So far this console has been great with graphics and running games. There was one time it was charging and it struggled with my game on Steam but that hasn’t happened again. One less start for battery life, which I knew wasn’t the longest going into it so that was expected but still a bummer for playing on the go, and for set up. It was easy enough since I already had a Microsoft account but it’s basically setting up a new computer without a key pad. I love the track pad for computer functions. I’m excited to get a dock to play this on my tv. It is a little heavy but that’s to be expected for the size of the console. The hand grips are very comfortable still and the fan is near silent which is awesome.

I absolutely love the Legion Go. I also own the Steam Deck. Which I upgraded to 2TB, overclocked, under-volted, installed windows 11 on dual boot with Clover, changed thermal pads to Honeywell thermal pads, and changed the whole case to a JSAUX case with better thermal. Anyways, even with all that I didn't on the Steam Deck, it still lacked the power for a really smooth WINDOWS gaming experience. Not only that, the OG Steam Deck has a pretty awful screen that messing with my eyesight. Here I am, about 3 months with the Legion Go, and I couldn't be happier. The screen a perfect size, it's not OLED, but man it looks good! And games run nice and smooth at 800p with decent visual fidelity and decent frame rate with the right settings. Battery does tend to drain when pushing it, but I just make sure to have a big power bank with me when traveling, and stay plugged in when available. That being said, I haven't even been tempted to startodding the Legion Go. Just don't have the need to, it runs great as is.

Solid Device, Has Replaced My PC

I have a Steam Deck and a Nintendo Switch, although most of my gaming is done on a PS5. The Lenovo Go is my new favorite handheld device. First, the screen is MASSIVE and is the reason why I can’t play my steam deck anymore. Since this is a Windows machine, it plays all of the Steam games my Steam Deck can’t play (yes, there are LOTS of games like this - Yakuza 5, Sword and Fairy 7, and anto-cheat games). Since it’s Windows, things just run. Some cons: the battery life is low (so I keep it plugged in), the initial install and updates take a while, and there’s some customizing necessary (such as configuring the two side controllers to work with some games). On the other hand, I have been treating the device like a computer, and now I’ve been using it instead of my latop while traveling, which has been nice — since it comes with a case. The device doesn’t feel too big or heavy to me, but I will say fingerprints get all over it pretty easily — you’ll have it wipe it down between sessions. The fans aren’t loud, but I do notice them like I would a normal computer. Overall, I love it, mainly because of the screen and portability.

i bought this because i held the ally, and it just felt cheap in my hands. after holding the legion go in my hands with the huge screen, i was sold! the detatchable controllers are kindda gimiky as well as the "fps mode" however those are just querks of the deivce. do i use it like that , no, so it doesnt bother me. it has almost replaced my gaming laptop , i say that because i find that i use this more often even if its to do some light browseing. i litterally have this every where i go. it isnt the fastest thing in the world , however its not ment to be. i enjoy mine very much

TL;DR - Great screen, great game performance in handheld, controllers are mostly great with some meh, legion space UI, battery, and docked setup are frustratingly bad. If you're ok with the bad, you won't find better performance in a handheld. For the price I feel like Lenovo can do significantly better. Some things I really like: ----Performance is phenomenal (in handheld mode). Handles Elden Ring and Kingdom Come at high settings with consistent 30 FPS. ----Display is gorgeous. Good colors, 144 hz refresh rate, high resolution options. Elden Ring really pops. ----Controller feels very nice and has buttons and a scroll wheel on the back for extra customization. As a bonus, the controller can be separated like the nintendo switch. ----Built in kickstand to support tabletop play, just like the switch. Some things that are meh: ----Trackpad. I like the idea of it, but the execution just isn't as good as the steam deck. It's positioned just close enough to my hand to where it randomly gets activated, causing my game to freak out and switch between controller and keyboard modes. Notably, this happens with baldur's gate 3. Fortunately, you can disable trackpad, but then what's the point of having it? ----Fan noise is fairly loud. Doesn't bother me, but some people will find it annoying. Some bad: ----The battery life is pretty bad. Expect maybe 1 hour playing Elden Ring at a good resolution/quality setting. ----Machine won't charge while docked. This is a willful hardware design choice by Lenovo and it's stupid. To be fair, the machine has two usb-c ports so I can dock and charge at the same time. It wouldn't be so bad if the ports were both at the top of the machine, but one is on the bottom...meaning now I have to set the machine down at a weird angle or it will block air flow. It's stupid, be better Lenovo. The machine is far too expensive to not be able to use it in docked mode. ----Balanced power setting will throttle game performance HARD, meaning your game will turn into a powerpoint presentation when lots of stuff is happening. Fortunately this can be changed in the settings by switching to quality mode, but again...why? ----Legion Space. Compared to Steam deck, Legion space UI looks like something from 2005. Again, fortunately you don't have to use it, but it makes me question, why even have it? Why are any of these design choices a thing?

Have been using the Legion Go for about an year and it has always been a performer. The detachable joysticks are easy to use and the huge screen with high refresh rate helps a lot to play games on it. Can also do productive works as well if connected to an external monitor and other peripherals. An excellent purchase for me no doubt!

