Underrated gaming hand held
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had this a bit over a month now and i can safely say this was worth it cheaper than a gaming pc and for those who like to take their steam/xbox games with them or play in bed like me this is perfect it runs good doesnt get hot at least not unreasonably hot, i personally like the size i hate staring tiny screens battery life is prolly what id expect for a hand held prolly about 90 mintunes maybe 2 hours on lighter games its like a switch and a gaming pc mashed into one which isnt a complaint charges pretty fast too i love being able to play on my tv if i want too all you need is a type c to hdmi works great tho the sound isnt as loud as i though itd be maybe headphones would be good to use with it. It does have pretty loud fans that may bother some people ? But over all its a good build quality the hindge isnt cheap at all i think for most people this is a good choice for a hand held

Exceptional gaming handheld!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great overall gaming experience. Haven't had any issues. No, it's not going to perform like a top end gaming desktop. For a handheld, it is a beast!

LEGION GO IS GREAT! But....
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Legion Go. I've had this bad boy for a month as of writing this review and it's one of the best gaming handhelds out there. BUT. The problem I have with it is the fact that Lenovo themselves are SLOW with releasing updates for the thing. If you are tech savvy and are able to install the latest AMD software updates yourself then go for it! If not, and your just an everyday gamer, don't! I'll update this review once (hopefully) Lenovo updates the graphics, till then steer clear!

Buggy and unreliable wouldn’t recommmend
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I purchased this device with high hopes of using it right out of the box. Well that didn’t happen. The device itself hefty but fits in the hads very well. The kickstand is anazing and holds the device at multiple angles. However the drivers are not stable and aoftware does not run correctly on it. My biggest issue is when the screen goes to sleep you can not wake tge device back up, you have to turn the device off and back on to get going again and I know all I have to do is turn the standby or screen off time to never but its a windows comluter so these basic features should work properly. The other issue is with the on screen keyboard. When you first click on a text field the on screen keyboard pops up and your good to go but if you click directly to another text field tye on screen keyboard closes and will not re-open unless you click off the text firld and then back on to it. This is a no go for me. Last for this review but certainly not all the problems I experienced is the fact the GPU has no supporting software and even AMD cant determin the devices video drivers. It has AMD hardware. Come on man this device should have never been released in its current form. I will be returning my device tomorrow for a refund. I may try again in the future but for now your best to stick woth the Asus Ally as it seems to be the proven and fully correctly functioning Handled PC Gaming Platform.

Still impressed after a year!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Legion Go for almost a year and I think it’s good time to share my experience. Aesthetically, the Legion Go looks great. The black finish looks sleek, and the controllers make it look very large. That’s because of the beautiful 8.8" (2560x1600) screen, which basically qualifies as a tablet on its own. This “tablet” has a convenient stand which has not become wobbly at all. The controllers’ edges did feel a bit uncomfortable at the beginning, especially on the lower palms, and holding it for long periods was limiting due to its massive 1.85 lbs. weight. I usually use it on the couch where I can rest my elbows, on the table when resting my entire arms, or in bed with the controllers detached. The physical gaming experience has been better than expected. As a handheld, I am impressed by the haptic feedback of the controllers. The buttons feel high-quality. The thumb sticks are super responsive and have not given me any drifting. The D-pad has good inputs with nearly no false diagonals. The trigger and shoulder buttons have nice travel and feel. I hardly use the back buttons, but they are there if I ever need them. As far as connectivity, I am happy that there are 2 USB-C ports that are compatible with data, monitors, and charging. When I want a bigger viewing experience, I like to plug the Legion Go into my 32in 1080p TV using a USB-C-to-HDMI cable or with the hub/stand I bought for it. The device features Bluetooth for devices that require it, such as buds, and I am relieved that there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is best for spatial audio content. As a PC, this device has been quite capable. With a full version of Windows 11, I can practically do everything I would do with my laptop. From productivity and browsing, to consuming content such as video. While there is an on-screen keyboard, I use a Bluetooth foldable keyboard. While there is a trackpad on the right controller, the right controller can become a physical mouse with the included base, so no mouse is needed. The Legion Go can be hooked to a monitor, just like a PC. But most importantly, how is the gaming experience and performance? Well, in that department I am happy to report that I am still impressed. Now there are two different experiences depending on the power delivery and settings (TDP). Unplugged, the resolution, frames (fps), and battery life suffer. I found that the sweet spot for AAA games at medium settings is at 800p to 1080p max. This would bring games closer to 60 fps., and still look great. When plugged into power, I can raise the TDP and run games 1080p-1440p, or at max settings at lower resolutions. Either way, the games look great, especially since the screen has excellent brightness and clarity. I am also glad that the device comes with 1TB of storage and allows for expansion via microSD cards. I tend to install large AAA games on the internal storage for faster loading, and less demanding games on the SD card. Not everything is perfect, though. The Legion Go, although being described as a portable device, is so heavy that carrying it around can be challenging. It is even worse in the included case. It has been confined to in-house use mainly. Another issue that affects portability is battery life. Typically, AAA games at full TDP settings, can drain the battery in an hour or two. This can be mitigated by lowering all settings, but the experience may suffer due to low graphics and fps. While you can carry around a portable battery, it would have to be a powerful one. While I have taken it on trips, I would not take it on my daily commute. This is a nitpick, but I find it worth noting, is that the speakers on the unit are very bad, making headphones a must. As you can tell, I am very pleased with the overall experience so far. Although portability does matter, even after a year, I continued to be impressed.

