Customers regard the IdeaCentre A540's large screen size and ease of use as significant advantages, frequently praising its sleek design and responsive touchscreen. Positive feedback also highlights the generally good performance and value for the price. However, some users experienced issues with the limited number of USB ports, the quality of the camera, and occasional problems with the mouse and sleep mode functionality.

I'm loving this All-in-One computer!
It has a touch screen, but I don't use it much. After several years of using regular monitors I forget it's touch screen. At the time I also purchased an HP monitor that was the same size. I had no issue hooking up the second monitor.
I didn't use the keyboard or mouse that came with the computer. I have a wireless mouse I had set up with my old computer and a special keyboard that's split for ergonomics. Both of these were plug and play. The mouse does seem to be a little less responsive but I don't think I have the correct drivers downloaded on the computer, so I'm going to blame that on the mouse. There is no lag on the keyboard at all.
As far as the base, I've read other reviews that say it's hard to get the right spot for the phone to charge. Once you get it there it quickly charges though. What I did was find the exact spot and put sticky tabs around the phone. The tabs are tall enough that they sit flush next to the phone and puts the phone in exactly the same place every time.
The computer is fast and is perfect for work. I still haven't moved files from my old computer but plan to do that this weekend. What I like is there a program to help walk me through moving those files. I just need to take the time to do it.
All in all I really like this computer.

Got this when the Covid Pandemic started the work from home rush on equipment. This was the last one they had and the guy said Lenovo was a great computer.
Fast forward a year and I wish I didn't waste the money. The wireless charger is hard to get connected and then just as hard to keep connected. The computer will shut down every once in a while like it lost power. You have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to reboot. kind of a pain.
Do like the rechargeable keyboard but why not do the mouse the same way. Mouse is still on battery. Much better options if your not buying in a pandemic.

Overdue Upgrade

I purchased this for someone who was long overdue for an upgrade and it is phenomenal. It has 3 ways of signing in thanks to Windows Hello and that's something that plays a huge roll considering the computer this is replacing was a Gateway. The size for the price was also reasonable. A 27" AIO usually floats somewhere over 1000 but this was under that ball park and the hardware speaks volumes. Would recommend any day.

So Far, So "Okay"

I bought this all-in-one to use for school (because it was time for an upgrade to my antiquated laptop). It was pricey (over $1,000) but I decided to make the investment/commitment because I did need it for school.
First, the thing is chockful of "extras"--and I don't mean that in a good way. The first thing Lenovo tries to do after initial setup is upsell you on their extended warranty package. This is done via multiple pop-up screens and badgering to "finish registration" (along with a conveniently-placed checkmark on the screen's "Subscribe to notification" box). Lenovo also seems to be in cahoots with Windows to shove more upsells down your throat. I deliberately chose to install Office 2019 because I'm not going to let Microsoft hold my files hostage if I don't feel like paying for an Office 365 subscription for the rest of my life. That part...yeah. It sucks. I had to Google how to turn off those annoying messages as well. All I want to do is work, not get inundated with messages--especially on something I paid over $1000 to own!
Ease of use is fine, nothing to write home about. I've used the touchscreen feature perhaps a handful of times since I bought it in late August of this year, so while it's cool it wasn't what sold me on buying it. I do like that the unit is self-contained, but sometimes I very much wish I could raise and lower the monitor instead of just tilting it. If you need that feature you will have to invest in a riser for your desk.
I also wish there was a feature to at least turn off the monitor when done using the PC. It does go into sleep mode on its own after a period of time, but I would feel better if there was a monitor power button. It makes me feel "exposed", lol.
Last (and this is troubling): the PC will just "not respond" sometimes. The normal way to wake it up from sleep mode is to tap a key or click the mouse, but on 3 occasions (on a PC I bought less than 2 months ago, mind you) I have had to hard boot it to get it to respond. I'm not sure if it's one of Lenovo or Microsoft's "tactics" to force updates (and the opportunity to sell me things) but it's not a good sign for something so expensive...sigh.
The (slightly creepy) thing is that when you hard boot this PC, it automatically boots again on its own. Meaning typically, on a laptop or PC you hold down the button for a while, and it powers off. To turn it on again you must once again hold down the button. This thing? Light goes off for a few secs then BAM!--it comes back on like the terminator. Um, Lenovo: there are people who do turn their PC off from time-to-time, and we'd like to do it without unplugging the thing for fear its becoming sentient.
Overall would I buy again? Can't say "yes" at this point. But if I knew then what I know now, I would have waited and considered a laptop with a couple of nicely sized monitors.

Hi there! 1. Lenovo computers ship with just two adware programs, a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 (as part of Windows 10 operating system) and a 30-day trial of McAfee virus protection. Lenovo computers ship with one of the cleanest factory software installs within the consumer computer industry. ......
2 .You can set your screen to turn off all you have to do is adjust the power settings. To adjust power and sleep settings in Windows 10, go to Start , and select Settings > System > Power & sleep.....Under Screen, select how long you want your device to wait before turning the screen off when you're not using your device.Under Sleep, select how long you want your device to wait before going to sleep when you’re not using it. .For more power saving options, select Additional power settings to change how your device uses power..........
3. We always recommend keeping your system up to date with the latest software, bios, and driver updates from Microsoft and Lenovo. If you do not update your system regularly you may experience issues like you are describing. An updated machine is a healthy machine......
3. We do not recommend you power down your computer in this way. It is very important that you shut down your system properly. Simply turning the power off with the power switch can cause serious file system damage. We recommend shutting down the computer by clicking the Windows button > Power > Shutdown. Here is a link with more information as to why this is important https://www.thespectrum.com/story/news/local/mesquite/2018/09/25/p-c-periodicals-safest-way-computer-shutdown/1361705002/
