Trash just wait for the legion go 2

I do admit that the design is cool and all but still the performance in just trash. Just from login I had to wait three entire days just to even login into windows 11. Not as slow as the Z1, but the Z2 is still slow and I compare this to my ROG ALLY one extreme in my opinion it was even faster and better than this. Like I mean, way way faster. I tested out games on both and the performance on Fortnite on this device sucked. It only got around 60 FPS when I put Fortnite on all low settings. But when I put it mid and high settings on Fortnite, it got around to 30 to 20 FPS. What would the rog ally at max settings on Fortnite it got around 60 FPS. Economics are good, but besides that this device sucks and feels cheap would not recommend even if you were a beginner in PC gaming.

Huge potential but horrific performance

First, let me say this device feels great, controls are great, screen is amazing, ergonomics feel spot on, but then there is the performance .
This new device from Lenova had so much potential. Rather than making a legion go 2 with a AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme Processor, they decided to use this greatly underpowered Chip. Horrible performance many games won’t run, returning this to get the Rog Ally X.
Save yourself hours of troubleshooting and going through window set up and avoid this at all cost.

Not worth it

I had high hopes for the Lenovo Legion Go S, but it has been a massive disappointment. The battery life is abysmal, even by handheld gaming standards. For demanding games, I barely get 1.5 hours of playtime, and even with lighter titles or reduced settings, it struggles to reach 3 hours. This is unacceptable for a device marketed as portable—you’ll spend more time tethered to an outlet than actually gaming.
Performance is equally underwhelming. The AMD Ryzen Z2 Go chipset feels outdated and underpowered, especially compared to similarly priced competitors like the ROG Ally. Games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Cyberpunk 2077 run poorly, with frame rates dipping into unplayable territory at higher settings. Even less demanding games require significant compromises to achieve smooth gameplay.
$749 cost too much for what you get. The Legion Go S looks great and feels comfortable in hand, but what’s the point if it can’t deliver where it matters most: battery life and performance? Save your money and look elsewhere—this device simply doesn’t live up to its promises.

Very underpowered for the price

When you are so close to the Ally X in price, it just makes way more sense to purchase that. Most games will not work on this corectly, and the build feels cheap. This should be priced much lower and I am not sure what Lenovo was thinking.

Extremely under powered and over priced for what it is. The extra memory useless given the fact the processor is not good enough to run any games that would use the extra ram. Overall there are better options including the original legion go

$729 is too expensive for the Z2GO chip

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
At $729 the value isn't there relative to the competition due to the slower chip. They should kept it at the sale price in the $500 range.
