Posted .This is a desktop computer, there is no built in web cam within the desktop configuration. This system ships with a dual-core AMD A9-9430 processor, with a base processor speed of 3.2GHz and a burst processor speed of up to 3.5GHz. This system has the latest version 802.11AC WiFi, 3X faster than the older 2.4GHz WiFi frequency. This is a solid, midrange configuration and would be a great choice for a desktop computer user.

Pc is OK if you don't need reliability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For starters it's fairly easy to set up even for people that are not very pc friendly, but if you are looking for reliability I would not recommend this one. We bougot ours beginning of November and with in two weeks I was on the phone with Tech support. After 2 hours on the phone waiting for someone to pick up I was on the phone for 20 min, they installed a scan program and began the test. Once it was up and running they said to call back when it was finished if anything popped up. Scan took 3 hours to complete and once it was finished it said their was a problem with the motherboard. So I called back and again 2 hours on hold waiting for someone to pick up, that tech agent ran the program again and same problem. Offered no help fixing the problem of it just shutting down without warning. We returned the pc back to best buy and got another and now three weeks later the same problem is happening again. I work from home as a virtual call center agent and am close to loosing my job bc it will shutdown and disconnect the customer without warning. Very displeased and trying to contact Lenovo for assistance but not getting anywhere. So if your looking for something for homework or for nothing but browsing the Internet I guess it'll do but if you need something fully reliable I would think twice about getting this one.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaCentre 310s desktop. The fact the issue happened with two separate models points to the possibility of an installed software issue. Be sure any software you have installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If this issue continues, try this Lenovo Tech Support number: 877-453-6686.

Excellent for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer does a great job if used for the purposes it was designed for. Keep in mind it isn't a $2000 piece of high-speed gear intended to play complex video games. It can run word processing programs, surf the internet and be used for small business accounting purposes with ease. Just don't expect it to multi-task complex programs. For the money, this is a great little computer, well worth the price.

Cheap old man upgrades cheap old PC
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a super pc or gaming pc but I do play a lot of games on it. Upgraded the RAM to 16 gb and it runs great. For the money I am not disappointed. If you want to spend $2000 on a gaming PC go ahead. I may be crazy but I am installing a SSD in it. Still less than buying a new PC. The integrated graphics is the only drawback for me. Would like dedicated but on a budget it is what it is.

Absolulute Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is the biggest piece of junk i have EVER come across. Apparently it has an issue updating Windows Feature Updates, and what's worse, you can't even do a clean install on it. It's a problem in the factory installed bios, and, get this, when you try and flash the bios it bricks the system. But wait, it gets better, THERE'S NO WAY FROM LENOVO TO RECOVER THE BIOS!!!! Do yourself a favor and avoid Lenovo products at all costs. GARBAGE. Especially the BB store exclusives

Mehhh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new computer. I saw the price on this one and the good reviews and thought I would give it a try. Less than 48 hours later, it will be going back. It freezes a lot. It is very slow. I have only owned Dell's and HP's before and they load very quickly. Just to get this thing out of sleep mode can take up to 2 minutes. No thank you. If you are purchasing this for a kid or you don't mind it being slow, then it would be good for the price.

Do Not Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is about eight months old. At about five weeks it died and I had to pay to send it to the repair unit across the country. Now at eight months it died again and sends no signal to the monitor.

Posted .This system use the latest and fastest version of WiFi, 802.11AC. Be sure that your router has the most current firmware updates, for although 802.11AC is backward compatible to older b/g/n frequencies, to get optimum performance, be sure your router firmware is up to date. Check your router manufacturer's web site for updates. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.
