delay with keyboard

Posted .There should be no delay with this system when typing in the program Word, since it comes with Word preloaded. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

He isn't the most tech-savvy person but this laptop is simple and the right medium size for his simple computer needs. He didn't need all the additional things like a touch screen, apps, etc. He is very happy with it.

Ok for internet but that's it

It's so small you can even do an update without using a USB drive. It's ok for just surfing the internet but the processor and memory are under powered so it's slow.

Laptop best suited for cloud users

I knew the limited harddrive size could be a problem after I loaded virus protection and MS office on, but didn't realize how much trouble it would be. I did add additional harddrive space, but continued having problems with the on board 32gb, so I had to return.

I needed a device that my son could complete his on-line homework on, but I didn't want to spend a bunch of money. After all, I had taken his $1000 desktop gaming computer's power cord because he hadn't completed assignments - choosing to play games instead. I had also confiscated his phone and iPod. I went to the store thinking I would pick up an inexpensive tablet. When I arrived, I swung through the computer area and happened upon this gem. It's basic, has Office, and was right at $100 (on sale) - better than a tablet. I used some Rewards money and was out the door with a solution for under $100. My son was able to complete his assignments without me relinquishing any of the confiscated items. He had no complaints about the operation of it. He earned a B in his math course because he got the work in. Everybody is happy. The bottom line is this laptop is nothing amazing, but for what most people use their laptops for, it's perfect - inexpensive and pre-loaded with your basic programs.
