Posted .This Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15 laptop, model number 82R4002PUS, ships with Windows 11 S-Mode, 64-bit Operating System installed. Windows 11 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. We recommend you check with your printer manufacturer's web site for the requirements and compatibility of your specific printer model with Windows 11 S-Mode, 64-bit Operating System. You may need to install drivers to run your printer that are not compatible with Windows 11 S-Mode. In that case, you will need to switch out of S-Mode to Windows 11 Home Operating System. A laptop that freezes when PowerPoint is open...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, not a fan at all. There are some frustrations that may not be entirely fair to put solely on this specific laptop. Setting up is a very frustrating experience as it must be connected to a network first, but (as others have mentioned) there is a bug that will prevent connection if you're not on an open/public network. Fun. The new Windows format is awful, but again, that's not entirely fair to throw solely at this product. But what IS fair to complain about and what really shocked me is that this laptop (only four days old) already froze on me. Apparently the Ryzen 7 and the 12GB memory isn't quite enough to handle two open PowerPoints and Mozilla with six tabs open. Nope, that brought the thing to a screeching halt with zero response to any actions that eventually required a full power cycle. I have a beat-up Dell that has seen abuse over several years and has far less impressive specs, I know for fact that it wouldn't experience the same difficulty and it really does surprise me that the laptop that I got as my intended "work" computer can't even handle a few open tabs and office apps. (I'm genuinely half wondering if I got handed a refurb or something slipped through the cracks.) I work with large datasets and was hoping for this guy to carry some weight in things like R and Stata. Now I'm not even sure it can handle opening Excel to do a cursory view of the data. Will keep testing it out over the next few days, but I'm anticipating a return and will - as of right now - advise that the buyer beware. If things improve, I'll update the review.

Additionally, even if you have switched out of S-Mode for Windows 11 Home, if you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. Posted .We are sorry to hear that you have experienced an issue with your Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15. Regarding the touchpad issues, first, determine if the model Lenovo you have has a touchpad toggle button mapped on your function row of keys at the top of the keyboard. This key should have a symbol that appears as a depiction of a touchpad with a diagonal line through it. If you have this button, try pressing it or pressing it while holding the function (Fn) key. If this does not resolve your issue, next you can adjust the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom of your Windows 11 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Making the touchpad less sensitive may correct the issues you have experienced. If your issue persists, we recommend contacting Lenovo Tech Support at this number and give the representative information on any troubleshooting steps you have tried: 877-453-6686.

high performing components defeated by flimsiness
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really wanted to like this laptop, but the construction was flimsy and the keyboard was awkward (could have dealt with the small-sized keys, but not when combined with the strange texture of the keys). Display was impressive, though. Ultimately, I returned it.

Would not connect to internet. Poor customer servi
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The specs look good. The delivery was fine. The computer would not connect to WiFi. I spent well over an hour chatting with Lenovo support to no avail. They were useless and eventually ended the session while I was still trying the “solutions” they suggested. I ended up returning it and getting an HP which connected without issue and is running fine.

My Review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is really great, it loads pretty fast, has a beautiful screen, and was easy to set up and use. The keyboard sounds nice ( at least to me ) , the screen's brightness is nice, it doesn't weight that much, and i like how the camera has a privacy filter thing. However, sometimes when scrolling or playing a video, the visuals felt or looked ''choppy''. This is just a minor inconvenience though, it might just be my laptop and it doesn't bother me at all. It also rarely occurs. The only problem that I really have with this laptop is the battery life and the camera.I haven't checked how long the battery life exactly is, but it drained fast. But for me it also wasnt too big of a problem since it charges really fast. The camera was just, ehhh, low quality, but it'll get the job done. For you gamers, i've really only tried roblox and minecraft but they run pretty well at higher settings. only issue here is that the controls feel choppy. Forgot to mention this but I love how the fan is silent, I cant hear it unless the room is eerily quiet. For the price, this laptop is really good, and I'll recommend this to anyone looking for a good budget laptop. Again, the only problems about this laptop is the battery life ( but it can still charge fast ), and the camera. Besides that, no complaints.

If there is no incompatible software installed but the issues persist, now check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates".
