It seems to be very specific and will skip gears if the improper chain links are used but besides that, its extremely fun to build and the functions are insane. If you get the chan links right, the whole set works seamlessly

She even helped build the thing! Super fun to do but you need to be exact in building it to get the counter weight balanced just right!

Lucky to find this set at Best Buy!

Looked for this set extensivily, but it was sold out at Lego stores, Lego.com, and big box retailers. A random Google search brought me to a listing for a Best Buy out of my area. Drove to pick it up. I will now think of Best Buy as a location for Lego not just electronics!
