Initial set up was easy. Was up and running in minutes following the online instructions. Nice it also came with a keyboard, mouse and a wireless adapter. Quiet running tower and am more than satisfied with the memory and storage. The only negative is the CD-DVD compartment is kind of flimsy. It only opens partially after pushing on the button. Find the vertical opening more difficult inserting the disk than the horizontal set up. However, it plays well. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

I love the design and compactness of this pc. The size allows me to display it on top of my desk compared to the old bulky ones that you hide under your desk. In terms of operation. Set up was easy. This is a great product for those wanting an above average performance for an excellent price. I can't complain about its performance as well as its elegance. This is a great buy for home use.

I run a computer repair shop and sometimes customers want me to get them a new machine instead of repairing their old Vista-era clunkers. This particular Lenovo has been a godsend. Paired with a cheap 240GB SSD (also available at Best Buy!) and a fresh Windows 10 Home install from scratch, they are frankly amazing for "budget" desktops. I have several very happy customers because of these things. It doesn't hurt that they're both stylish and slim. Highly recommended!

Got this computer to serve as a new desktop so I could use my laptop as a dedicated mobile device. I did get some additional RAM, but even though my research indicated it could handle 2 8GB chips, it could not. I was finally able to get one 8GB unit in one slot and used the original 4GB in the other slot for a total of 12GB. Even with the additional RAM, it tends to be quite laggy, especially for about 5-10 minutes after I wake it up from sleep.

I had to purchase a new computer due Windows 7 becoming obsolete. My old pc was getting slower buy the year (had it ever since 2012) and I wasn't ready to "break-up" with it just yet. So I was hesitant about shopping for another. I wanted to find something for a good price and a good value. I had never owned a Lenovo so I thought I'd give a shot. It was physically smaller than what I had and a bigger hard drive, Windows 10. And the biggest selling point of all was it is supposed to be FAST. What I realized with this purchase is just because it's a good price doesn't mean it is of good value. This thing is slower than my 8 year old machine! I have tried some tricks of the trade to boost it's speed but this is brand new. I shouldn't have to worry about speed. I admit I did read some of the reviews prior to buying this computer and lack of speed was mentioned. I wish I would have taken heed to some of the reviews. However, there is a plus side: Windows 10.

I needed a replacement PC for a old one I use for work. I don't need anything super powerful or anything with a graphics card. This fits the bill just fine. It's get enough power to access web pages and run office programs. The USB ports work, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work and the CD drive works. The fans work and it's whisper quiet. It comes pre loaded with windows and didn't have any bloatware on it.

I bought this expecting a new machine that would run as well if not better then the one I was replacing, turns out I was wrong. My son is a computer tech and knowing when I bought this we would need to add 4GB of RAM we ordered some just for it to get here and the machine not completely boot up when it was put in place, meaning the power would come on the fan would start running very hard but the monitors would not come on, we had to remove the additional RAM put the original back by itself for the system to boot up. While the case was opened my son also noticed that the processor can not be upgraded because it is welded directly to the mother board as if it is a laptop instead of a desktop pc. I would return it but we already threw the box away. On top of that because of COVID-19 the fact that I purchased Geek Squad protection with it does no good since apparently they aren't currently working.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with upgrading the RAM within your lenovo IdeaCentre 310s Desktop, model number 90G90068U. This model ships with 4GB of DDR4-2666MHz RAM in one of the two RAM memory slots. This system can support 8GB of RAM, so you can add an additional 4GB of DDR4-2666MHz RAM. Be sure the RAM you are trying to install is compatible with the RAM already within this system. You are correct the processor within this configuration is not upgradable. If you continue to have issues, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

I bought this computer for basic web browsing and to store family documents, photos, and videos. Existing reviews made this computer seem like a good value option for a non-gaming computer. After basic windows configuration and installing Google Chrome, a reboot would literally take over 5 minutes. After entering my password - I stared at a blank screen for 3 minutes waiting on the desktop to appear. I get this is a value machine, but that is unrealistic... and this is before adding programs/apps and loading up the drive with files for storage. On top of this - it was very slow to respond. I would click an option in settings and literally 15 seconds later the window would open and the computer acknowledge the action. Perhaps I got a bad one... but this is going back to the store... today! Based on my experience - I would look at other options for your value PC. FYI - Not claiming to be an expert - but I am no beginner on PC's. I am a programmer, work on a work PC all day, and have built multiple machines on my own. Sometimes the issue is between the keyboard and the back of the chair - but this aint one of those times. Best of luck!

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaCentre 310s desktop. It should not take 5 minutes for this configuration to boot up. Be sure you have configured Windows 10 according to the directions offered during the initial activation. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

Once again, thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaCentre 310s Desktop. You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you ever need additional help with your Lenovo computer, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. Lenovo
