Have been using the Legion Go for about an year and it has always been a performer. The detachable joysticks are easy to use and the huge screen with high refresh rate helps a lot to play games on it. Can also do productive works as well if connected to an external monitor and other peripherals. An excellent purchase for me no doubt!

For getting an open box excellent, the thing was basically brand new. Turned on and updated everything, took a little over an hour and downloaded steam/epic/battlenet and i can pretty much play everything i want.. im not really into AAA titles so i can run everything on high and i dont get over 70c. even then you dont feel that heat in your hands. yeah its heavy and the battery is kinda wack but theres 3rd party ones you can buy and almost double run time, or do what i did and get a power bank or just be relatively close to an outlet and play plugged in. Started using this mainly to emulate games i havent played in the past 20 years and its perfect for me. Screen is crispy for watching movies/youtube in bed, the little stand on the back is nice if you want to give your hands a break cus it is heavy, sound however is super tinny out of the box so youll need to go to the equalizer and play around a little. It’s windows so you will need to tinker with it a little, and just know some games you will have to lower the settings. By no means is this a gaming PC with a 5090 lol but for handheld computer it does the things

Works great! Perfect performance and graphics. HUGE step up from a steam deck. This is literally the king of handheld gaming consoles right now. The rog ally has a sd card slot issue (I returned mine after 2 days) and the steam deck is a great budget console sacrificing some graphics and windows but ultimately gaining battery life as the Lenovo go has a mediocre battery life. The performance and big screen make up for that and you can remove the controllers from the console and slid them into a “v” adapter (sold separately) to play it like a true controller console. I love it.

Pretty much the best handheld PC by far. Fairly large, but packs a huge punch. I was able to run Alan Wake 2 on low setting perfectly fine! That alone is a benchmark. The battery is pretty rough when unplugged. Screen is GORGEOUS!

On par with the same specs as the ROG Ally but the screen size upgrade and quality is what got me. With that, comes the down side your battery life isn't super great. It boasts to have a better battery life than competitors but its overall the same if you push it to the higher quality. If you don't mind playing with just a smidgen of muddier graphics its perfect. Controllers coming off the device was a gimmicky thing that I had to 3d print a middle piece for since they currently do not make one was just meh. Controller feel imo a lot better than the Ally but not quite as good as the Steam Deck. I do use this as my secondary computer a lot taking it with me everywhere and I love it.

I was iffy on trying to decide between this and the Steam Deck. I'm very happy with my choice. Running all the games from my steam account, I'm living temporary and unable to set up my entire computer setup but still missed my games, so perfect as an actual portable computer. Bluetooth capability so I connected a mouse and a keyboard. Battery life isn't that great but I'm still figuring out all the settings so I could not just have it configured out correctly yet, Charges quickly at least. Screen is large and fantastic quality.

We aim to provide excellent user experience for our products, and we would like to offer you a possible solution to improve your battery life.

Your Legion Go comes with the ability to adjust the active thermal mode based off your needs. To start press the Options hexagonal key on the right controller, from the right-hand menu you select your preferred mode. We recommend using Quiet mode to reduce power consumption and increase battery life. You can also adjust the OS Power Mode which will further increase battery if you choose Efficiency Mode.

