Overall a great laptop. But I can’t stand the Microsoft setup. Encountered problems with general MS Office & printer setup. It’s not the laptop itself but Microsoft that ruins it.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the Microsoft Office 365 software that is installed as part of this Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15 Laptop, model number 82R4002PUS. The specs are good. Quality is a little lower end than I expected, the screen wobbles a bit and the laptop feels like it bends a bit when picked up certain ways. The keyboard could be a little better too, it doesn't have much give when typing. Mine definitely is not a touch screen. It does nothing when touched, and looking at the windows settings for touch screen input says there is no input to set up. So that's not what I thought I was getting into...

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15 Laptop, model number 82R4002PUS. This IdeaPad 1 15 configuration ships with a Integrated 42Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 9 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

this review is from a not tech-savvy buyer and light computer user so not sure it'll be reliable for the verification of deep performance data. Battery life, speed and display was rated as per the experience so far, but neither was tested. I can say this laptop fulfilled what I wanted (although i would've swapped touchscreen feature for a backlight keyboard, in a beat). It was a bit pricey for my budget but it's a Lenovo with great specs (for what my search showed ) Because although i researched, it was a bit of impulse purchase, i got to admit it's growing in me with it's surprisingly petit size and lightweight. I came from a 17.3" screen 8 yr old heavy unit, to a great contrast in weight, size and performance of this Lenovo 15.6" unit. I think Lenovo makes the most out of the minimal top part surface to come out with 15.6". Nice machine! I was able to set up quick with no effort besides opting to get out of S mode. It's got 15months of free Microsoft office offer and 6 months of anti virus protection which i haven't decided to start taking advantage of yet. Also thank you to Best Buy customer service who approved a little price adjustment to my initial purchase.

Just to be clear, I purchased this laptop open-box and instead received the Lenovo - Yoga 7i 2-in-1 14" Laptop. Best buys error in giving me the wrong laptop. Just 3 weeks in and the screen is popping off the bezel, this is probably caused by the hinge failing and protruding the screen out of the bezel. Major design flaw and quality control, laptop is almost rendered useless. If I continue using as per other reviews, soon the hinge will break the screen. I should have listened to the other reviewers and steered clear of this brand. Lesson learned!

Great little laptop so far. Especially for the price. It works excellent as a work/personal computer. Lightweight, seems rugged enough, good battery life. It's very snappy and responsive when navigating all the software I've ran on it so far. And it seems to do fine with multiple apps running. I didn't think i would use the touchscreen much. But now that I'm used to it, I find myself trying to click icons on my desktop at work sometimes lol. I'm not much of a gamer personally, but my son installed Ultrakill (I think) on it, and it runs at 60fps with no trouble. Granted, that's not a high demand game. But most people looking at this laptop aren't looking for a gaming pc anyway. But some might like to do a little gaming from time to time. And this laptop seems fine for that. All in all, I'm very pleased. Just an excellent value in this laptop. Would definitely recommend.

Hello! Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Lenovo laptop I've been using. Overall, it's been awesome, but there's one small hiccup. Here's the scoop. Performance-wise, this laptop rocks! It handles everything like a champ—multitasking, demanding tasks, gaming and coding (to some extent). No complaints there, it's reliable and gets the job done. The display is impressive. Colors are vibrant, and everything looks sharp. Movies, work, most casual video games, you name it—the visuals are top-notch. Eye candy all the way! Battery life is decent, lasting me through most of the day. Now, let's address the bump in the road. Durability. Sadly, I dropped it once, and it left some scratches and wear marks on the back. It's a bummer, but it's only cosmetic. Thankfully, it hasn't affected performance. The keyboard is comfortable, and the touchpad is responsive. Navigation is smooth, and all the necessary ports are there. Wi-Fi connectivity is solid too. To sum it up, the Lenovo laptop delivers great performance with an impressive display. The only downside is the minor durability issue from a drop. But hey, it still gets the job done, and if you're careful, it's definitely worth considering.

Got this up and running right out of the box. It's fast, has good performance, efficient and has a really good, responsive touch screen. It can handle multiple tasks at once without slowing down. the battery power is good. I've found that if you use economy mode and the battery saver function, the battery tends to last much longer if not using these modes. It handles productivity tasks and apps pretty well. My only problem is...I wish it had a backlit keyboard. I like gaming, and so far the games I've played on this laptop have worked quite well, although there are games I know this machine can't handle. A backlit keyboard would've made this a 5 star rating for me. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

One of the most amazing computers in our time. As a computer tech I can say for videos and editing and streaming live this hands down is best. I'll say this I loved intel but Ryzen 7 5700U is all you need for anything far as a laptop goes. I mean anything!! Now there is a Ryzen 9! I'm like for what?? Unless you have a business that has to run I don't know 500 things at one time that's overkill. Ryzen 7 is like having 16 cores which is called threads in one! Ryzen 9 is like having 32 cores in one!! All in a compact laptop computer. Now Intel has the I7 11th generation and it's practically new and it still can't handle Ryzen 7 from value of money, gaming, and performance. I do video editing and streaming and video walls the whole work and I do multiple task and it still does not stop are slow down. If and I say if anything new comes out in which besides the Ryzen 9 I will never buy another computer because there is nothing that you can buy that will be able to use just what the Ryzen 7 does let alone Ryzen 9. Throw what you want at it and it won't budge. There is a 12th generation I7 that comes really close to AMD Ryzen and works very well the I7 12th generation is a beast but a with a few bugs as intel just doesn't work flawless like AMD. AMD has changed the game and if you ask me AMD win for fluid and ease of use and price range. Don't get me wrong that i7 12th generation holds the heavy weight champ as of now for the speed and multi-tasking. But they have to get out kinks. But going toe to toe is the AMD Ryzen 9 and close very close Ryzen 7 with a good price for almost the same depending on your needs. This laptop has everything except I would have love to have at least 3 USB slots with 3.0 or 3.1 and above but we have 1 of the 2.0 and 1 of the 3.0 and a type C slot. I use the type C in which a lot of people use it with a hub to have multiple slots added because you will need a type C as it's faster than any USB period. A long time ago memory was a big deal because processors were not great and fast as they are now. 12gb is more than enough because of the processor in this computer now it can go to 16 GB if you want to max it out but it's bad enough already so that's over kill. You have a touch screen also makes it another winner. And I found it on sale for $399 here I was like what?? Bought it fast!! Screen is clear but not the top of line screen like ASUS with crystal clear like 4k. But who needs 4k on a laptop?? It's an amazing screen for viewing no complaints here. For the price and for what you getting hands down the best computer out there. I will never buy another Intel I have had granted it was a older intel but I had 32 GB of memory and i7 older generation but it can't and will not even beat 1 thread on this AMD!! LOL I am not kidding.
