I was worried about getting the OG Legion Go because of all the complaints about battery life, noise and weight. First: the handheld doesn't feel heavy at all on the hands; Second: the controllers are so comfortable, also detachable which is a "game changer" on itself; Third: with the correct settings (reddit is your friend on this), I've played for two straight hours and ended up with 70% battery left; and lastly, the noise and heat is real, this doesn't bother me that much but I understand that can be a deal breaker for some. Just try it and see it fo yourself.

One of the best options out there, in terms of handhelds. Ive tried the steamdeck, and the RoG Ally, and this device has the best specs, as well as the biggest screen. Im a developer, so i installed Gentoo linux and got the system to idle under 1 GB of RAM. all of these gaming handhelds have an inferior computer experience because of windows and how it hogs resources that can be used in game. Overall, portability is high, just clear out the majority of space in your bag for this, or get a dedicated carry case that can also hold your charger and any accessories. The Built In controllers are okay. They could definitely be better. I typically just use my xbox elite controller 2. I got the 1 TB model, although i would highly consider upgrading a 2 TB or larger drive.

Works like a huge switch but a small computer, can take it anywhere. The only problem is the battery would die fast since it’s a gaming device it would need to be plugged in. Other than that I recommend it as a traveling gaming device.

Excellent gaming console, it runs most actual games at good grafics and frame rate, and its compact form make it perfect for transportation. But also it also has low battery life when playing games, and the screen its to big, even for the console it self, in some games the best thing to do is to decrease the resolution for a better performance. Totally recommend it surprised me how well it works in demanding games. And the controles are also surprisingly good.

It's really great I mainly wanted it to play some of my games away from my setup or on the go. This is my first handheld of its kind so here's my pros and cons as a first time user Pros: Great screen size Graphics are good granted I'm not playing shooters Controls are nice and comfy good memory Nice stand Cons: I call it space heater, it gets hot Not comfortable to hold for long and my hands are pretty average Battery isn't great

Amazing compact device, it's like a mini pc. It's pretty big only compared to other handheld devices. The optimization is not going to be the best ever but with a couple of tweaks in your settings you can have this device playing your favorite AAA games. Fan get pretty loud and screen heats up a bit but it's a given since it's the first gen. Hopefully soon Lenovo releases an upgraded version with all the fixes, then it'll be the perfect handheld you must own.

The Legion Go is a fun and amazing portable Handheld, It has good battery life, amazing performance on most games, Super high resolution screen for what it is, It's great for on the "Go" gaming or when you just want a Portable windows device, The controllers are also amazing being they are hall effect joysticks that have pretty much no deadzone and will never get drift, all the buttons are clicky and satisfying, the triggers are smooth.

Pros- the screen is huge and beautiful. Its windows based and runs everything. Comes with a cool case that lets you charge the device while closed. And what i thought was a gimmick has become my favorite thing about the legion go which is the FPS mode. Game changer. Cons- battery life is varies. It can be good sometimes and terrible the next. All depends on what youre playing. For some people this device might be to big. For me it was fine but it might not be for everyone. Not many accessories available for the device yet.

The Legion Go is great device for gaming or using it as a portable PC. The screen is amazing. The detachable controllers remind me of the Switch. Removing them basically turns the Go into a tablet PC. Only gripe I have are with the sound from the speakers. It’s not terrible but also not great. You can tweak the settings to improve it a bit or just wear headphones/earbuds and it’s all good. It’s a great device on its own or to add to your already existing collection of portable gaming PC’s.

This device is not for the unsavvy computer users, it took some effort to set it up for gaming and to get the best performance. Once i achieved that, i was in a different world playing all kinds of Steam games and Legion Go games, and even sent an email or two and browsed the web a few times. Bright fast and big display is pleasant on rhe eyes and the controllers are just perfectly designed to feel natural while in use! I recommend this to anyone looking for a mobile gaming computer, Lenova scored with this one!!!

This is the first gaming PC ever owned and for it to be a handheld PC well you can’t beat that! The screen is huge and the display is beautiful. The unboxing experience was satisfying. It has a little bit of weight to it but comfortable to hold. I like that it has a Usb-c port at the top and bottom. Took me a bit to optimize, even upgraded the SSD my self. If you’re looking for a portable handheld PC this is it!

I like the screen size on the Legion Go vs the ROG Ally. It’s definitely one of the big reasons to choose this over the ASUS. It is definitely a bit heavier than the Ally, but the kick stand is very handy and having a charging/data port on both top and bottom is a plus as well. Battery life is not great, especially when trying to run in higher performance for gaming. I would recommend one of the Anker battery banks capable of charging at greater than 65 watts if a lot of your usage is away from an outlet.

Love the 8' screen size. Preferred the Legion Go over the other handhelds for this reason only. Still a beast and can run the bigger games at a decent framerate. Great if you're a casual gamer who likes to game every other day in bed after a long day at work

If you buy this device, know what it is and isn't. The device is tremendously powerful for its size. It is not, however, going to be as fast as an expensive modern desktop with discrete graphics card. I was looking for a device that would meet my specific needs, and this does so with flying colors. 1. I wanted something I could play on in the living room, but not tie up the tv. 2. I wanted a large screen because I'm trying to avoid having to wear reading glasses as long as I can. 3. I wanted something that could play games from multiple stores without a lot of mucking about. 4. Wanted something that can handle emulation. 5. Wanted something with controllers that fit my big hands well. All of those needs were met with this device. I did not care all that much about battery life as most of the time I'm somewhere with power. If you're hoping for hours and hours of battery life, you're going to be disapointed. I did not care about internal speaker quality, if I want sound, I'm wearing my headphones anyway. I was impressed with how well the device works with a docking station to be a reasonable little workstation. It's basically replacing most of my need for a laptop. It plays every game I've wanted it to so far. I'm not expecting 120 FPS at max settings in 4k for brand new AAA titles. I grew up with low frame rates and low resolutions, Most games I've tried I've found options to get stutter free playing with reasonable detail and frame rates. I'm looking forward to more accessories being available, and I really hope someone comes up with a good keyboard solution designed specifically for the device. I'd also love to see other controller options that fit the rails. Neither of those things are deal breakers if they don't eventually happen. Overall I love this device, it's limitations aren't a problem for how I want to use it at all.
