I bought this for my grandmother since she absolutely loved her old Acer Chromebook (bought in 2015 from Best Buy) and was wanting a newer one. I was sold on this one because of the ability for her to use the touchscreen instead of just a trackpad (she had gotten used to a trackpad her old chromebook, but a touchscreen would definitely be easier for someone her age). She loves it! My only complaint is that Google should allow chromebooks to switch to a specific view that has everything really big (not just zooming in web pages, but a really big taskbar, app drawer, etc.) for elderly customers with poor eyesight. I can't really take off a star for that since it isn't Lenovo's fault, it's just an issue I have with chromebooks in general. For $179 during Best Buy's Cyber Week, you can't get a better deal than this!

What are value. This little Android machine does everything my 90 year old husband wants and more. He uses it for email, zoom meetings, browsing the Internet, playing words with friends with his friends and family. He can pick it up and carry it wherever he needs from room to room and the battery has a good life. I tell people this has the simplicity of a big telephone and the utility of a computer on my desktop. If you need a lot of speed or a lot of memory, if you want to do a whole lot of things at the same time, maybe this isn't for you. But for the majority of people who do little more than use a computer to catch up on email, send text messages and attend meetings on formats like zoom dash well this is just what you need.

This device works well for most applications except Zoom. Great for students or light office work. I love the touch screen option to convert into a tablet or back into the laptop setup.

My older mother decided she wanted a computer and she is EXTREMELY tech challenged (she thinks WiFi is everywhere, like just in the air for everyone to use). I considered moving states and changing my name instead of shopping with her. Well, after 50000 million hours she decided this one looked cute. I was blown away by how easy it was to guide her on how to set it up and use. It doesn’t feel or look cheap at all, and quite frankly the price is a steal. She’s not using it as a hardcore gamer, or gamer at all. Or extreme uses, so I can’t comment on that. But I can say if you need an easy to use, dependable, quality computer that won’t break the bank. This is it. (I waited to review after a few months of use instead of first impressions).

Bought this gem ahead of my trip. At about $200 it is a fantastic machine. I have a half dozen laptops in my stable (I am an IT Pro) and this thing has become a preferred tool. I can't believe I'm saying that - but it is true. It just works. Nothing really stands out in the description, but I think that is the point. The utility is just that - reliable utility. Screen is good, battery excellent, typing feel no compromise. The perfect number of ports covering necessities (USB A, USB C, HDMI, headphone, and SD Card) I can actually do everything on this (Linux and Android support) making my high end Mac and Windows machines seem wasteful. I had to add an SD card for more storage, if there is one thing I dislike is the shallow SD card insertion. To keep my card in full time, I had to purchase a special adapter and use a micro. It works, flush mounted with special adapter and has made this a daily driver. I have the pick of any machine, a couple of mine costing well over 15x this device. Security and practicality - way to go Lenovo. If you know what you are doing - and you don't care about gaming on your PC - short of a few use cases that require Windows or Mac, this is a great little laptop. This computer exemplifies chrome OS and its promise. The Mediatek processor is perfect. ARM is fantastic, and it means excellent android compatibility with all day battery!

my grandsons needed a chromebook for school this year and almost everywhere was sold out but I finally found this one and the price was great and they love it. Fits nicely in their backpack, easy to use!!

Very east to setup. Was ready to roll 5 minutes after I received it. It is fast and I love the touch screen feature. I highly recommend this Chromebook, my kids do all there schoolwork on it.

Purchased this for my wife as an early Christmas gift while on sale. Great devise. Variable 360 deg angle touchscreen allows her to use it anywhere. It is one of the lighter weight ones available for its size and is well made. I looked at many similar ones and decided on this one. Only downside is the limited ports, but that was my choice when I picked the unit for purchase. 1 HDMI and 1 USB. Went with a Bluetooth mouse to keep the USB port free.

The laptop works great. If you're not use to a Chrome book then the keyboard can be a little difficult to maneuver at first, but after a bit is should get easier. I love that it flips into a tablet, which is really how I use it on a day to day basis. Like other reviews mentioned the laptop does get heavier when in tablet form, however that's to be expected and its honestly not too heavy to be a hindrance. I don't notice any applications running slow and have not been suddenly kicked out of tab. I read a lot of good reviews on this product and can definitely say for the price this is a great product.

the Laptop is very good size and go in my large purse. it is touchscreen and the apps are easy to use. i would recommend this to someone looking for a laptop to start. ideal for 10yr old and above.

