Given as a gift for my mother-in-law who uses Microsoft Office to create and display slide show for different presentations she does around town. Boots in 3.8 secs and is able to be online in less than 10. Decent size Solid State Drive for a user who only keeps minimal amount of data.

To maximize the battery life, be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery:

However, I simply could not work with the battery life which endured not much beyond 3 hours. Had the keyboard been backlit and the battery lasted more than 6 hours, I think the specs and Design would make this a quality machine.

Great Value, Only One Issue

Great screen, keyboard, etc. With the SSD, it's blazing fast and has plenty of RAM. It does have a fan, but it makes only minimal noise. I wish it had a backlight keyboard but at this price point, it's not expected. My one issue is that I can not install Linux on the machine. At least I haven't yet cracked the code. But, that's not a machine problem as much as a user problem.
