Look at this “thing” closely before buying!

Only that power is needed at a television that is wall mounted. Well the thing is huge about 6 x8 inches that a hole that big needs to be cut into the wall. Then because there are fire blocks between the studs a hole at lest 4 inches needs to be drilled to get the lower connector to the bottom. Local electrical codes do not allow any wiring loose in the wall that is not romex. Thick insulated wires. Whole thing was to be a nightmare so we sent this item back for credit.

The top portion comes with a template, while the bottom doesn't. I traced the inside of the cutout on the mud ring and adjusted the cutting as needed. Be careful of where you mount the fixture to the mud ring. The screws go into the horizontal slots, not the hole with the threaded nuts. I didn't pay close enough attention here and had to pull the nut out to get it off the mounting screw (duh). I glued it back in and no worries since.
