Been using all sorts of games and so far havent found a game i cant run from red dead to on ultra to forza 5 it runs it all. Not to mention the atlest 1.30 ypu get from playing. But it gets better with the 1600p 8 in screen it feels like a pc. Then there the joycons that detach i didnt think id like then but they dont wiggle while in the screen and they feel really comfortable. So if you want a better handheld than the steamdeck get this.

The Legion Go a great gaming device however I decided to return it because it wasn't for me. It's just far too heavy to play comfortably in my hands and the battery drains very fast. It's great to travel with as long you don't mind docking it while playing but personally that defeats the purpose as I already have a lightweight gaming laptop. I'm far an audiophile however I was able to notice speaker quality was lacking which can be ignored it you're fine with using Bluetooth earbuds. Please note, this if not an out of the box gameplay device and requires some setting up before you can start playing a game. GREAT IF YOU WANT: A portable gaming laptop A large touchpad screen Controllers that can slide off similar to a Switch A customizable device that you to tinker with NOT FOR IF YOU WANT: Right out of the box gameplay A lightweight device Quality speakers Hours of gameplay without having to charge

    Thoughts on legion go

The legion is a pretty amazing device, especially after you figure out how to use it correctly! But it does not take that to do that, thankfully. The only downside to it is like everyone says it battery life, witch is 2-5 houra depending on what your doing and how demanding it is. But this device has a very beautiful 8” inch Screen and can play basically any game you want on the go in performance mode roughly about 30 fps in 2k, and 49+ fps in 1080p. In all i do recommend it.

I love my Legion go. I don’t find it hard to hold and I have small hands. I can run all games player very smoothly. With some small adjustments the sticks work great with call of duty. I haven’t changed much with settings, just changed the bios to 6 and I’m hitting 65-100 fps in call of duty mw3. I love being able to just sit on the couch and play and still engage with others around me. I have average computer knowledge and I find this device rather easy to set up and use. Anything that I’m wanting to do that might be out of my scope is easy to follow along with a YouTube video. I love this and I definitely recommend the legion go. I don’t find portability to be much of an issue. It fits well in my backpack and the case that comes with it is very adequate in protecting it. I do recommend getting a screen protector for extra screen protection. Even with the controllers being able to detach I don’t find the the controllers to be unstable when holding. Even with the extra buttons on the back of the controller I don’t find it awkward to hold and I have little to no hand fatigue. I do enjoy the customizable settings to make games run smoother. Depending on your goal and expectations you can adjust the legion go rather easy to make the game you play run and smooth as you need it. If you’re on the fence I say choose this I love the screen size and it just feels nice when using. I definitely don’t regret my purchase.

I'm very impressed with the Legion Go; I can't compare it to any other handheld PC or Steam Deck. I can say that it is powerful enough to run any game I've tried, and it is as versatile as any Windows PC. I wasn't looking for the console-type experience touted on the Steam Deck, and I appreciate that it can run anything that can run on Windows. If you already use a Windows PC or laptop, you'll have no problem configuring this device. Turn off the sleep mode, use hibernate instead, and update all the drivers. If you like to tinker with settings, that's even more to enjoy. I rarely need it to last more than an hour or two, so the battery capacity is fine for me. It is comfortable to hold, and the detachable controllers (w/built-in kickstand) can be quite useful at times. Above all, the screen is amazing. It is vibrant, huge, and immersive. Highly recommended!

The Lenovo Legion Go is an absolute powerhouse, combining the portability of a handheld with the performance of a gaming PC. The 8.8-inch QHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate makes gameplay incredibly smooth, while the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor handles even the most demanding titles with ease. The ergonomic design and detachable controllers add comfort and flexibility, and with Windows 11, I can access all my favorite games effortlessly. Whether for AAA gaming or on-the-go entertainment, the Legion Go delivers an unbeatable experience.

