This is a Traveler's Tale Lego game. At the core it is just like Star Wars or Marvel or Batman Lego games. The main difference, aside from the fusion of worlds and unique Lego series is the way you get new characters. In previous games you unlock through gameplay and purchase via in game currency to get new characters and their abilities. With Dimensions you have to buy add on sets, real Lego bricks with real money. It is possible to get through the core game with a minimum of characters, but to cover all the abilities is quite an investment. The game is fun, and seeing a lot of these worlds as Lego for the first time is great, but there is a significant cost to this model.

This is for 12 and up ages. I'm 38 and I still get stuck in places so play with your kids so they don't get mad

So glad I bought this. It is so much fun. A Lego game that reminds me how good these games can be if done right.

This is a great game for both kids and parents. The puzzles and challenges are appropriate for the younger kids and the adult humor keeps the parents interested. Everyone will enjoy the mix of characters. For example, the Wicked Witch and Batman can team-up to save Springfield. Highly recommended. As a parent, I prefer this game over Skylanders and Disney Infinity.

IF you are a lego Fan this is a must have. You play and interact with legos while playing the story mode.

This game is seriously addicting but there's parts you can't even get to without purchasing added content.

LEGO Dimensions starter set is fun, I purchased it for PS4. It's the most expensive video game I ever purchased, was it worth the money? Yes and no. Yes because its good LEGO video game fun and it's cool to interact with all the different themes. No because playing it feels like other LEGO video games for the most part. The main difference is the pad with the character and vehicle discs. First few times moving characters was fun but it did get tedious after a while. Plus have to make sure the pad is nearby or you will have to get up at the worst time to move a character. Overall, it is a fun game.
