This is a LEGO game that plays pretty much like the others aside from some interactions with the physical portal (moving characters around for puzzles or swapping them.) Graphics are good and the story is pretty fun. The level packs are a bit pricey so wait for a sale if you can. You get a decent amount of content with the starter pack, though you may tire of the three main characters.

Yeah, this is one of those toys-to-life games, so the starter set will only let you access so much of the game while constantly reminding you of all the fun you could be having if you bought all the sets. But if you can ignore all that, the starter set is a ton of fun, and it's really cool to actually get to build the characters and portal you mess around with in game.

I have a love for LEGOs and what lego did with the game makes it even better! The game pieces makes use of it as a NFC-like feature, and actual lego toys! if you like previous lego games, you'll definitely love this!

I Love being a contractor. All the nailing, hammering, lifting, moving, pouring, painting (well I hate to paint actually so ignore that), is awesome. Have you ever tried to use mortar with a lego brick though? I don't recommend that. The good thing is that this set does not require mortar. Just standard Lego skills of dropping and hunting for that small black piece that fell into the black carpet. This set is much more than just a regular lego set though. It has gamez. These gamez are killer. Lots of fun for the whole family unless you spend more time looking for that missing piece. Construct many great gamez my friends.

I was intrigued when this game was announced. I really didn't want to buy hundreds of dollars in figures just to get all the worlds/character abilities to do all the things in the game, yet that's what I just did. The story is dumb, but the way it's told is very fun. All the character interactions from the various worlds are top notch. The voice acting is amazing. They really put quality in this game.

All the entertainment of watching your favorite characters come to life mixed with the joy of building and playing with Legos. Gameplay will be familiar for anyone who's played Travelers Tales' Legos games before, good family fun with 2 player local split screen. The story is interesting, but mostly an excuse to run around in the worlds of all your favorite characters, rendered in exacting detail. You can compete the game and earn the Platinum with just the core set, but it's easy to catch the Building-Bug and find yourself buying characters from many franchises.

This game is so much fun! The levels are all exciting. If you are the least bit nerdy you will enjoy this game. Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, Back to the Future and more... what more could you want? I can't wait for more packs to come out!

This game meets expectations with this great idea. I would say it is necessary to buy more characters to get the most out of the game but you don't need to buy a lot of them.

I bought this game because my daughter has gotten very into Lego products. I thought this would be a great way to get her into gaming and it has been a success. She loves playing the game and getting to build the different Lego pieces was a lot of fun for the both of us. My daughter might not get all the references in the game, but it is a lot of fun for the two of us to sit together and play.

Very entertaining. Give child something additional to do besides just push buttons on the remote.

A lot a fun for my 7 year old and myself. Can't wait for the Ghostbusters sets to arrive!

If you are a lego game fan and a lego fan, the game and toys are excellent, and it is one of the best lego video games in general. Largest downside is amount of purchases required to access all areas (need at least one character from each world), and amount of additional purchases to complete each task.