The Legion Go is a great option for portable gaming. If Microsoft releases a handheld friendly version of Windows that allows for a more console like experience, it would be nearly perfect. Detachable controllers work well and are a welcome addition. I do find myself using it more frequently with the controllers attached as I tend to move around with it a lot. That being said, the shape of the controllers, while great on the back side, can be a little uncomfortable in the palms after 45min to an hour of gaming. Having two usb4 ports is excellent if you want to dock and use with a monitor or if you want to connect an eGPU for additional graphics power. I opted for the 1TB option as I bounce between quite a few different games and wanted the flexibility. If you’re only playing a few games at a time though, the 512GB is probably enough for most people. The performance of the Legion Go is great on its own. You’ll probably be tweaking some settings from game to game to get the most out of the experience but as a whole it can play most any game at medium quality settings.

Looking for a handheld gaming experience as I'm returning to office and will have a commute twice a week, I wanted a large-screen and having Windows as the OS. The Lenovo Legion Go checked of all the boxes. Very comfortable to hold and not too heavy when holding seated, standing, or laying down, the Go allows me to install and play games from my Steam, EA, Epic Games, GOG, and Rockstar accounts. The screen looks great and the ability to play games on the go is a huge plus. Also having a Windows based OS lets me use other products with ease. What I really like is being able to plug and use a USB-C based thumb drive to move files off and on my Legion Go. The areas of concern are sound and battery life. The default sound settings are lame but installing an EQ helped tremendously. Battery life: Is short about an hour or so unplugged while gaming. Browsing internet or watching movies, about 2 hours

    Traveler’s dream machine

I travel A LOT (like 100 days in the past 5 months) so this machine is a godsend. It has full Windows 11 Home for productivity and it can play triple-A games on a gorgeous 8.8-inch 2k screen with up to 144Hz FPS. I bought a NVMe extension and installed a 4TB Crucial P3 Plus SSD (I wanted an 8TB SSD but it’s like $800!!!) The extension cable downgraded the SSD speed to Gen3x4, but its still plenty fast. I have a 1TB SDXC microSD card and also a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD (in a USB C enclosure). That’s a whopping 7TB of memory on the go. I play in Performance mode so I’ll be lucky to get 2hrs of playtime…..but whatever, I can carry a power brick or just plug a 65W/100W charger into an airplane seat. If I want to get some work done, I connect my Corsair RGB mouse, my iClever BK08 folding keyboard via Bluetooth, and 2K 17-in monitor. I use a simple USB C dongle with 1 USB C power in, 2 USB A ports and 1 HDMI out. I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!!

Software updates made this thing much more worth it! I tried it at launch and was disappointed with loud fan noise and really quiet speakers. For all the weight and sharp corners, it just added up to a miss for me sadly. But Lenovo has been working on smoothing out the software and I wanted to give it another shot because I missed that screen. Glad I did! I don't know if there was a hardware revision or what, but I barely notice the fans now. Still gets pretty hot. The speakers, out of the box, are still too quiet but the community has a solution -- turns out, Lenovo has a default mixer setting that you should definitely disable. Not sure what they were thinking, but once you turn that off and tweak the equalizer, the speakers are LOUD. Check out youtube or reddit for more info. Still not crazy about the sharp corners, but this thing is basically still a great grab especially if you can get it on sale or open box (since the Go S (Z1) and the Go 2 are coming out this year.

