Set up understanding how to navigate is very easy. Color is excellent. Downside, the key board is detached, and the kickstand is not stable enough. This is a big problem for kids, so I wouldn’t recommend for a child. I returned and bought my grandson the Lenovo Flex at a similar price and he is having zero problems using it and finding what he needs. He is also watching his cartoons using my hotspot which is a bonus for long car rides

I really enjoy how this interacts with my pixel phone and that I get the benefits of a tablet and a laptop while still being able to access Linux and android apps all in one. If this took a TF card, it would be amazing. But you can still add external storage through USB c and an external card although it's limited.

I purchased the original Duet 2 when it first came out and have been using it for media consumption since. Chrome OS with Android apps is the perfect tablet for me, but the system was always a bit sluggish. This new model is a wonderful upgrade. The OLED screen is crisp and the larger size makes quite a difference. I don't use the keyboard much, just for twitter and the occasional email - but the new keyboard has more key travel and feels better. It's worth the price to upgrade.

A 2-in-1 that is first a TABLET, not a laptop.

I absolutely love this thing. After an extremely long search (and I've been a paid IT professional for over 20 years), I can't believe how much I like this tablet that doubles as a laptop. I've only used a Chromebook a few times, tend to be a Windows person. However, I do use Gmail and youtube a lot, and have previously used or bought dozens of laptops and dozens of tablets. But, most of those tablets were Kindle Fires. I have finally given up on using the Kindle Fire. I just can't stand the Silk Browser, not having access to my email accounts, or a decent app store. If anything, the Amazon app store is worse now than it was five years ago! I also wanted a larger form factor. And here's the thing, I have a 13" 2-in-1 laptop. But, if I want to use the generous 13" screen to read a book in color, it's just too dang heavy. I realized why this thing works SO much better. (I already tried using it last night in bed and it was awesome!) It's because the design of this is as a TABLET first, to compete with Samsung and Apple, with their Tabs and Ipads, as opposed to being a laptop to compete with the Apple Air. The removable keyboard and stand make it SO very versatile. It's a bit over a lb when your remove those (which also double as case covers) and some may find it heavy, but if you're used to a 10" tablet for reading, this isn't going to break your arm. I want to emphasize this as it's not obvious - the BACK of the tablet - with the stand - is attached by clever magnets, and can be removed, which makes the tablet, sans front/back covers - a lot lighter. The entire combination weighs 2.2 lbs - but without the covers, it's right at 25 oz. I LOVE the way the two parts detach, and from what I can find, is pretty unique. Even other Lenova products don't have this option and follow the more typical MS Surface style, where the backflap just attaches to the tablet itself. This comes with a zippy processor and 8GB of RAM and it SHOWS. It's extremely fast, and absolutely worth the every penny (and it helps that I was able to get it on sale, of course). Thing is, once you get above 10" tablets, the prices just shoot through the roof. Every single one retails for over $500. So, yes, at just under that and at 13" I consider this a steal. And the screen! OLED, and wow can you tell. The speakers are surprisingly good as well. I don't plan on using them as much, but it is really cool to be able to walk around watching something and have the speakers on, and it just works. Also, I'm a big OneDrive user (I pay for the MS365 account, so have 1TB of space vs. the free 13GB or whatever that GoogleDrive has) - and the install was easy, and is an easy way for me to move files between my PC and this device, and always have stuff available. My one issue with it - is for some reason, Onenote, which works fine on my android phone, does not work on this device, which has an Android/Linux back-end as well, which tells me that Google wants to force the useage of their products - just like Amazon does on their Fires. That's a disappointment, but I can live with it, as I can still use it on the browser version. However, I'm betting that A Samsung wouldn't have that issue, but it's not worth me spending an extra $200-$700 for that! The one nod I'd give Samsung would be on their Tab S7 FE - 12.4" 128GB - it's running an Android OS, which means it can use the android version of Microsoft products. But, most critics/reviewers agree that the Chrome OS is generally better on tablets as it was designed with tablets in mind, where Android was designed with Phones in mind. Also, the screen on the Samsung as more pixels, but it is also an inch smaller. Quite honestly, 4k is wasted on anything smaller than a computer monitor, and most video isn't even created at 4k anyway. The OLED screen you get with this is gorgeous. And you get the cover and keyboard that you'd spend an extra $80+ for for the Samsung as well. They are similar in weight - the Lenova has about 3 extra ounces when you remove the back and front covers - but you're getting an extra inch of screen, and 2 GB of RAM as well. So, in summary, if you want the very best, largish screened tablet out there, you can spend $800-$1100 and get a top end Samsung or, if you really like throwing money at things, an Apple. The Surface is also a decent option, runs windows, and is pricey. If you want the best bang for your buck, and in a lot of ways, the widest range of features, more RAM, and screensize - you'll get this puppy for half the price. PS. If you want/need a laptop, get a laptop. If you want a versatile tablet, be sure to focus on getting a TABLET. It's very easy to be distracted by the very numerous 2-in-1 combos, particularly since the retailers search engines throw everything in the mix. Example: This is listed as a Chromebook. It's called the "Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5". Lenovo also sells the "Lenovo - Ideapad Windows Duet 5i", and one would likely think it's the same thing, just with Windows and an Intel processor, and you'd be mostly right. Except, that it's a Surface Knock-off, and the back cover doesn't detach, which means, among other things, the main tablet will be heavier. And then there's the "Lenovo - Ideapad 1 15.6" - which is a nifty little thing with an even larger screen! Yet, it's a straight-up laptop. So, with all the various models and such out there, definitely have an idea of what it is you want out of the purchase, and be careful of the search engines - they can slip in some things that will fool you - too many options! Good luck!

Huge disappointment. I was eagerly waiting for this product to be released and it arrived today. Hardware is nice, it's about as fast as a 2018-era M3 processor. Screen gets super bright, looks great, but the flashing (PWM) is unbearable. I honestly have a headache and am dizzy after ~15 minutes of use. And 1080p? Do not get less than 12", you will see individual pixels. It just looks fuzzy and artifacty like an old junk TN 1366x768 screen. It's OLED and beautiful, but it falls apart when you actually use it. The disappointment is compounded by the fact that it's a tablet, which encourages close-up use (reading, etc) that's really tiring on your eyes due to the low DPI and super bad PWM at all levels of brightness. Speakers are tinny, have zero bass, and sound very cheap. Really bad, actually, which is shocking since Lenovo bothered to put 4 of them in this machine. Keyboard is crisp, full size, but not backlit. There is a stylus cutout on the back of the cover, but no stylus (lol, okay). Like the HP 11", this new crop of exciting-on-paper devices are disappointing and not worth $599. I had a bunch of gift cards and got it down to $350 and I'm still returning it... The Snapdragon was plenty fast, even running native Linux apps. But that screen and those speakers...why, Lenovo? Unfortunate.

Bought this Chromebook to strictly use as a media consumption machine. The OLED display is great for watching videos. Speaker are just OK, but good enough to use at home. The best thing about it is the battery life. I'm getting 16 hours+, which is more than enough for an international flight. The only negative I can see is the processor is a little slow when loading certain websites. It is a good trade-off for that wonderful battery life.
