AMAZING LENOVO!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Lenovo laptop and loved it but had to sell it so I was looking for a replacement Was going to get a laptop until I seen this for only 369$!! I was not expecting the value I got for my money! It came with a 1 tb hard drive that I planned to use for storage I purchased a PNY 128 GB SSD AND WOW!! This desktop boots up in 4 seconds and has absolutely no lag!! I have played Tomb Raider NFS Hot Pursuit and Hitman Absolution and no lag with the onboard graphics The processor is unbelievably fast and faster than my friends low level i5!!! Couldn’t be happier!!

Perfect for me
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This desktop is perfect for me, I am not into gaming, or complicated things on my computer, a little Facebook, other social media pages, and some photo editing. This has a good size hard drive and so many USB ports. It totally fits my needs. I'm happy and the price was right, I paid under $500 and would buy it again.

Great value for a starter Desktop PC
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great value for a starter PC. The mini tower is well built, compact, and very light. It comes with a basic keyboard and mouse. It is also extremely quiet and comes with very little software bloat. External expandability is nice with 4 USB 2.0 ports in the back, and 2 USB 2.0 and 3 USB 3.0 ports in the front (one of which is a USB-C port). I would have preferred to have some USB 3.0 ports in the back to attach an always connected external drive with less cable clutter. There is also a card reader in the front of the case along with a laptop styled DVD-RW drive. For two monitor support there is one HDMI port and one VGA port. I would have preferred the VGA port to be another HDMI or DVI port since analog VGA doesn’t provide text as sharp as a digital connector (HDMI or DVI) would. Finally, the front of the case has ports for a headphone and mic. Setup was very easy but a little slow at first because I’m used to PCs with SSDs and this one doesn’t come with an SSD. It does come with a large 1TB hard drive for storing your programs and data. Once it finished setting up, the PC seemed to be very responsive and zippy when doing basic tasks like surfing the web, watching videos, writing and editing text (such as this review) on Google Docs. Installing the full workload for Visual Studio 2019 took about 25 minutes. Editing and compiling source code felt fast and responsive so this computer would be a decent software development machine. When using Handbrake to transcode videos, I was able to achieve about 20 fps using the “Super HQ 1080p30 Surround” preset. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 is able to provide light gaming duties. It can run older games like Heroes of Might and Magic 3 HD Edition with no problem. Trying to run more graphically intensive games such as Witcher 3 was not successful for me. I aborted the attempt after tiring of waiting for the game to start. However, if you are able to pair the 8th generation Intel Core i3-8100 with a nice discrete graphics card, this computer is actually very capable of being a great budget gaming system. The Core i3-8100 is a very nice CPU. Since I usually put together my PCs from parts, one of the first things I do when buying a custom PC is to check how easily upgradeable it is so it can grow as the user’s abilities and desires grows. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to open the custom case. Once I removed the side cover and swivelled up the metal drive bay frame, it revealed a nice clean open layout for the interior with several internal expansion possibilities. There are two memory slots that are filled with two 4GB sticks. You can easily increase the memory by swapping them out with two larger 8GB sticks to get a total of 16GB. There is one free SATA port and an open internal drive bay space for adding an SSD or another hard drive but I didn’t see any standard mounting holes so I’m not sure how I would attach them there. I also didn’t see any obvious free power cabling to use for any additional drives. There is also one free PCIe x16 slot and one free PCIe x1 slot for internal expansion. The power supply is a HuntKey HK280-72pp (in a less common TFX form factor) which provides 180W which might prove problematic if you want to install a graphics card in the PCIe x16 slot since most modern graphics cards recommend having a 300W power supply at a minimum. You might be able to get away with installing something low-powered like a GeForce GT 1030 in there if you ever want to run more graphically intense games. For most non-gamers, the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 is more than enough. It might be possible to swap out the power supply with a higher spec power supply but I’ve never worked with the TFX form factor or whether the current power supply has something non-standard about it that would make it difficult. Overall, ease of future upgradability is a question mark for me because of the power supply and non-standard mounting for the spare internal drive bay. The computer is definitely upgradeable but I’m not sure what the limitations are. Overall, this would make a great starter computer to give your parents or kids for work, school, and entertainment as long as they are not heavy duty gamers.

Great Computer for Home, Work or School Use.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a regular home user that just want a good home PC that you can use for work, school or even as a media server then you are looking at the right PC. I have been testing the Lenovo 510A-15ICB Desktop to see if it fits my needs as a basic home user. In the box is the tower, power cable, keyboard and mouse. The only thing I needed to add was my own Monitor. After plugging it in and setting up windows, I installed all my favorite software and started working from home. My first observation about this PC is that it is surprisingly quiet and the processor was able to run multiple applications simultaneously without any issues whatsoever. It has more than enough storage to save all my files and photos, and had all the usb ports I needed, to include a UCB C port. Also, the entire time I was using it the wifi was strong and worked great. Another nice thing about it is that there is room for upgradability. It has 2 ram slots, a slot for a video card and you can add a SATA SSD if you want to get some added speed for gaming. With that being said. This is a great computer at a fair price that has enough speed, storage and ports to satisfy my home needs to be productive.

Summer Ease and Fast Setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got my tower this week and the set up was amazing! This setup/build is great for a starter computer and it has enough memory to make storing documents and photos great! Ideally this tower is going to be for storing my pictures. I was bummed about how long updates took at first but with the major updates and restarting the computer it worked fast after that. Lenovo didn’t add a lot of programs but that’s not a huge deal. I can’t wait to get some dual screens set up to edit photos and videos. Oh and the design of the tower is smooth and easily fits in my office. I was hesitant about having a tower but it is small and not over designed. Oh and best part is that it doesn’t hum like old desktops used to. I expected the fans to make a loud buzzing sound but nothing. You’ll notice I tested my projector with it and it streamed video nicely. Remember it’s a great starter pack for family and not loaded with lots of bells and whistles.

First time turning it on and somehow it's locked !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer two hours ago, turned it on for the first time, anxious to use my new computer. And this is the message I get "Account Disabled. Contact your administrator." What does this even mean!!! I literally just bought this computer NEW. It shouldn't have an administrator or anything since it is my first time turning it on. This is upsetting... I'm locked out of my computer and haven't even used it! I will have to return it tomorrow. First LENOVO product a failure.

Fast and simple
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very slim PC, it has all you need to be used as a small/home office, or as a media center PC. It has a dvd burner/reader, sd card reader, and plenty of USB ports. I currently have it plugged into my TV via its included HDMI port. I have my media hard drives plugged into the 8 (yes, 8!) available usb ports. Setup was easy and Windows 10 was included. The boot times are fast and it barely has any bloatware. The core i3 was snappy and more than enough for the use as a media center pc. The tower was small and they even included a basic keyboard and mouse! Great value for the price!

Excellent Home and Home Office PC
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a 12 year old Lenovo with this one. It has a few more bells and whistles than my old one and is much faster. I don't game so this one was excellent for my needs like spreadsheets, word processing, and picture storage. The price was very good! Switching from Windows 7 to Windows 10 is a bit of a pain in the rear. But I would recommend to others who want a PC for the same needs as mine.
