For those of you who have issues with your wifi, change your wifi security on your router from WPA3 to WPA2. That should work. Also, you may then want to turn on ipv6 on your router and then switch back to WPA3. That's how mine worked anyway.

I’ve seen some complaining about internet problems, I have had none!! A very good laptop for the money!! Only complaint NO backlit keys!! That does bug me but I wouldn’t chunk it for that!!

This model ships with a non-backlit, English Version, standard QWERTY keyboard, with 10-Key Numeric Pad included. It also ships with Windows 11 S-Mode, 64-bit Operating System installed. Windows 11 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. The only thing that I have noticed is that after less than three months my fingerprint is no longer reading. I cannot use this feature. The camera quality on zoom meeting is very poor--probably the worst zoom quality I have ever experienced.

When I learned that it wasn’t immediately available anywhere in the city ( needed it right away) I ended up getting the Lenovo. It’s a great laptop at a reasonable price. I love my new laptop.

Touch pad is a bit quirky. My screen cracked on a flight in my backpack. I can’t think of something that would explain it. Touch screen is annoying. Zero bezel means any touch on the edge activates the screen and windows close by mistake.

This model uses the integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 Version graphics processing, integrated within the 8-Core/16-Thread AMD Ryzen 7 5700U Processor. If you are getting less than expected performance, first, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, now check the requirements and compatibility of any software you install on your new computer. Be sure your new computer can support the software you will need to use and your workload. Wish it was a pound or two lighter but I like the size of the screen and definitely wanted 512 GB or more of memory since I travel a lot and wanted the hard shell. Wish battery life was a bit longer. Currently experiencing about 8 to 9 hours

The IdeaPad 1 15 ships with a Integrated 42Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 9 hours, depending on what the device is performing. To improve battery life, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery.
