Factory installed versions of the Windows Operating System no longer ship with recovery media included. The user is encouraged to make their own recovery media. Returning the item as soon as geek squad fixes my old pc. It just freezes up over and over again while working in the system and you have to hard boot as you can’t access task manager.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaCentre 5i Desktop Computer, model number 90RJ009GUS. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. Here is a link to instructions for uninstalling McAfee from a Windows computer:  https://service.mcafee.com/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. If you are getting slower than expected performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. Worst computer I’ve ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This may be the worst desktop I’ve ever owned since I got a RadioShack one in the 80’s! The computer is buggy, slow and has a host of issues. It’s about two or three years old and now won’t boot after the last windows update. It won’t go into safe mode and is now going into trash. I’ll never buy a lenova product again. I use no programs on the computer and keep all files on Dropbox and my software is cloud based. It shouldn’t be that hard Lenova
