    Fun game with the kids

    |
    Posted .

A solid entry into the large lego game franchise - this game starts on the Battle of Endor and adds some other areas to stretch out the gameplay, but it's visually impressive, runs smoothly, and works with 2 player co-op. The death star trench run and tie fighter battle over Jaku look great and are quite fun. Some of the puzzles are a bit weird or unclear, but you'll figure them out with a little practice. Soon you will be thinking the way the makers of the game think and it will become a nice diversion. Like the other lego games, this is kid friendly since there isn't really a way to "die" or lose a level. You may get defeated and lose some lego pieces, but that's it. A great way to work with a younger player to introduce them to co-op play. There is a lot of unlockables - new characters and vehicles. Replay an old level with new characters to discover more secrets (for example, only Luke can pull droids buried in the sand on Jaku). All the the cutscenes put their own lego twist on famous Star Wars scenes. Heads pop off, body parts get switched, and almost everything is made g-rated in a funny way.

May be the Best of the LEGO games

I'm loving this game so far! They did a great job of following the story from the Force Awakens, while also filling in some of the back story with side missions. The Hub worlds are big with lots of stuff to do. I've played through every story mission and a few of the free play missions, and I'm still only at 47% completion! This game is huge! My only (minor) complaint is that the voices are really hard to hear throughout the game. The music and sound effects tend to drown out the voices, and there's no sound mixer in the options menu. So far, this is probably my favorite LEGO game so far!

Almost as fun as real Legos.

This is my first Legos game I've ever played and it's so much fun that I'm now looking at previous Lego titles to play as well. The game has tons of comedy and many moments that will make you laugh out loud. It's a perfect game to play co-op with a friend or a loved one. It's got tons of replay value if you are one of those people that like to find every secret and are a completionist. Oh and one last thing, it's star wars. How can you go wrong with star wars ?(not counting episode 1/2/3) So if you like light hearted gameplay with some comedy, lots of hidden secrets and replayability and basically wanted to actually play and be a part of the star wars universe then pick this up. Warning, if you haven't seen the actual Star Wars episode 7 movie then this game will spoil some of the movie for you. But come on, who hasn't seen episode 7 yet?

    Fun, but Endor again?

We enjoy the Lego games and the kids especially like anything Star Wars. It was more than a little surprising and frankly disappointing to start chapter one only to find ourselves replaying the Battle for Endor. Even our 4 year old called you out on this one. Yes, the game play was a bit different but if we want to play Return of the Jedi, well, we already own that. The rest of the game was fun and we like all of the new characters and that there are choices of what/where to build when presented with "broken" Legos. It makes the game more challenging and the kids have fun trying to figure out which item to build first. As for issues: 1. It took us a while to realize that there is no "store" for buying red bricks, this is done in the character menu. 2. When flying we find the ships more difficult to handle than in previous versions. It's bad enough that we find ourselves avoiding flying missions in replay/freeplay whenever possible. 3. Did I mention Endor? Please don't recycle old stories as filler in new games. It cost you one star (nearly two) and will have us thinking twice before buying the next game.

    Good Lego game

I just finished this game to 100%. It is a good Lego game and it was fun unlocking all of the characters, especially the legacy ones. The game froze on me a handful of times (minus a star), so it can be a little glitchy. Otherwise, it is a fun Lego game.

    This Looks Awesome

My review is only based on what I see during my girlfriend's gameplay. The graphics are really good, looks like something I'll pick up to play as well (after she stops hogging it). The scenes are cool and the controls seem less confusing then what I've seen her play for Lego Avengers. This is good quality entertainment for the girlfriend while you go play your PC master race games without interruption.

    BestBuy to the rescue

BB has done it again, my son was playing the free version on his ipad and got the point where he was needing to pay to play more. No way was I going to do that :) I looked up the game as norrmal on Amazon to see how much, then checked BB to see what the price was as 2 day is never as good as NOW!! There it was, in stock at my local BB and cheaper than Amazon. I reserved it and went and picked it up. 30 minutes later I had a happy child. Great fun game as always. Lego always knocks it out the park with these fun games.

Fun, Fun, and more fun! Great Coop Too

If you love playing coop, just get this game right now, its really fun. i'm sure its fun as a single player game, but i only played the couch coop setup. And msn is it fun. the graphics are amazing, its clear they used super high resolution textures, which is weird in a lego game. but frankly it looked so cool. i loved the improvements on graphics, gameplay and split screen. they seem to improve that split screen a little bit more each time. The First person view was simple and fun, you could stay in 1 spot and just zoom in first person view, or run around. You also get to ride in big chicken walker robots together in coop, thats so fun.

Lego game in the Star Wars universe!

    |
    Posted .

I have always been a big fan of the Lego games and this Star Wars version given the most recent Force Awakes movie was a lot of fun. Adding the season pass really extended the playability of the game as additional levels were added over time. If you like Lego games and are a Star Wars fan, this game is a must own.

A Blast to Play with Two People

    |
    Posted .

My girlfriend and I are quite the Star Wars junkies, so buying this game was a no-brainer. Having played a couple other Lego games I knew going in how the game would play. We both had a lot of fun playing through the story missions and trying to get True Jedi on each of them. There is a lot to collect and finishing the game opens up a universe of selections to go and explore, including new story missions which were not part of the main story line.

Fun, but at times overly tricky

    |
    Posted .

If you've played the previous games, you know what this is going to be like. It's fun, it's quirky, it adds some humor to the story from the movie. One downside is that a few of the levels are not at all intuitive, and I had to resort to YouTube walkthroughs to figure out overly complex tasks. Another is that the save points are few and far between, so if you start a long level, you'd better be prepared to finish it before leaving the game. That being said, there is a lot to this game, so you won't find yourself done and bored after a few hours. It's designed to be played through at least twice, so it's a good value for the money.

    Lego Xbox game for kids

We picked up the Xbox one game Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens for our 7 year old. He loves it. Tries to play it everyday but he does have a limit. It is perfect if you want a game with not as much violence as many others.

Great for Kids of Different Ages

I have 2 teen boys (15 and 17) who like to play video games but usually don't play with their younger brother because the games they play are not age appropriate for him. They actually all enjoy playing this together. My kids are all star wars fans and then love Legos...they like this game playing it together and helping each other out.
