Great value if you know how to optimize it

Two USB ports are so close to each other so only one port can be used in reality. 2. Right shift key is placed in an awkward position. 3. Sound is smaller than usual laptop, need to adjust up 15%(but still can be heard) 4. mousepad is not that sensitive, it can stop in halfway 5. battery life is short, about 3 hours in simple processing and shorter for heavy work . Most of the cons is just appearance, will not affect performance too much. Pro: 1. CPU is good as it is 2689 in cpu mark. 2. RAM is 4G, enough for everyday work and small games 3. HDD is 500G, great for storaging photo and documents. 4. contains HDMI and DVD Drive I have seen people complaining that it is slow. YES. It is slow at the beginning. It takes me about 3 mins to turn on the laptop and another 2 min to wait for desktop to be ready. However, it can be fixed up several means. I uninstall all the trashware, disable the unnecessary task in the startup, use only selective startup in the system configuration, changing the paging file from 1333m to 4096m and adjust for best performance in visual effect. Now to turn on the laptop, it only takes 24 sec from pressing power button to desktop background and another 1 min to open the chrome and open youtube page. This is not i5 or i7. Don't expect a speed demon. It can only be comparable with Pentium and some i3 at most. Its a good value for the people that know how to optimize system and turn of the background service. If you do not optimize it, it can freeze every day. Basically, the laptop will not freeze more than 3 sec if you optimize all the things, under light-use condition. This is mainly for basic work and watching videos and low requirement gaming. PS. I have tried playing lol and it takes a long time in loading screen. However, under low setting, it can reach to 70 to 90 fps in lane and 40 to 60 fps in team fight, if you close all the other windows. Its playable and not bad. But you may get random 10 to 30 fps once in a game.

With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

The battery life of this device is up to 3 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing.

Awesome for the money

The touchpad "mouse" buttons and a little stiff and noisy/clunky but for the black friday price paid, I am a happy customer and have had a total of ZERO issues with this item.

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Whenever I would type the letters would show up seconds after i typed them. Biggest waste of money which is upsetting because i DID NOT have the money to spend on this...even better best buy would not let me return it because it was 1 day after 14 days.

Posted .It sounds like the software you downloaded is not compatible with Windows 10 or the configuration of this device. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the power plug on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.

Great Laptop for Student

It has been great. No issues at all. She uses this daily for school and games on the weekend. It also came with antivirus protection and Windows 10. Great laptop!