Great battery life, love the 2 and 1 design. Great laptop for the price. Never been a fan of lenovo until now. Way better than any HP or Dell I've ever had.

Perfect laptop for people on the go it's light and it's pretty fast price was amazing has some downfalls but if you want a really good laptop at a great price this is it

We bought this Chromebook for online schooling, it's compact and good size to fit into backpack and not too heavy. Kids love the touch screen. Great prize and value

The laptop is excellent BUT you should ask @ LENOVO when you register your product for a USER GUIDE link which will tell you how to use your purchase. THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS except how to turn the unit on and plug it to a power source. Touch screen and SD Card slot are a big plus. PC Magazine has a great article on this model. BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. Have your Google gmail account ready(or set one up) and 10 digit Smart phone access code so you can confirm your registration.

Good buy. Great battery. Wish I had gotten Intel or AMD processor and more space. Decent speed loading web pages and programs. I didn't know I wouldn't be able to run full Office 365.

It's still "early days" as I learn the nuances and differences between Chromebook and Windows, but all is going smoothly. This is exactly the Lenovo CB I wanted. The screen resolution is very nice. I'm also impressed at the longevity of the battery between charges. The keyboard does get take getting used to when you are transitioning from a standard computer or notebook keyboard. There are no major obstacles to this but a bit of regular use helps ease the transition. The Lenovo is not my primary notebook/tablet but it certainly will be my traveling tablet in the future. Now, it's a notebook backup, e-reader, and beginners e-art canvass. If there has been any challenge to this Lenovo is that the information included with the Lenovo box is minimal at best. It took me quite a bit of online searching to find the EXACT match User's Manual. If you're new to Chromebooks, be aware that some familiar keys are missing from the streamlined Chromebook keyboard -- like the Home, Delete, and F-keys. Not to worry, many of those single-key functions can be achieved by combining 2 - 3 keys on the CB keyboard to execute a given function. Fortunately, more seasoned Chromebook users have generously compiled and posted "cheat sheets" for alternate key combinations to achieve the actions performed by now-missing keys from many/most Chromebook keypads. And speaking of key and touch pads, I like the touch and feel of the keyboard. I normally avoid touchpads as much as possible but I like, and am quickly getting used to, the Lenovo keyboard/touch pad. There is far less for basic users to do to access and shut down the Chromebook than with a standard notebook or PC. On most days, I open the lid and start working; at the end of the work day, I close the lid to put the CB into hibernate mode. This Lenovo is a great way to introduce non- or inexperienced computer users to the world of tablets and many basic uses like email, basic document creating, and surfing the Internet. My sister is a nearly hopeless laptop user but using her Lenovo Chromebook has reduced her tech stress level considerably. I cannot speak to how appealing this particular Lenovo will be to gamers or users who plan to watch plenty of streaming programs and movies as I do not use my Lenovo for these purposes. (However, I do stream YouTube materials and find the quality of picture is great for my viewing pleasure and comfort.) The sound quality is not great, but it certainly is good for most comfortable use. Finally, the price is right. This Lenovo Idea Pad meets all my small notebook needs and the most amazingly reasonable price.

This computer is great for college students and for people doing work everyday. This computer has a great battery life which is excellent for long time working users. The computer itself is a very great design, optimized for people who heavily conduct work online. The setup is easy and straight forward. All you have to do is add Wifi and your email. You are then ready to get started. This computer is 2-in-1 meaning you can touch this computer as well. Overall quality and design is simply great. It will most certainly suit a person with a great professional look.

This Chromebook has been a fantastic purchase! I surprised my wife with this laptop for Christmas because she is now a teacher. It has surpassed my expectations. She has been able to use it for Zoom calls, browser-based work applications, and Microsoft/Google apps. The ability to use it as a tablet has been very useful. She bought her own stylist for it and prefers using it as a hybrid, touching whatever she can and typing on the keyboard. It does need to be understood that it is a smaller size screen but perfect for mobility. 5 Star purchase!

Bought this awhile ago. Still runs good and my daughter travels with it. Battery life is amazing

probably would have given 5 stars but I have only owned this chromebook a couple weeks but so far I am very pleased with it. It is faster than my old lenovo chromebook, 4gb vs 2gb, and it feels very solid. Really like the flex option and the touch screen.
