It’s great! I have the windows version. Updates will be needed. You will spend some time finding the perfect settings to maximize battery life and performance but you can probably find stuff online for that to help. Can handle pretty much any game but the sims games you have to adjust the graphic settings. I mainly use Xbox game pass, remote play for PlayStation.

I've owned it in one day so far and I have a very difficult time putting it down. I'm in awe. This things is an absolute mega beast. I love it and everything it has to offer. Even the gimmicky features aren't gimmicky at all. The fps mouse mode of the controller is effing genius. My only real concerns are the integrity of the controllers connected to the sides of the tablet, they appear to be metal brackets so my worry shouldn't be that much of a concern. The other is, memory. 32 should really be default memory size, it's manageable with some tricks and built in Microsoft features but I really wish it could be upgradable instead of soldered on (I obviously understand why it's soldered and why it's 16 but still). Also, I hope the next version runs with OLED and has support for HDR and VRR So far the device runs smooth at all games I've put on her and throttling seems to be at a minimum. The applications for this thing are endless, it's a mini computer but so much more than that. The built in stand alone is awesome and sturdy. 2 USB-C ports is a no brainer and this thing has delivered on every (almost every) front. Glad I bought this and not the steamdeck! -yeshman

It is heating a little bit fast but still good with that price and easy to use with comfort. Especially if you are mobile and don't wanna move big laptop with you it is pretty good for both playing games and also work. Much better than a tablet.

Get a good case as its heavy but great screen for handheld, z1e is good for what it is but does really struggle in current gen titles without a lot of tinkering but worth it if willing to use bazzite/ tdp oc to 40w to get additional performace.

I have both. Legion Go looks better with the larger screen and since its Windows i can run all my programs on it. Its fast, handle’s everything I have played so far. Battery life is ok for what it is. If you’re playing at home, I would plug it in. Speakers are ok but not great. Could be louder. But for what its worth, I still rate it a 5/5. I bought this on special for 699 normally 749 for the 1TB.

    * Amazing Display (you may have to do some software tweaking on some games to show up properly) * Steam Deck is still the comfort King in handhelds (the shape of the bottom edges of the Legion Go can "dig" into the palms of your hands if you hold too tightly.) * Speakers aren't the best (you need to go into Realtek Audio to make the equalizer setting adjustments. * Controllers feel a bit cheap and hollow when detached * Battery life is a touch better when playing demanding games * Windows 11 is Windows 11 (good and bad) * MicroSD card reader works! * Fan noise can bother some people * Cooling is very good * Easily upgradeable SSD * Button placement of start/pause is just plain stupid * Not as heavy as I imagined (Deck inside Killswitch case "feels" heavier) * FPS Mode is just too complicated and gimmicky to me * Great value (Lenovo packed it well with nice case and SSD) Overall, it's a solid gaming Windows handheld that truly immerses you with it's gorgeous 8.8" display. I am glad Lenovo seems to support this brand new device with software updates so that's a good sign and just remember that this is NOT a video game console (it's a true Windows 11 PC) that you must have some general knowledge to make it play properly.

You don't have to worry about any negatives you've read. I was on the fence and so glad I purchased this. This unit blows the doors off of the ROG Ally. I had a ROG Ally for about a week. It would turn on only if you held down the power while holding the volume key - and only sometimes. Other times it just wouldn't power on at all. Now, on to the Legion Go. This thing exudes quality. The kickstand and over-all build quality impress me. The giant screen is gorgeous and the colors just pop! I was wondering what case to pickup for this but to my pleasant surprise, it includes a case! A very nice zippered medium shell case. I won't need a better one. Gaming on this has been great so far and I expect it to get even better as I learn this little guy. It does come with 3 months of Xbox Game Pass and Best Buy gives you 1 month so 4 months total to check it out completely. I personally love that this is a Windows device as I can use it to play movies and not worry if my player has the right codec installed. On Windows, they all play. Browsing to my NAS or quickly banging out a design in PhotoShop is all effortless for this unit. So far the micro SD card is fine. Not hot after one battery charge cycle. The setup is typical and you should reserve about an hour to get it all downloaded so your Windows 11 is current. The weight, I don't notice it at all and I thought that I really would from the initial reviews. It's light enough to play for a couple hours with no fatigue so far. It's an exciting time for gamers for sure!

