Setting up the device is a breeze, and I'm genuinely blown away by the Go's performance. It breezes through games that even my gaming laptop stumbles with, delivering silky-smooth gameplay ranging from 60 to 140 fps. Plus, as someone who's always on the go for work, this device is a lifesaver! I can squeeze out about an hour and a half on max settings unplugged, and up to three hours when I dial them down. So, if you're in the market for a powerful yet portable Windows device, this one's a winner in my book. Ps. There are also many youtube videos on it for guidance which is also nice.

All I can say that it’s amazing, it does have a few fails but that could just be me. The speakers are not good at all and it can be heavy but overall I love it and my husband does too! Having the big screen makes it so worth it!

The Legion go offers great performance and versatility for a handheld PC. The Switch-like controllers and great stand on the back make for a solid tabletop performer as well. The Xbox app along with Steam or any other launcher you choose will work well on it. The screen is huge and is only bested by the Steam deck OLED quality wise. The battery life isnt great, but the steam deck is the only handheld PC ive tried that has decent battery life. If you plan to use the Legion Go on the go hopefully you have an outlet nearby.

A fantastic handheld gaming pc. I’ve had just about every recent “mainstream” handheld since the steamdeck. And the Legion go is by far my favorite. It tick every button I could want. Track pad, 2 usb ports, huge screen, detachable controllers, easy maintenance with an easily removable back, comes with case. As far as cons go. It’s heavy No 2280 ssd. (Can be converted) That’s about it. ( for me) Battery. In my use case it has plenty. For the games and time I play away from home.

I came from the Asus ROG Ally, and let me tell you, the screen size difference is definitely a treat for the eyes. It plays games just as well as the ROG Ally does. The removable controls is definitely a place if you're feeling the need to sit back and play your games as holding this device sometimes can be a little tiring even though shockingly, its not that heavy. One annoying thing about it, like the ROG Ally, is poor battery life.

A perfect device but with flaws

Adding to my very contradicting title I feel as if this device is perfect….. for me but despite that it has its flaws that I still wanna address because let’s be honest it doesn’t matter if your looking to pick this up or the other handhelds on the market they all have their own pros and cons. First off like many have mentioned already the screen and big and beautiful colors pop and the extra real estate you get with it is a huge plus. On the flip side it lacks vrr (variable refresh rate, which helps with frame drops in games not become as noticiable if the legion go did support it) but to me this wasn’t really a deal breaker but I thought I should mention it. Also compared to the steam deck the software side of things are still much to be desired. The legion go has extra buttons on the side and back of the handheld but the software(which is called legion space) support limited key mapping for the device leaving a lot of button not being able to be used properly or at all. Of course you can find other apps to bind them but I hope that in the future you can go into the native software app and change the buttons on the fly. Besides those to cons I live everything else about the device from the detachable controllers to the kick stand, the larger battery capacity compared to other devices ,and the faster ram makes this a must have if the above pros have intrigued you, you won’t be disappointed!

This thing is amazing. I use Steam and don't really play a lot of intense games on it, just Bethesda stuff, some Castle Crashers and MTG Arena and now I'm branching out and trying other things. I have an xbox but when others are using it, it's nice to be able to grab this and find a quiet spot to play. I love that it works as a Windows tablet. I can browse online, write, listen to music, and do anything on this I can do on my laptop. Seriously, in love with this device. Worth every penny.

The Lenovo Legion Go is an impressive gaming handheld that delivers top-notch performance. Its comfortable design, powerful handheld gaming device make it a great choice for gamers. The portability, with Bluetooth connectivity adds versatility. However, some users may find its battery life a bit short for extended gaming sessions. Overall, the Legion Go offers a fantastic gaming experience and is a solid choice for gamers on the go. After setting it up and customizing it its great. Currently playing Dead Space on it.

Hi, BrandonW. Thank you for choosing Lenovo! Regarding the battery life, depending on the demand of the game you're playing, by pressing the Legion R button to launch the quick menu, you can switch to lower power mode to save battery. In the menu, under the performance tab, users can toggle thermal modes and prioritize battery life by using the default mode or creating a custom thermal mode should you not be satisfied with the 3 presets. These adjustments can also be made by going into Legion Space > Settings (Legion Space can be launched quickly by pressing the Legion L button (Legion Logo above the button). We are glad to know that your Legion Go has been amazing overall, and we appreciate your time taken to share your experience and feedback with us. Lenovo

The legion go is a perfect start to a line up especially with all the bugs getting worked out. Its abilities to be versatile and co.patible with many options. The screen shows a great pictures with all media. The legion go capabilites of self sufficient gaming is fun for beginners and has the capabilites to bring those enders back to the beginner. Now that its starting to get price breaks its a total winner. The fact that the legion go is also operational on windows 11 and powerfull enough to run AAA games at a smooth and functional level to compete makes it future proof as well, meaning you wont need to spend more cash on upgrades any time soon. The only thing not giving this 5 starts is the design of the removeable controls that tend to wanna pull out of your hands during intense gaming, but that gives room to aftermarket accessories.

