I use it for writing, and research and so far so good. I also watch a lot of shows and movies, I wish the sound quality was better, because it comes in a little quiet.

A good basic computer

Between the resolution and the size of the screen, it is very enjoyable to watch DVD's or online shows. I don't like the "PgUp" key between the ? key and the Shift key. Many times I want to hit Shift and I hit "PgUp" and the cursor jumps to the line above. I have used many computers and this is the first time the key lineup is like this. However, I have never had a number pad, so maybe this is how they are configured (but then they all have a big flaw in my opinion). Everything else is as expected...a good basic computer for a low price.

You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.
