This bonsai tree is a wonderful idea and an excellent reproduction. Even the box looks stylish and classy. Not really a fan of the pink frogs, though. Sure, they're cute and whimsical at first, but eventually detract from the mood of the finished set. Would've been nicer to have cherry blossoms that didn't look so hokey. I will stick with the green version, which is wonderful.

The pink version looks a little weird up close bc the petals are pink frogs, but that’s not a downside because it’s cute. Keep in mind that the Lego piece count includes the other set of leaves and the dirt, so it’s a lot smaller than you would think

The cashier mentioned that she had gotten it and thoroughly enjoyed it. She did warn that it was tedious with the pink blossoms and frogs, but I found that part the best. I like how you can change the leaves just like a true bonsai.

It’s a perfect blend of two of my favorite things, potted plants and LEGO. Perfect activity for a quiet evening with a warm drink and so enjoyable to look at afterwards. It’s great that there’s a spring option for the leaves, which I’m saving until Cherry Blossom season, so it’s almost like having two builds in one kit!
