Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Great laptop at a great price

The only con is the keyboard seems a bit off but not sure if that is because of the number pad on the side. And the click buttons are kind of loud. Other than that, great performance at a great price.

Great Laptop

The only thing is the li-polomer battery doesn't hold a charge as long as the li-ion battery Lenovo states 4-6 hrs, but it doesn't last that long. Lenovo if you are seeing this is there a way to upgrade to a li-ion battery ?

With regard to the battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.
Good Laptop for the price

It's a 7th generation i5 processor with 8 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD, which are the highlight of this laptop. I bought this laptop for my mother who is not really technically savvy but like to browse a lot and transfer songs between phone and laptop. Although I believe this configuration is little but overkill for her needs but at this price it is very good buy. I didn't get to explore much on this one, but yes it is but heavy for my mother (who is 70) to carry.

Posted .This system has a 7th generation processor that is ultra low voltage/energy efficient. Thought eh battery is a 2-cell battery, the average battery life still should be 4 to 6 hours.

Right shift key not in correct space for typists

It would seem that something this basic would not be changed on any keyboard. I am constantly hitting the page up key and need to go back to correct mistakes that are being made because of that. Everything else about the laptop is great, but this is too big to ignore.

With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.
