Very washed out and difficult to see. Kind of slow. Tried playing a YouTube video and it was very blurry because of the quality of the picture. It was hard to hear anything because the sound coming out of the speakers was too low. The speaker on it is very bad. I only paid $279, but you can do a lot better than this for that price.not worth it. Returned it.

Posted .This is an entry level, light use system. This device has the latest WiFi capability, with 802.11AC connectivity. If your requirements fit this profile, this device is a good choice. The screen flickering issue you mention may be a driver update issue. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. It doesn't have the typical "cheap" feel that most laptops in this price range possess. With that being said, this is a laptop that functions in line with its price. It's woefully slow...period. But a lot of its slowness can be attributed to the cumbersome and the completely out-of-touch design of Windows 10. I can't for the life of me figure out how Microsoft thought this was in any way an upgrade or improvement over any of its previous versions of Windows. In an effort to make it more user friendly, they completely over-thought it and instead made it a nightmare to use and navigate through. Because it is such a drain on resources, the Lenovo basically has an operating system that is way out of its ability to adequately handle, thus making the user's experience torturous when using any of the Office programs, Web browser, or other "high-end" software. The screen resolution is inferior to other machines in this price range. Pictures, graphics and text are fuzzy, although certainly not to the point of being unreadable. Anyone who has much experience at keyboarding will go nuts at the placement of the right "Shift" key! I have found its easier to simply use the left "Shift" key and simply adapt myself. I found that the laptop is a bit difficult to open compared to higher-end models. This is because the screen hinges are "sticky". When it is all said and done, this particular laptop is okay for checking emails, writing assignments, surfing the web, etc. For watching videos, playing graphic-rich games, or other memory-intense applications, this is not the laptop to buy.

With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free. This system has a screen with 1366 x 768 HD resolution. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. Finally, please keep in mind, this is an entry level, light use computer system. It uses Windows 10 Home 64-Bit as its operating system, which requires less than 2GB of RAM to run. This device has the latest WiFi capability, with 802.11AC connectivity. If your requirements fit this profile, this device is a good choice.