The legion go is pretty go. I have no basis to compare it to other handhelds, but I wish it had the ability to without a mod more ram and more ssd storage. I have put games on an external ssd and sometimes they just freeze up. Other than that, I have no complaints this far with the legion go. Possibly the battery life, but then again when comparing it to other devices it’s competitive if not in the same ball park of battery life. Which is around 1.5 to 2 hours of gameplay on a demanding game like Fallout 4 or Mafia. While playing other games you could get 3-4 hours of gameplay. Using the legion go for browsing the web the battery life is around 4 or 5 hours. It’s important to remember that this is a computer with a screen that is connected to a battery. But, it’s not just an average computer it’s a gaming computer. So when considering the battery life, I can’t really expect more from such a device. I feel it’s pretty well created. When comparing it to my cellular phone and its battery life I may get 3 or 4 hours of constant use, yet my phone is nowhere near the computing power of the legion go. Which means I feel the legion go is far more energy efficient when considering the tasks it can accomplish with the battery life. The display is very crisp, it feels at times can appear 3-d which I feel is very cool. I’m comparison to my MacBook which is over 10 years old or my iPad which is also over ten years old the legion go is quite a different machine. More modern, more powerful, and it can play games. I haven’t had much use with it plugged in and playing games as I mainly charge it and then use it. But from other reviews it becomes more powerful in terms of graphic output once plugged in. If you’re into gaming, like a nice clean vibrant screen, enjoy the windows experience, then this is your device. I feel the ability to use this as a computer is why I really was interested in purchasing this. When added with an external monitor you can really have the true desktop experience and when you’re done you can lay in bed and game. There’s no beating the functionality with the legion go.

Great all-around handheld for the price. Got it on sale which made it more worth it. Performance is great after looking up some guides and tweaking some recommended settings, screen is good size 8.8 inches bigger than most other handhelds and looks amazing. Battery life is the only thing that’s not the best depending on what you’re running but you can upgrade the battery if you want too. Overall 4/5 for a good handheld if you don’t want to pay $1000 plus for one of the newer ones it still is super solid and recommended.

At first glance it seems as though the controller would be flimsy like a switch joycon. Not true! Very solidly built and premium feeling construction! And with all the bios and system updates that have happened over the life of the Z1 extreme chip, this handheld is such a solid performer! Couple that with the massive (and I mean MASSIVE) screen and you have the makings of an absolutely insane handheld! Of course the obvious issue is battery life and if uou want a bigger battery you will have to pony up the extra cash for some of the newer handhelds with bigger batteries but i dont mind carrying a battery bank around if needed or staying plugged in though i will say if you are willing to play 1080P at 30hz for lost games at the battery saver preset then you can get pretty close to 2 hours of play off the charger! I love it! Great handheld! And keep in mind that because you have the detachable controllers you can alway grab a 3rd party controller connector for around 20 dollars on amazon and you have a full controller setup for docked mode! Love this handhled overall and would highly recommend to anyone in the market for one!

I love this thing. I have a 4090 gaming pc but often find myself grabbing this for a couch session vs sitting in front of the much larger monitor. I also travel often so this thing is awesome on flights(bring a re-chargeable battery bank with USB PD 65w) and in the hotels. Pros: Screen size, built in trackpad, removable controllers, great performance when plugged in, good battery life to performance with the adjustable power levels, includes a case, 2x USB4 connections, included kick stand, includes a mouse like experience with FPS mode, upgradable storage with SD card and can swap internal SSD. Cons: Controllers aren't great, included case has no charger storage, no oculink interface, 16GB of RAM to be split with GPU is not enough for native 1600P gaming.

I originally had a first generation steam deck but it was very bulky imo and the battery life was awful. Loud fans at all times. The lenovo legion go is so much better. First, i was really impressed with the kickstand. I know it doesnt mean a lot to some but it takes so much weight off your hands and makes it so much more comfortable to use. Plus, you can literally customize every aspect of it. Perfomance modes, fan modes, detachable controllers for comfort, i could go on. I’m really glad i bought this. I hope they keep detachable controllers as an option in the future although i probably won’t use them in actual FPS games. They’re awkward in that sense but nice at the fact you can dock the main component and still use familiar controllers + the mousepad on the right controller. Lastly, i was very concerned about windows 11 vs steamOS. I ended up liking windows 11! I can use browsing to watch tv/movies and do light schoolwork. Just use big picture mode on the steam application and it works just like a steam deck. Best of both worlds!! Get it. You won’t be disappointed

