Bad WiFi Component
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer quit recognizing the wifi card. Only fix is to replace motherboard which is about the cost of the whole machine. Doing some searching online, apparently this is a common problem.

Don't expect to type nsturally
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The functionality of the laptop appears to be fine but the keyboard is not naturally designed to standard finger placement. You will hit a 100 wrong keys as a result. Truly disappointed.

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Just Awful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't work right. Very cheaply made. It has a DVD drive that I personally can't open although other people can. I would certainly never buy anything from Lenovo again.

Returned within 24 hours, garbage technology.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A complete disappointment. Returned product within 24 hours due to hardware issues and a lack of the proper network security card to connect to basic wifi. Total garbage. Spend more money!

Posted .This device comes with the latest WiFi technology, 802.11AC WiFi. It includes the necessary software for connecting to both AC as well as b/g/n frequencies. There may be Wireless LAN driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:

For the price (on sale), you can't go wrong
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On black friday this laptop was onlt $180. I prefer to type so I was happy it does not have a touch screen. The minute i got home I put in my 120GB SSD and took out the 500GB rotational HD. Disassembly was easy but be careful: all the components are attached to the top case. My linux install went well. Fedora runs pretty well, and all the drivers were there for wireless support. 4GB of RAM is a weak point here, but this laptop has a standard SODIMM slot for upgrading (occupied by the 4GB DIMM. The interesting thing is linux reports 2 ram slots, and a max supported RAM dictated by the motherboard to be 32GB (!). I'll look around for the other slot when I upgrade, but I doubt it actually exists. Overall I can't speak to windows performance, but the performance overall is adequate, and with 8GB RAM I think this notebook would be pretty decent. I have my 8GB stick on order. Battery life is pretty good. I can get about 4 hours out of it with web browsing usage, probably more if I dimmed the screen. If you can get this laptop for under $200, so it!

Excellent buy at under $200
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is too slow for a gaming machine but it is excellent for e-mail, web surfing, business use and photo editing. However, if solitaire is your game there is no problem. Nice big screen for my old eyes and a separate numeric keyboard is a plus as well as the cd/dvd drive. The only negative I have found is the keyboard layout - I have inadvertently hit the enter key when reaching for the shift key.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. Be sure any software you installed on the device are compatible with Windows 10. You will need to restore this device back to original factory settings. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the HDMI port on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.