Good value when on sale!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenovo Legion Go offers a fantastic and truly enjoyable gaming experience, primarily driven by its massive, vibrant 8.8-inch screen and powerful AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. Its excellent portability is boosted by the highly flexible design, which includes a sturdy built-in kickstand and detachable controllers, allowing for comfortable gaming in almost any setting. While the size might be bulky compared to competitors, the flexibility it offers is unmatched. As for the downside, the battery life is just okay. You'll get roughly 1-2 hours playing demanding AAA titles, but you can stretch that further with lighter games and lower power settings. Given the device’s power and screen size, keeping a charger or power bank nearby is essential. Despite the battery limitations, the combination of performance, flexibility, and a stunning display makes the Legion Go an easy device to recommend for anyone wanting a feature-rich, large-screen Windows handheld.

Why me?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Second day I had the device I got a black screen with green stripes (see picture). I powered it off and on and it went away. Two days later the color display started losing color the whole display and everything faded. While gaming I would also see quick white flashes. I factory reset the Lenovo to get it ready to return it. That fixed the display color. There’s no way keeping this one. I’m going to give Lenovo Go another go! Hopefully this one works.

Fantastic handheld
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was quite hesitant to make the purchase on this handheld gaming pc, more so with all the careful research through YouTube videos and forum posts before deciding which one I wanted. I'm glad I went with this one. Albeit the battery was a concern, but it makes up for it with performance. i have a gaming laptop as well but I find myself using this more often just for how convenient it is to play the games I want to play without suffering too much on the fps side of things. Also since its windows based I can have the other services like epic games along with steam. It's mouse feature with the detachable controller was a little confusing at first, but it became a lot easier to use and was surprisingly innovative for what it was. I like this little thing, it does what it needs to and does a little more. I recommend this to anyone looking to do some gaming on the go.

Good First Gen Attempt
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a unique device that I has the combination of an Asus ROG Ally combined with a Nintendo Switch with a bigger screen. The screen, hands down, is amazing! The beauty and size makes this a wonderful screen to use whether for gaming, surfing, watching videos, or doing homework. SD Card is great, detachable controllers are easy to detach and re-attach. Includes a case with a handle! The cons to this device are: for medium and small hands, it is way too big and needs a controller grip to reduce the weight. Hands went numb after about 30-45 minutes of use. The fan is super loud, comparable to my RTX 3080 XG Mobile and that is pretty loud. Volume is upwards firing, next to the air vent, being drowned out by the fan. The FPS mode may work for some, but it did not work for me and when playing it attached, constantly pressing buttons. I didn't have any refresh rate issues when playing this device, but having VRR would be nice. For the price and competition, it is good for those who don't mind the larger size and find the weight acceptable.
