Aside from that, this handheld is a beast. I had a ROG but had so many issues I decided to give the Legion a shot. Totally worth it.

However, the one problem I did have was more of an annoyance. Windows constantly sends popups for updates that need my attention at all times. Having used both the Steam OS and this Windows OS versions I can say this unit is more user friendly even with the annoying system notifications. You will want to dig a little deeper in the settings to disable some of the background apps from running. Overall I say this is a good handheld unit to play the latest games. But it is overpriced at the moment when compared to the latest chip set handhelds released. Catch it on sale to make it a great unit.

It came to 809! This thing is amazing. I love the dual ports on top to charge and use my viture pro glasses simultaneously. After bumping up the vram it runs really well at 1200p. For example I'm playing first bezerk kazaan at around 60 fps in 1200 @ 120hz. Windows is clunky at times but worth it to play xbox games on this device. Geforce now is a nice option to play at higher performance settings while saving your battery. It makes a big difference, but requires a very strong wifi connection to stream without issues.

The games run perfectly fine for me on this too, the latest game I played on it was Battlefield 6 and it ran without any lag or stutter. Anybody who likes comfy gaming should get one of these. Added plus side, the SSD is pretty easy to replace if you want something bigger and have a dual-boot setup with steam os.

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Legion Space, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and power regulation leading to enhanced battery life. To check for updates within Legion Space begin by launching the application, then click "Disks and Drivers" located at the bottom of the display, then select "Check for Updates".
The Legion Go S can also adjust the active performance profile and fan speed of the device based on your needs. To start press the hexagonal options key located on the right controller, then select the performance tab represented by the gauge symbol, from here you can adjust the performance mode based off your needs. We recommend Quiet Mode which will increase battery life. You can also toggle this function by using holding down the hexagonal Steam key located on the left controller and tapping the Y button.

Unlike the steamOS version, which in my opinion had a better color option, but lacked the ability to play triple AAA titles like COD, Battlefield in GTA online. These titles were blocked from playing on steam OS due to anti-cheat software that is not compatible with steamOS natively. There was an option to update the system to Windows, but will cause just as much as the Windows device by purchasing window software and purchasing the product key. And not to mention the hundred dollar install fee that Best Buy charges to do it or if your tax savvy, you can do it yourself.

Good hardware spec and able to deliver good performance for an okay games. Don't expect AAA to run perfect on this machine. But again if you need something solid handheld and a replacement for your steam deck, I would definitely recommend this

Great device but expensive

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It performs a lot better than the original Legion Go, it is very expensive though, and the adjustable triggers, maybe I'm using them wrong, when I switch them to hairpin i guess you'd say, they dont do anything, but they won't stay like right in the middle, also the bottom bezel is for some reason larger than all other sides, but the screen is close to that of OLED, I think it would be perfect for about $150 less.

Regarding the triggers, when switching them from a full depress to half stop, this shouldn't change the position of the triggers, but rather affect how far the trigger needs to be depressed to activate the button.
