do NOT buy this pc. better yet to be safe, do not buy any ideapad from lenovo. I bought this pc and I have had nothing but trouble. after 5 months of ownership and very light use, this pc is up for trash. - USB port stopped working. - takes few trials to start up without crashing while starting windows. - space bar on the keyboard keeps getting worse. - battery life is nonexistent! this is a bad pc. you can do a lot better with an HP or a Dell, better yet opt for a MacAir if you are willing to pay extra. either way for the same price you can get a much better pc. please don't buy this pc.

Laptop is fast, but internet is slow

Just got this laptop in the mail and when I powered it on and connected to wifi I noticed that the internet was slow. I tried to even open googles website and it took forever to load and showed weak wifi bars. I have read online that this model has a very weak wifi card and unless you are sitting right by the router your internet connection will be spotty. All other devices have full bars except for this laptop and it is a shame because I really liked the build quality and the display. Will have to return to Best Buy.

This system uses the latest 802.11AC WiFi frequency. Although 802.11AC is backward compatible to older b/g/n frequencies, be sure your b/g/n router has the latest firmware updates available from the manufacturer. You can check this at the router manufacturer's web site. You can also keep the BIOS/Drivers and other operating software up to date on the computer as well, very easily. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. lenovo

I've worked on computers since the 1960s. This machine closes programs on me, has shut down while I'm in the middle of working, will no longer charge the battery to work for any extended time... I tried calling the manufacturer in the first few weeks, with very little response or help. I see below that you want permission to post my review... by all means post it, and I'll be very surprised if you do!

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your IdeaPad 330s-15 laptop. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. If there is no incompatible software installed, this system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. I just bought this laptop, it works fine. But, i'm wondering why the type of SSD listed in the product specification is (PCIe SSd), but when i checked the device manager and found that the ssd name is SATA SSD ( HFS128G32TNF-N3A0A), which is slower and less quality than the PCIe SSD. This is unacceptable

Absolute slowest piece of garbage ever. My phone has faster speeds then it. Best Buy guy claims my network just didn’t recognize device. Makes no sense at all since I returned that piece of trash and got a better laptop and it’s lighting fast.
