Excellent steelbook. Probably one of the best ideas. The carbonite portion is raised with smooth texture. Would have been better if it used the whole of the surface and had the interface pad but can't complain about a free with purchase item. Only real complaint is that they didn't use any clear plastic cause shiny black shows any scratches from shipping.

This was a great pre order bonus, am glad I was able to secure one. I think any Star Wars fan would enjoy this. It had some minor surface marks, and doesn't feel as deluxe as I thought it Would but lols great on my shelf.

Very cool steelbook, came with my deluxe purchase only if I bought it from Best Buy. It got a picture of Han Solo in carbonite that pops out of the case a little, it's really neat!

Both good and bad for this. I actually got a damaged one, returned it and got a second one that I picked up from the store. The second one is also damaged though. There’s a deep scratch on the spine, and the back has scuff marks/scratches. At this point I’m not going to return it again though, since I don’t really trust that the next one would be much better. I really don’t understand why Best Buy doesn’t wrap these steel books in at least some sort plastic or protective cover. Both times I got them, they were exposed and damaged. And the second was store pickup so it definitely wasn’t damage from having it delivered. Also, they put stickers directly on it and they’re difficult to remove without leaving any marks. On a positive note, I do like the look of this steel book, it’s interesting. But I seriously doubt I would do another Best Buy preorder, just because I don’t have faith that the bonus will be worth it.

Only reason I bought the game through best buy was for the steel book. Shipped separately from the game itself and arrived before it, which is strange. When I opened the package there was no plastic seal on the case itself, instead it had a barcode sticker on the back of it kind of ruining the point of this decorative case. On top of that there is an inch long scratch on the front of my case, and the case doesnt quite shut right, almost like the front and back are misaligned.

Best Buy's packaging/shipping is terrible! I'll never preorder an item through this place again. I had two more items on preorder that I canceled after receiving this. I waited years for this game to come out to collect this steelbook and when it arrived it came in damaged. Scratches over the front. Two dents in the back. Of one the dents is so bad it caved in the spine of it. I called support the day I got it, but all I was told was "you can return it to your nearest store." "Since it's an exclusive item we may not have anymore." Well that helps me out a lot. I don't who they have shipping their items out, but those people are costing them money.

Chose pickup because I heard shipping was bad with scratches. Picked it up and there were scratches and a barcode sticker that didn’t come off well. At least it was free.

My steelbook came with a barcode sticker directly on the case itself. The sticker obviously did not come off clean and the case has several noticeable dents in it right out of the box.

Arrived dented and scratched in a bubble pack mailer instead of a boz.

I got the game for Nintendo switch OLED and got the game so i thought the case would be to hold the game... the Nintendo switch game is not a CD so disappointing also there scratches and finger prints all over the case.

For those who qualified to get this case here is some helpful info: 1. Not all steelbooks come shrinkwrapped, in the case of this one, they aren't shinkwrapped. 2. There are reports of these shipping with bar code stickers. They should not sticker an item that is not shrinkrapped as the sticker can cause damage, as some are experiencing. The best way to remove these stickers without damaging the case is to heat up the sticker, with a heat gun or hold under a lamp. Don't have it too close or too hot, you just want to heat/warm it up enough so the adhesive material on the back of the sticker looses up and then you can peel off the sticker SLOWLY. Any residue left over Goo Gone should work to remove any of it. 3. Packaging needs improvement when these ship out, yes everyone agrees on that. The people who pack these don't understand that these are a collectible to many. If you log into your Best Buy account and go to "Orders" see if yours has shipped out, if it hasn't, you may have the ability to change yours for local store pick-up as most stores are getting some inventory in this weekend (April 9th) based on what the site says and when they ship to the stores they generally come in with regular stock on their delivery trucks and are in better condition. Just some helpful tips, hope this all helps everyone.

I think that the other people that bought this got unlucky with their cases because it did not have the most packaging to prevent scratches but mine came out fine.

The front of the case looks great but I have a two complaints on the back (they are less about the case itself and more how it was handled before I received it). For whatever reason, the case did not come in a plastic wrap. This wasn't a big deal to me until I saw they had put the UPC sticker directly onto the steel book. Now I either get to see a UPC sticker on the case everytime I turn it around or I have to look at glue smudges that are extremely difficult to get rid of (if I peal the sticker off). In addition, there were several scuff marks on one of the corners of the back. I just feel like this could have been packaged a lot better. I can live with the scuff marks depending on the steel book but the UPC sticker leaves that permanent peeled glue look on the bottom corner of the case.

I did not purchase this for the case. Rather, it came as part of a bundle that included character packs for the game. Those character packs were worth the purchase. If not for the add-on code that came with the case, I am not sure I would see the value in purchasing an extra SteelBook case as the game comes with a traditional plastic case for holding the CD (which works just fine for me).

Like it. So due to that, I rate it highly But they way it was shipped was HORRIBLE, and is only worth a half star. It was just placed in a box and the only shipping protection was a few large shipping bubbles. No, shrink wrap, cardboard... nothing to protect the surface of the Steelbook. So during shipping, the case slid around the inside of the box and got all scratched up. It was free and still better than the traditional case, but c'mon...that doesn't mean they should've just thrown it in a box without protection. Very lazy.

If you like, or LOVE, Lego games, this is a must buy! They really put love into this game, and it shows! HUGE amount of exploration across all 9 movies, massive amount of characters and stuff to unlock, full VO (with the option to revert back to mumbling!), first person view when aiming down sights with a projectile weapon, and the combat rework makes it a lot more fun. Hard to put down, and a great game for kids and adults (Star Wars fans or not) to play solo or together. Get it, it is worth every penny!

Case arrived on time. The case was in good condition, but the bottom portion where the case snaps is faulty due to bad packaging... there was no packaging. There was just the SteelBook case by itself in a box, NO protection. The case, itself, is really cool, but the lack of packing protection made me give 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

I thought it was a fun little bonus to getting a game that I already wanted. When I picked it up it was covered in fingerprints and looked kind of dingy but with a little elbow grease, came out just like new. No major flaws with the case itself besides some denting on the edges (which is inevitable because it is made of metal). The outside is cool but I think the inside is my favorite part. Absolutely beautiful image.

The steelbook is a classic moment in Star Wars that is just an obvious choice. However, the game is beautiful and fun, although, it feels not as extensive as the original. Granted they needed to add another 3 movies with big overworlds to explore.
