Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Ideapad 110-15 laptop. This system should provide good speed with its AMD A6 processor and 4GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

It is fast enough for my school work and little internet surfing that I do. I do not like the fact that the mouse pad will sometimes stall or "quit" working. I have only owned this thing about a month, and have already had 2 instances where I couldn't get the mousepad to work and had to restart the computer to get it working again. ... I guess you get what you pay for...

Posted .With regard to the touchpad issues you mention, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad may correct the stalling and the quitting of the touchpad you are experiencing.

Terrible computer

This by far is the worst I have used. It is slow to turn on and load (sometimes needing to be shut down several times) There is a substantial lag when typing an email (sometimes when I am done typing I have to wait several seconds for the words to finish coming across the screen and often times some words are left out). The computer often freezes and programs need to be shut down and re-loaded. I do not use the computer for anything but emailing, and basic school work. I never do any king of gaming, streaming or have more that 2-3 tabs open at a time. Also, it will not hold a charge at all. Even when fully charged, as soon as I unplug the computer it immediately drops to 87% battery life. The computer has never lasted more than 2 1/2 hours even on a full charge. Overall a very disappointing purchase for a full time teacher/single mom that can't afford to buy another computer in the near future.

You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.
