Terrible design

The electronics and processors are not that bad but mediocre at best .What makes this unit an absolute do not buy are the cheap power supply ,the flimsy case and the design of the front of the case whereas you have to completely unplug all the usb and audio inputs I front to be able to use the DVD drive . Absolutely a incredibly stupid design .Boooooo lenovo .What a joke .

Problem one; sometimes the computer will freeze up and the only way to make the computer working is unplugging and replugging the computer back up. Problem two; "We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer." I hope I did not buy a lemon. I will call or come by Best Buy on Monday concerning these problems.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the initial setup of your Lenovo IdeaCentre 5i Desktop, model number 90NA0001US. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Ordered wireless mouse and keyboard I was told would come with the Computer. After arriving 3 days late with NO wireless mouse or keyboard. The salesman seemed very hurried never really there and said things without looking at us just wanted the sale. I would never recommend Best Buy to anyone. Front section is very unstable had to remove front section just to get to the ON button there was no slide on that front.

The front panel on the IdeaCentre 5i slides left or right to reveal the CD/DVD drive on the left and the power button and additional ports when moved to the left, to reveal the right side features. Very unhappy

I don't know what the problem is but Chrome and Edge are super slow and constantly freeze. I initially thought it had to do with plug ins that carried over from my settings, so I uninstalled them and basically reset everything in both browsers. No change. I've searched online and done all the things I've read online to fix the slowness but nothing has worked. I even completely reset the computer as if it was straight out of the box two times. Everything outside the internet browsers are fine. I can log into the internet browsers on my laptop and my old 8 year old desktop and I have no issues. The only new variable is this desktop. I'm past the return date so I probably have to hire someone to figure out the issue. Very irritating since I should not have to put money into a new desktop.

If possible, try connecting to the internet using the same network you are using with the IdeaCentre 5i Desktop to connect to the internet. Whether a phone, tablet or another computer, see if the internet slowness and freezing occurs with a different device when connected to the internet via the same internet connection. If it does, we recommend you check with your internet service provider. If the issue does not occur with any other device connected to your network using internet service, now be sure any software you installed on the computer is compatible with Windows 10.
