||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this laptop for about 6 months and the battery lasts for just under an hour on a full charge, this is with battery saver on and screen brightness at 36%, what a joke. Computer is also too slow for me, there's too much spinning of the cursor or lag after clicking on something, don't even think about using Microsoft edge it will make you want to throw this thing in the garbage it makes it so slow, thank heavens for chrome. I know this laptop is a budget laptop but give me a break, spend a little extra and get something that won't make you want to smash it with a baseball bat.

Not worth the money

I got this for my dad who was using an extremely old desktop. He mainly checks e-mail and plays solitaire so I figured why not. The screen on this laptop is horrible. Turning up the brightness washes out the colors and turning it down makes it look dim and washed out. Another issue is the speed, it's still incredibly slow for being more recent. The thing boots slow and chokes when booting programs . The most annoying issue however is the track pad. The pad can be hypersensitive at times and nonresponsive at others, probably due to the choking cpu. I would not recommend using this for everyday use. I did not buy this for me and I would not but this was a major upgrade for my dad.

Posted .This is an entry level, light use system. It uses the AMD A6 processor. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Concerning the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.