Hands down the coolest peace of tech i own. Perfect for anyone that like to play video games and travels. The fact that you can play on this thing like a switch and have the full capability of a laptop is insane. You can connect it to a monitor/tv if you need, in addition to connecting a separate controller. I was concerned at first that i wouldn't be able to play a lot of the games i currently own (as i have a PS5 and this runs on windows) however it is possible. I also run a handful of steam games on it and it handles them extremely well. I will say the battery life really depends on the game you're playing and what performance mode you have it on. The controls are harder to get used to and may take some time to adjust(buttons are able to be re-maped if you don't like the default layout)

I've used this for about a week and while it's nice, there are some issues to note. I would say that this handheld has a lot going for it, with the amazing screen, the feel of the product, and the power under the hood. However, in my case, I found there to be some issues that others might not be able to overlook. 1. Speakers - They are atrocious. My phone speakers can easily overpower the speakers on this handheld. Not only are they not very loud, they get very sharp at the top. I'm surprised considering that Lenovo makes some great sounding laptop speakers. I'm not expecting much, just more than a Nintendo Switch. 2. Windows - Windows is a mixed bag when it comes to handhelds and from my experience. I had some bugs with windows where games won't start, they won't recognize the controller (I have to plug in a mouse and keyboard to switch it over, and the touch screen doesn't work), keyboard won't open(have to restart), and problems with the screen orientation getting stuck. At first I thought that maybe there are some updates to fix it, but it's fully updated. I'm sure with time, this will definitely be fixed as these are absolutely software issues. 3. Fan Noise This is my biggest gripe with it and I can't keep it because of this. The fan always runs when in Balanced or Performance mode, and the pitch is a high one that I am sensitive to. If you can get through the issues above, I'd highly recommend it, but for me, I have to look at something else.

With every new device to market comes growing pains, maturing drivers/ firmware updates and even software updates. However, after a month of owning the device, i feel im out of the honeymoon stage. Ive put over 30 hours into hogwarts legacy, 20 hours into cyberpunk, and 15-20 into cod mw3. And it runs them all flawlessly using amd’s upscaling tool. I’ve been through multiple rounds of updates, and with every update ive had it performs better than the last. I even owned an ROG Ally prior that failed within 2 weeks and I replaced it with this. If you are looking between the two i feel the legion go is a way better option. The ally may have a variable refresh rate screen, but thats all it has over the legion go. After owning both actually noticing it is very minimal. The bigger screen/resolution, the analog sticks, using the sd card reader, and lenovos support and communication with device has been great. Lenovo has been keeping its customers informed what their plans are next for the device. I know most people will treat this like a console and judge it based on legion space. I dont really use legion space unless it is to change power profiles, adjust dead zone for analog sticks, adjust screen brightness, or change rgb stick colors. Im very much into computers and very tech savvy, and is actually my field of work. I launch every game through their launchers( ie steam, xbox app, epic). In my opinion it is a waste of system resources to use legion space for anything but that. If you get this device, it is a computer. Understand that when comparing this to other devices such as the steam deck this one will have less limitations. Games that cannot be ran due to compatibility to steam OS or anticheat software. A game that would come to mind is Call of duty. Due to its anti cheat software yoy cannot play it on a steam deck. Another advantage is game pass, if you have an xbox with game pass ultimate you can sign in and use it on this and use it. However, because it is a full blown windows PC, it will require some tinkering to find your preferred balance of performance/efficiency. Battery life isnt the greatest understand that prior to getting it. It is like a gaming laptop yes they have batteries but the battery may last an hour or 2 at best and gaming on at least my laptop on battery is impossible. Yes, it can last on less demanding games for longer periods but for hogwarts legscy ill get an hour and 15 min and same with cyberpunk with everything maxxed on performance. Im the best case scenario for this device, i work overnight with a work truck that has an inverter, so i can always charge the device and use a hotspot for internet. I invested in a 10ft usb charge cable and a 100watt power adapter when im home. I have kids who like to take over the tv with their games/movies. This allows me to sit farther from a plug then the allotted power cord. I play most of my games on pc, and this allows me to be anywhere and cross save from my pc. I would recommend this device because even though the battery is a compromise. There are ways to help get it to last longer. And being able to play my entire steam library anywhere is a game changer.
