Best of the Sub $150 Monitors

    Posted .

Not all monitors are created equal. There can be VAST differences between displays of similar price. This Lenovo is bright, has good black levels and amazing saturation. The controls are very nice and even give audible beeps letting you know you've hit the button. It has a solid display stand with actual metal in it (not just flimsy plastic. They even came up with a wonderful modified wingnut design to attach the base without any tools (no plastic snaps). Yes it may be thicker than other LED monitors, but anyone who uses that as a measure of quality doesn't know how to shop for a monitor. It feels like a quality product through and through. At least compared to other similarly priced monitors. Skip Acer, AOC, Samsung and Viewsonic and get this monitor if you want high resolution at a 21.5" size.

1080p Monitor, Low Power Consumption, Sharp Image

    Posted .

Literally my only complaints about this monitor is the lack of HDMI input and that it doesn't include a DVI cable. That is balanced by the fact that I paid $110 or so on this monitor. The DVI cable thing is annoying since many places carry the older VGA but not the newer DVI thanks to the ubiquity of HDMI. Image quality is superb. I'm a huge fan of the clarity of LED screens. The frame of this monitor is black brushed metal, likely aluminum though the body is mostly plastic. The monitor is light and thin, easy to attach the base and even comes shrouded in a big handled bag (think reusable fabric shopping bags, only twice the size). It includes DVI-D and VGA inputs on the back. The buttons to active the menu and power are touch sensitive rather than push button. This adds a bit more style to a great monitor.

    Good if using W7

First unit, used with W7-32, was fine - plug & play. Great to have a page in Acrobat side-by-side with page from WordPerfect! Second unit was to be used with an older OS and was not able to have/get all features. Lenovo did not respond. Still, the monitor was able to be sort-of used. Need to use with Windows 7

    easy set up

    Posted .

I Shopped around and liked a couple of other monitors in a similar price range. The overall value of screen size, price and picture quality made me choose the Lenavo. An added bonus is the ease of physically setting up the monitor on it's stand. No screws or tools needed.

Wise decision to upgrade to this monitor!

    Posted .

I had to change monitors for the longest time and when my old Dell monitor gave up on me, I had to search for an alternative. Came upon this Lenovo monitor first at a store and researched about it online. Read great reviews about it and since I really don't need super high-end monitors, just something that will be a definite upgrade on my last one, got this purchased and I was satisfied. The screen size is just right for room use. Easy to assemble especially for a non-technical person like me. Plugged the cables on my old Dell Dimension CPU and I'm good to go! So happy with this! I just had to fumble my way on how to adjust the settings as the browser and pictures and letters looked too stretched out at first use. Figured out a way to adjust it and I am now good to go. Videos load and viewed well. Pictures are also high resolution. This was the last stock on the store I bought it from that day and I refused to get other similar monitors. I felt this was a good deal and I've never been happier being able to use the PC in my room again.

    A Nice replacement Monitor

    Posted .

This monitor replaces an old CRT based unit that was 10 years old. This was the second computer system I'd used the CRT on, and while I'm due for a system upgrade, my finances aren't quite up to that stage yet. So, when I noticed the edges of objects and especially text starting to waver and shimmy, I knew it was time for a replacement. I agree with some other reviewers about the low-contrast markings on the adjustment buttons, they can be VERY hard to see, and take a bit of getting used to. The reactions of the buttons, primarily Power, can be a bit touchy. The drivers installed well and adjustment is generally straight-forward. Screen image is clean and crisp with no apparent distortions or dead pixels. The included VGA cable was adequate for my needs. So far I am very pleased with this product.

This monitor performs flawlessly and has a great viewing angle. I especially like the capacitive touch buttons. Having both a DVI and a VGA input is nice, especially when I dock my laptop.

    Best Monitor ive ever had.

    Posted .

Id like to just say this is a very worthy monitor. It has 1920 x 1080 resolution. The colors come in excellently. Bonus, there is very little fade. Comes with a dvi and analog port, but the analog port is adequate for HD quality images and videos. Unlike most other monitors for this price, this one comes with a METAL base mount. It is not made of glass like most other ones. and trust me, metal base equals awesome. There is very little downward angle, so if your looking up at it, there will be a little fade. I suggest getting the package that includes this monitor, as the computer that is in that package is excellent as well. Though, the plastic parts of this, are dust magnets but are also the type of plastic that is easily wiped off with a damp cloth. Oh, it comes with a microfiber cloth that is used to clean the screen and dust. I use a similar cloth for my glasses. The only bad thing i have about this is that there is no HDMI port. But the analog is adequate for me.

This monitor has a beautiful picture

What a difference this monitor makes. I replaced my old 17 inch AOC (5-6 yrs old). Which I really liked but if you buy a new computer package and you basically are getting the monitor for free what's not to love? The picture is so clear and vibrant. I'm very happy with it.

Just Fell Upon This Monitor And Glad I Did!

    Posted .

I love this monitor! I had been looking and trying out numerous brands Samsung, LG, HP, Dell, and a few lesser known brands. The high end monitors had decent pictures when I was comparing them all lined up next to each other, but small print was differcult to read. The contrast and brightness wasn't anything that was knocking my socks off being the latest and greatest as far as technology goes. I still undecided and ready to leave when I spotted This Lenovo L2262 hooked to a computer in one of the isles. The picture really caught my eye. The small print was clear, the colors were sharp and bright. The monitor has dvi and analog connections. Took it home and just plugged it in. Very easy setup. They give you a disk with the manual on it, but I never even had to refer to it. I highly recommend this to anybody looking for a monitor. Just in case you feel leary about buying a name you dont recognize, Lenovo is the IBM of the past. IBM was purchased by a Chinese company a few years ago. Good Quality for a Good Price. Their Laptops are awsome also! Happy Shopping!

    A Good, Solid Monitor

    Posted .

It's a really well put-together monitor. The screen is bright without being washed-out, and the whole thing really feels like it's going to last for ages. Color depth is really good, and it's in the running for the best LED monitor I've ever seen. As for the minor quibbles: The controls on the monitor are touch-sensitive, which means they're a little unwieldy until you get used to them. The power button is recessed and requires a double-tap to turn off, making it almost impossible to switch off automatically. But the other controls (brightness, menu, etc) are a little hard to handle. Also, the monitor came out of the box with sound turned on; a little beep that sounded every time you hit a button. Annoying, but you can turn it off. I did, first day. Finally, it is a VGA monitor. No HDMI support. Kind of sad, really. The quibbles aside, though, this is a really good monitor, and I'll probably keep it for quite a while.

    Great Value

Large screen was my primary decision for this model. When I came home I was quite satisfied with it. The only real issue I had was the cables where a little difficult to plug into, however the monitor has a great cable management clip in the back.

I was pleased enough that I bought a second one!

This is just the right size for my computer desk as it's the smallest size that has 1080p video. The video is excellent and the price was right. No cons for me.

    Excellent

Love this monitor. Much better than my laptop screen, and it's the perfect size...not too big, not too small. The design is excellent, the touch-sensitive buttons are cool. The fact that it has angle adjustment is AWESOME. The stand seems to allow the screen rock a little bit though.

    Poor Picture Quality No Support

    Posted .

The picture quality bites, has an icon for adjusting color but unable to access it. The contrast is way to high even when trying to adjust. No customer support, calling lenovo's main support is a joke.... Will be taking this one back. Better produces within this price range.