Was waiting for something like this and Lenovo definitely delivered. Having the controllers be removable is great and lets you run it like a tablet. The Bluetooth and full windows lets you run just about anything and use your preferred controller. Would have loved to have a oled 1080p display instead but it's got a high res for older games to run smooth and the 144hz is great for that. Won't hit that on newer titles but with some settings on medium to low at 1080p I manage to get a solid 60fps in performance mode. Highly recommend to anyone that doesn't want to carry around a gaming laptop or has limited time for play and wants to clear out old games or new. I also recommend going with the 512gb storage and upgrading to a 2tb for all your games. You can use a micro SD for media.

The Legion GO is definitely the best handheld I have ever used and runs games better than a PS4 in handheld form. But the battery life is atrocious. This is understandable as such a powerful chip and small form factor means a small battery that is burned through quickly. If you can get past the bad battery life the legion go is what you want for the best gaming PC handheld experience.

Regarding the battery life, depending on the demand of the game you're playing, by pressing the Legion R button to launch the quick menu, you can switch to lower power mode to save battery. In the menu, under the performance tab, users can toggle thermal modes and prioritize battery life by using the default mode or creating a custom thermal mode should you not be satisfied with the 3 presets. These adjustments can also be made by going into Legion Space > Settings (Legion Space can be launched quickly by pressing the Legion L button (Legion Logo above the button).

The screen size is the biggest reason i went for this one but I kept it because it was easy to install the emulator for other games i wanted and the system is powerful. The controllers being detachable is also a plus. My only cons for this is the battery life, it’s terrible but i bought a powerbank from amazon and that works for me. Definitely recommend if your looking for a handheld pc game.

OLED level screen. I was avoiding it because it was LCD, but that was a mistake. I should have bought it a year ago. Screen looks as good as my s23 ultra screen. Z1 extreme can handle most games at good frames. Handles all emulators including ps3 well. Screen size is immersive. I play at home and at lunch breaks at work. Battery only downside. I play plugged in at home and use a 12 volt ac converter in car to play at lunch time at work. Looking forward to buying the Legion Go 2.

The Lenovo Legion Go impresses with its powerful performance, delivering around 70fps in Fortnite and showcasing versatility as a drone pilot's choice for FPV simulation. However, the drawback lies in its limited battery life, making it less ideal for extended usage without a power source. Nonetheless, its compact design retains the appeal of a portable gaming solution with the capabilities of a PC.

I’ve only been using it for a short while, so my review may change eventually, but so far I am really enjoying it! If I had to pick anything that I don’t like about this handheld PC, is that the battery life is not amazing. I have been getting 2-3 hours of continuous gameplay, depending on the game. For the price of this product, I would expect at least 4-6 hours of gameplay. Besides the battery, I am loving everything else! I will say, if you’re looking to use this for playing games from Steam, I would recommend just buying the Steam Deck instead. I’m seeing some issues with trying to play Steam Deck games on the Lenovo, where the controls don’t work the same, but you’d think they should work the same?? Not the end of the world, but is a bit frustrating!

I love this thing. Having access to all my games on steam, epic, Xbox, ea, and emulation? What more could you ask, except battery life. Unfortunately if you want the best performance and frames, it’ll cost you heavily on battery life. But I find myself next to a power source everywhere I play, so I haven’t found the battery life to be an issue. Screen is big and beautiful, love the fully customizable settings. Excellent choice if you have the spare money.

I honestly probably would have kept this if I didn't need the money back. That was my ONLY reason for returning. This thing played SO many games and I was shocked. You do have to mess around with the settings so you have to be good at tinkering but I feel like the only people looking at these like to tinker. Hooked up KBM just fine and played games with it. GREAT for office work too thanks to the big screen that looks sooo good!