For getting an open box excellent, the thing was basically brand new. Turned on and updated everything, took a little over an hour and downloaded steam/epic/battlenet and i can pretty much play everything i want.. im not really into AAA titles so i can run everything on high and i dont get over 70c. even then you dont feel that heat in your hands. yeah its heavy and the battery is kinda wack but theres 3rd party ones you can buy and almost double run time, or do what i did and get a power bank or just be relatively close to an outlet and play plugged in. Started using this mainly to emulate games i havent played in the past 20 years and its perfect for me. Screen is crispy for watching movies/youtube in bed, the little stand on the back is nice if you want to give your hands a break cus it is heavy, sound however is super tinny out of the box so youll need to go to the equalizer and play around a little. It’s windows so you will need to tinker with it a little, and just know some games you will have to lower the settings. By no means is this a gaming PC with a 5090 lol but for handheld computer it does the things

I watched a ton of reviews on the Legion Go, but with it being my first experience with a PC handheld, i knew i wouldnt completely know if it was right for me unless i got one to try for myself. Not only did i like it, but it has been a total game changer for me and how i spend my free time since i can literally take this device that has ALL of my games on it, anywhere i go. Its been a fantastic experience, and i would highly recommend for anyone who may be on the fence like i was, to go for it! The screen is excellent, it can play everything in my personal gaming library (your mileage may vary of course), from GTA5, RDR2, Diablo 4, and more, all over 60 FPS. The battery only lasts about an hour to an hour and a half on peak performance but you can squeeze a few hours out of it by tweaking the settings for less graphically intense games.

TLDR - It's great with a few minor flaws. The Good. 1. Plays most games really well at 800p, some at even higher resolutions. Also, it boots insanely fast! 2. Barely any heat or fan noise. I have played this thing for many hours at a time on max 30w settings and the fan is almost silent, and I barely detect any heat. If you put the fan on crazy mode it can be loudish, but I play on ballanced made and its really quiet. 3. The screen is amazing! 4. The SD card does not overheat! 5. It's pretty comfortable! 6. Great case and changer. Even has a charging hole in the case. The Bad. 1. Legion Space is worthless. 2. The Start and Select buttons are tied to freaking Legion Space. Unforgivable! 3. The battery aint amazing. At max settings I will get about an hour and a half. If I want to play for an extended time I'm plugging in 100% of the time. 4. Windows. But that's not the fault of Lenovo. It is what it is. At least it boots like a demon. 5. The bottom corners can dig into the palm of your hand and be uncomfortable after a time.

Great all-around handheld for the price. Got it on sale which made it more worth it. Performance is great after looking up some guides and tweaking some recommended settings, screen is good size 8.8 inches bigger than most other handhelds and looks amazing. Battery life is the only thing that’s not the best depending on what you’re running but you can upgrade the battery if you want too. Overall 4/5 for a good handheld if you don’t want to pay $1000 plus for one of the newer ones it still is super solid and recommended.

    Amazing Upgrade from Steam Deck

Coming from a Steam Deck 512GB, this is truly a monumental upgrade. If you know how to use windows (ex. if you’ve had a gaming PC) you’ll be able to easily navigate the UI and maximize the potential of the software in its current form which is similar to a desktop (I use the steam PC app). Everything from the incredible image of the new screen, powerful graphics (both immense advantages over Steam Deck which used to be my favorite device) and quality feel to the buttons, RGB lights, etc. My only “dislikes” are the layout of the buttons on the backside (I prefer the steam deck layout) but understand the trade off to have the removable controllers. Battery life is also not terribly long in graphical intensive games, but it’s a very good trade for the level of power this system offers. Highly highly recommend

Works great! Perfect performance and graphics. HUGE step up from a steam deck. This is literally the king of handheld gaming consoles right now. The rog ally has a sd card slot issue (I returned mine after 2 days) and the steam deck is a great budget console sacrificing some graphics and windows but ultimately gaining battery life as the Lenovo go has a mediocre battery life. The performance and big screen make up for that and you can remove the controllers from the console and slid them into a “v” adapter (sold separately) to play it like a true controller console. I love it.

I was iffy on trying to decide between this and the Steam Deck. I'm very happy with my choice. Running all the games from my steam account, I'm living temporary and unable to set up my entire computer setup but still missed my games, so perfect as an actual portable computer. Bluetooth capability so I connected a mouse and a keyboard. Battery life isn't that great but I'm still figuring out all the settings so I could not just have it configured out correctly yet, Charges quickly at least. Screen is large and fantastic quality.

At first glance it seems as though the controller would be flimsy like a switch joycon. Not true! Very solidly built and premium feeling construction! And with all the bios and system updates that have happened over the life of the Z1 extreme chip, this handheld is such a solid performer! Couple that with the massive (and I mean MASSIVE) screen and you have the makings of an absolutely insane handheld! Of course the obvious issue is battery life and if uou want a bigger battery you will have to pony up the extra cash for some of the newer handhelds with bigger batteries but i dont mind carrying a battery bank around if needed or staying plugged in though i will say if you are willing to play 1080P at 30hz for lost games at the battery saver preset then you can get pretty close to 2 hours of play off the charger! I love it! Great handheld! And keep in mind that because you have the detachable controllers you can alway grab a 3rd party controller connector for around 20 dollars on amazon and you have a full controller setup for docked mode! Love this handhled overall and would highly recommend to anyone in the market for one!

On par with the same specs as the ROG Ally but the screen size upgrade and quality is what got me. With that, comes the down side your battery life isn't super great. It boasts to have a better battery life than competitors but its overall the same if you push it to the higher quality. If you don't mind playing with just a smidgen of muddier graphics its perfect. Controllers coming off the device was a gimmicky thing that I had to 3d print a middle piece for since they currently do not make one was just meh. Controller feel imo a lot better than the Ally but not quite as good as the Steam Deck. I do use this as my secondary computer a lot taking it with me everywhere and I love it.