    Legion Go Review

The Legion Go has got to be my favorite handhelp PC to date. I have the ROG Ally and the Steam Deck OLED as well and this device surprises me evey day. The 8.8 inch screen is beautiful and really nice when playing fps games or even playings top down RTS style games. The battery life is a huge surprise for me. My Ally only gets about an hour of gameplay when playing a AAA game and the legion go gets about 2 and a half hours in the same games. It doesnt seem like much, but it means alot when you’re deep into a COD match or even fighting a boss in elden ring. With the Legion go having detachable controlers, it really makes this device more portable than any of the other . The “Fps” mode is not anything to write home about. FPS mode really should be called RTS mode, because it really shines when playing games like DOTA or the SIMS. I only gave the legion a 4 star because the legion software is pretty bad and the update process is tedious. If you dont like to tinker, it’ll be perfect for you. I highly recommend anyone looking to get a console or as a alternative to a stationary PC.

I almsot gave it one less because for me the trueatrike controllers dig into my hand but overall this this is a beast and will play anything. I am waiting for so.e different ergonoc controllers to come out. Lenovo has been great about letting you know whats going on and with the most recent tdp update this will run over 5 hours at low load. Get about 2 hours in performance. After using this screen I just cant go back to my steamdeck.

Had my doubts with this handheld, but man did I fall in love . If you love tinkering with programs , settings, resolutions etc, this is your device . Beautiful 2k screen and especially when games can run it at 144. BUT… keep in mind those games will be very limited .. 500 nits and people say it’s not bright? I keep my go at 50 , max I’ve taken it to was 80 and I mean that’s with direct sunlight hitting me . Oh but the battery life you ask? Well your millage will vary from mine . I’m ok with 1:30-3:30 hours on battery . Get you a fast charger bam problem solved .

Fantastic handheld! I love the larger screen and detachable joycons over the other handhelds. The software works well and I play all my games smoothly. For about the same cost as the others, you get more bang for your buck. I have a Legion gaming PC also and once again Lenovo did it right.

The Lenovo Legion Go: It really is a handheld gaming computer. It's a bit bigger than a Nintendo Switch but significantly smaller than a laptop. It's got enough juice to run Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Cyber Punk 2077. It also has a storage capacity of 1tb with a Micro-Sd card slot for additional storage. One of my favorite things about it is that it's still great for all the basic computer stuff, and it's actually great for my job. I work in security and use a lot of web-based application including a camera system. And it's portable size and adaptability make it perfect for these things. I can remove the controllers and use the kickstand to watch cameras on the go or even use the on-screen keyboard or my Bluetooth keyboard to write reports while in less than convenient places, and the fact that the right controller can be used as a mouse is also awesome. I also love the fact that it comes with a carrying case. The only two downsides I've encountered so far are the fact that some games don't want to run for some reason. For instance I can't get Saints Row 2 to play (I'm sure this'll be fixed with system and driver updates though.) And it only has to plug-in ports both of which are USB-C, but this can be fixed with an adapter. So all in all I'm a huge fan of this device and genuinely believe it to be a worth while purchase.

The Lenovo Legion Go is hands down the best handheld gaming device I’ve used. It runs Windows, so I can play my entire Steam library, use Xbox Game Pass, and even do light productivity work. The display is insanely sharp and big compared to other handhelds, and the detachable controllers are super versatile. It’s basically a mini gaming laptop in your hands. Perfect for travel, deployment, or chilling at home. Highly recommend for serious gamers!

Works great as a gaming system, though battery doesn't last very long compared to console games. Docks with a standard USB to HDMI cable, and I've also used it as a laptop/tablet. I also love the ability to charge it while it's zipped up safely in the case.

I love this device, and I 100% recommend it to experienced Windows users. I would recommend anyone coming from a console get a Steam deck. The Legion Go does need a little tweaking depending on the games, but it’s really nothing I haven't experienced from my full-blown gaming PC. Being able to detach the controller is a really big addition for me, along with the mouse functionality on the left controller. The price is very intimidating, but if you find it on sale, get it immediately!

Have been playing Red Dead Redemption 2, Elden Ring, and Baldur’s Gate 3 for the past 2 weeks, and so far, this machine has not failed me. Playing at Medium-High settings with at least 30-40 fps. Setting it a Low, has been able to give me almost 60fps on all games. Storage for me is the sweetspot, but I like the fact that it gives me the option to easily add a microSD card. The only reasons I am not giving it a 5/5 stars, is the battery life and bugginess. Battery on these games runs too short, anywhere from 1.5-2 hours. I also have to put the handheld on sleep mode or turn it off for it to charge. You are able to play while connected but the stays at the same level. Bugginess of the system is not a deal breaker for me.

Absolutely love everything about this console. The controllers disconnecting am becoming the fps mode, the chips, the storage, the shortcuts, and so much more just make this console my new main (sorry ps5 and switch). Battery life is the only issue for me. I know I can tweak the setting and all and extend it but I enjoy playing on somewhat better graphics, so i just basically stay plugged in all day. Plays so many games great, the fps mode actually gives you more options than most handhelds imo bc you can set up all the extra buttons and have basically mouse and keyboard, if you can get used to the ergonomics of it. Highly recommend buying one or financing one if you are interested in something to game on. Have wanted a good gaming pc for years, and this is actually way better than any laptop or anything I have managed to try over those years.