I'm writing this review after a couple months' ownership of the device. I had initially intended to get an ROG Ally, but ran into not being able to activate Windows on that device led me to return it and get the Legion Go instead. I'm certainly glad that I did, as the Legion Go has been a fantastic device. The device, to me, well fills the gap between doing things on a phone and a larger tablet / laptop. I frequently browse the web and consume YouTube on it. The 8" 1440p touch screen displays with vibrant colors. I've been able to play pretty much any game I've thrown at it without issue -- Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Rocket League, Goat Simulator, emulators, etc. The Hall effect joysticks are smooth and responsive, and the buttons and triggers have a nice weight to their action. Depending on performance settings and use case, I can get somewhere between an hour and a half to around six hours on a charge. While not fantastic, it's more than adequate for the time I typically have to sit around and play. On the other hand, the downsides are that I haven't quickly found a way to re-map the Legion Space button (I haven't searched for hacky workarounds, just official methods). I'd like to use Windows' built-in XBox Game Bar instead of Lenovo's wrapper around all the game stores I already install individually. Also, there isn't room for the charger in the included hard-shell case, only the device itself. I would have liked a bit of extra storage, but I already carry a GoPro case for my tech accessories so it's not a deal breaker. Finally, I would recommend also getting a Bluetooth keyboard to accompany the device. Not a fault of the device itself, but the Windows on-screen keyboard takes up a large proportion of the screen, so seeing what you're typing can be a nuisance. I have an ikon MKB80 that I picked up abroad for cheap that serves this purpose well.

Thies is an amazing product. That tingling, rumblinging feeling in your tummy like when your on a roller coaster that you chose willingly to ride, thats what the Lenovo Legion Go is like! I named mine Shiva, after the Indian male God, as he is God of several pillars of life, Known for music, war, yoga, he is similiar to the Legion Go in that the versatility is a characteristic both have, and the expirience each has is substantial. My Shiva has become a companion. The three main features of Shiva ill point out are, its portabile, its powerfull, its fun! Portability with Shiva is as portable as is possible. I can literally take my Lenovo Legion Go ''Shiva'' with me everywhere. Its easyt to carry because light weight when you compare it to a Desktop! Its powerful like one too' but ill touch on power later. The portable factor of Shiva is executed flawlessly' and having access to a full Office everywhere I go is true portable computing expirience. Add a few accessories such as a Gaming Headset' a keyboard' and a powerpack' and you'll have yourself the ability to ask youraelf'would i like to go to the park today while i do my Back 4 Blood run!? Its so portable and fun and its the power that makes it possible. Its powerful. This thing keeps up with the games from Microsoft PC Pass. I also bought Cyberpunk 2077 and it plays that too! Some games i make a couple clicks on the graphics adjuster preset in settings and it speeds up. But ive been amazed at how visually beautiful this is and its the powerful processor that makes it possible. It handles high quality visuals and online play with ease. Go for the 1tb version if you plan to play offline alot' go with the 512 GB if you plan to use PC Pass and can delete and download new games when your done. So you can have fun! This thing is fun! Ive had so much fun with my lenovo Legion Go ''Shiva'' and I have killed Zombies while eating eggs sausage and coffee at the cafeteria, its fun playing Back 4 Blood when your out to eat! Just imagine what youll do! Its so much fun! If you are debating between handhelds, the Lenovo Legion Go is the portable' Powercul fun handheld personal computer specialized for gamers but not exclusively locked to them.

I went into the store looking to get a gaming laptop. I ended up leaving having purchased the legion go, and I haven’t regretted it for a minute. It has intuitive system controls that you can access with the click of a button. I it getting a little hot? Turn the fans up and feel it cool down in seconds. Get up to 2k quality at 144hz refresh rate. The screen is the biggest in a handheld I’ve seen. The controllers are removable and you have to check out fps mode. Just look it up because describing it doesn’t do it justice. Overall, I’ve had this device for a few months now and am very glad I got this and not a laptop.

Very amazing quality! Don't go in thinking it's a Nintendo switch. It's much more Pro's: 1. Literally a portable computer. 2. Huge screen for immersion 3. Amazing graphics for a handheld 4. Beyond amazing for editing (video editing picture editing) Cons: 1. Huge can be a downside, it can't be pocketed 2. Poor battery life even when playing games that aren't intensively draining. (Rog Ally suffers this too) 3. Emulation can be annoying to set up do to maneuvering on the screen 4. Buttons when detached and using in "Fps mode" can feel odd even though they're not in use in this mode.
