    My parents needed a pretty basic computer for a good price. Got a great deal on this as an open box item and they could not be happier that they can once again watch Netflix on their TV and this one has a lot of features their many years old one did not. Not anything special, but it makes them happy and that is what is important!

    I bought this to replace an old laptop that the dvd drive quit working that I used to watch movies when I travel. It worked great and contrary to what other reviews say it is quiet fast. It was a little heavy for travel so I bought one of the smaller lighter 14" laptops for travel and replace my ancient desktop with this one.

    This laptop is great for simple home use. The keyboard has a 10 key pad making it wide. And the shift key is in a weird location. Other than that, it is fine.

You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. lenovo

    This is literally an oversized Chromebook, in both processing power and battery life. It is woefully underpowered for simple start-up. (maybe on Linux or WindowsXP it would be tolerable) It's battery life is abyssmal at nearly 30min for light usage. It is also quite heavy at 4 lbs. And after only one day of usage, it gets hot as well. It is too heavy, too weak, too hot for 2017 needs.

      Please note, this is not a Chromebook. This is a Windows 10 Home 64-bit system. The battery life on this model is up to 3 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. This full-sized, 15.6" laptop weighs 4.85 lbs. and measures 0.9" thin. It is normal for this system to generate heat while turned on. It has an internal fan to keep the system at normal operating temperatures. This is an entry level, light use configuration. If this describes your usage, it will be a good choice. lenovo
