Posted .Regarding the touchpad on the Lenovo IdeaPad 330s-15 laptop, be sure the touchpad is turned on. Tap the HotKey in the F6 position on your keyboard, this HotKey toggles the touchpad on/off. Once the touchpad is on, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. The IdeaPad 330s-15 comes with a standard laptop, glass screen.

Everything else at this price point doesn't even compare. I bought this laptop for a client. The client needed a larger hard drive so I was shocked to see there is an M.2 slot on the motherboard. That's right you can buy a Samsung NvMe 970 pro and boot in seconds! Unfortunately I had no idea there was M.2 so I bought a 860 pro SSD for my client. It still booted in less than 15 seconds. The display is full resolution 1920x1080 and very crisp. The speed and features of this laptop made me want to buy one for myself.

You can't beat this for the price...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on sale for $430, which was about $70 cheaper than I had seen it anyway, after watching sales for months on end. You can get this for over $500 easily... but I'm a bit of bargain hunter and I wasn't in a hurry... Pros: + Fast CPU (Ryzen 2500U). 8GB RAM. Decent Radeon built-in graphics GPU. + Beautiful, clear, FULL HD IPS screen - best I've ever used on a laptop. Note: FULL HD in 15" is TINY... so you have to actually WANT that (or tell Windows to scale up the fonts and icons for you). + Light and sturdy (about 4 pounds!). + Good keyboard feel and size. + Doesn't get too hot. + 2 USB3 ports, 1 USB3-C, HDMI and an SD card reader... just enough for me (although I did get a bluetooth mouse to avoid having to use up one of the USB ports). + Built-in WiFi is okay.. but slow for bulk downloads... best I can get with it is 5MB/sec even with a solid 150Mbps wireless connection. So you may want to use a good USB WiFi adapter if you need to download a bunch of stuff (Steam games, etc.). This isn't the first laptop I've run into with less-than-stellar WiFi speed, so not a big deal. Maybe Lenovo will update the drivers and fix it eventually. + Touch pad seems quite good but I don't use it too much - I prefer a mouse. Cons: - No keyboard backlight... BOOO! - Battery life could be better but good enough for me. - Keypad keys are smaller than normal but not terrible. Arrow UP/DOWN keys just about unusable (two keys in the normal space for one key). - No hard drive activity LED (stop taking away all of my indiciator lights PLEASE!). - 128GB SSD is NOT enough for Windows 10, but it's possible to replace the 128GB SSD with something bigger (I put in a 480GB) - I knew this going in. At this price range, you're not going to get one with a 500GB SSD... so I look for a laptop which I can put my own SSD in. - Lenovo COULD have provided a removable panel to access the drive bay like others do, but they didn't (you have to take the whole back off to swap out the SSD). - Windows 10 tends to crash when you put this laptop to sleep, even with all the latest drivers from Lenovo, so you'll want to tell Windows 10 to hibernate instead of sleeping when you close the lid (and it only takes about 10 seconds for this laptop to hibernate for me)... then... sleep problem solved! - No Ethernet connector - but there's no room for it. I use a USB Ethernet adapter to connect to the LAN at work. I shopped for many months waiting for the right deal and it paid off. Despite the nitpicks, this is exactly what I was looking for... a powerful, light and portable, Windows 10 laptop with 8GB RAM, a fast SSD and a nice FULL HD screen.

A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. This model does not have a backlit keyboard. The IdeaPad 330s-15 model ships with a 2CELL 30WH, Lithium Polymer battery, with a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. Windows 10 should have no problem with the Sleep mode. Be sure your BIOS and drivers as well as the Windows 10 version you have on your computer, are all up to date. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

The Ryzen 5 processor is quick and the built in APU is good enough for simple gaming. The screen is clear, but not the brightest. Storage is small at 128Gb but it is an SSD so it boots quickly and is fast loading programs.

This is the best laptop for the price, with Ryzen 5, 128GB SSD and a great design. Not anywhere near as bulky as the comparable brands, and with an amazing screen resolution. Only bad thing is the battery life, it’s really bad. I would buy this laptop again, everything runs smoothly and I haven’t had any issues.

Ok laptop for price

The laptop boots up quick thanks to the ssd drive and does what my nephew needs..but with solid state drives dropping in price it would have been nice if it were larger. 128gb fills up quickly. Also the battery life is not great, about 3 hours.

Great Laptop For The Price

Though some of the things I don't like about it are the McAfee software that's preinstalled, I had a bad experience with a previous laptop that I couldn't get rid of it and it will annoyingly pop up all the time. Also the keyboard can't be used in the dark as it is difficult to see the letters when typing.

If the 30-day trial expires and you have not uninstalled McAfee, you will receive popup warnings that your computer is no longer protected from viruses. You can uninstall McAfee and install any other 3rd party virus protection software. You can also use the free Windows Defender software that comes with Windows 10. Great laptop for middle schooler

At the recommendation of the Best Buy associate I got this for him since it could do a decent job playing some of the games he likes. The only drawback was the 128GB SSD is awfully small and quick to fill. Overall he’s been quite happy with the laptop.

Super responsive, lightweight, great IPS screen

He wanted a 15.6" laptop that was light weight with a 1080P screen, a number pad, that would run cool, and be very responsive. The Ryzen 5 CPU in there is solid and stacks up well against the 8th-gen Intel i5 CPUs. The onboard Vega graphics are really solid for a non-gaming laptop. 8GB of RAM is perfect for 90% of people. The 128GB SSD is perfect for him, since he's not storing all kinds of movies on there. The screen is a matte finish 1920 x 1080 IPS screen, so you get excellent color reproduction & great viewing angles. The keyboard feels really solid and the overall build quality feels really good. It does not flex when held on the corner, thanks to the aluminum chassis. It's super thin and light and runs cool, as well. Note: The SSD uses an m.2 slot. There is a 2.5" SATA slot open if you want to add additional storage in the future.

She is not the nerd I am and needed something just basic. She does email, recipes, cute animal videos, online bill payments, weather forecasts, and other beginner stuff. She doesn't do games. No need for speed. And she shops! God, I love this laptop! My first experience with SSD discs and even with the 125 gig capacity, more than adequate for her. As I am her Tech Support, I will be troubled with the Home Win 10 system. I do not have it in my system, but I will make due somehow. Again, her tasks are simple compared to mine. It's a good buy for her!
