Customers regard the IdeaPad Duet Chromebook favorably, particularly praising its ease of use, included keyboard, and excellent battery life. The device's value for the price and compact size are also frequently cited as positive aspects. While some users mention limitations in the amount of RAM and the sound quality of the speakers, the overall user experience appears to be quite positive.

This little tablet has far exceed my expectations. I bought it to replace an old iPad. I initially wanted a new iPad but they cost $700+. The Duet is only 1 inch smaller but has the same storage and other tablet functionality. Plus, the Duet also comes with a cover and keyboard, which were hundreds of dollars more for the iPad. I have a Pixel 5 and the Duet syncs with it and my Google account seamlessly. The keyboard is small, especially the keys on the far right side. But, typing is not too bad. I do some mobile gaming and the processor is more than capable to keep up with the games I play. I connect a PS4 controller with no difficulties. All-in-all, this is a steal for the price and I highly recommend the Duet.

I am comparing the use of this Chromebook to my Fire HD 10 (2019 version).
The plus for this Chromebook is none of the amazon apps that are loaded onto the Fire HD. The screen is nice and bright (400 nits) and 1080p IPS screen. Battery life comparable to Fire HD (my use). With the Chromebook, I have to say a great plus was being able to sync my phone to tablet for text messaging on the tablet. Another plus is the 4 GB of RAM as compared to 2 GB RAM on the Fire HD.
1) I am not a techie but I purchased this item for the expanded use of Linux Debian software for flexibility. Sadly right now, the Linux side of it cannot be used in Tablet form because there is no on-screen keyboard use. You have to have the keyboard connected.
2) Weight/Screen protection, the Fire HD is definitely lighter and I actually preferred the Fire HD with one of those vinyl stands and screen protector when you flip the stand closed. I saw a review for the Chromebook where the person stated that you need a screen protector because if you close the Chromebook with the keyboard as a screen protector, it is a magnetic closure which allows the keyboard to slide back and forth while closed. I definitely agree that you should get a screen protector.
3) Storage, I have to admit, being able to add a micro sd card to the Fire HD is a big plus for expanded storage. Maybe Lenovo will add that with the next version.
Price point: To be honest I only paid $ 79.00 for my Fire HD (with old Fire trade in). I appreciate Best Buy letting me return the Chromebook. I thought about it and for mobility and use, the Fire HD meets my needs. I think Lenovo could really make a big bang if they created a 12 inch Chromebook/Tablet with micro sd card slot and work with the Google/Linux community on getting the touch screen/on-screen keyboard working.
Of course with my Fire HD tablet I installed the GApps so I could use the Google Play Store to install apps.

For the price this is a great tablet in the form factor made popular by Microsoft.
The pluses:
Compact, and complete with keyboard, cover, and stand.
Long battery life.
Like all Chrome devices, easy to factory restore.
Modest price - though it went on sale for $50 less after my return period ended.
A very colorful screen within the price backet.
The not so great:
The stand is separate. It would have been better if it was integral to the tablet.
A bit undersized. It would have been great to have it in the 11 into to 12 inch form factor. Especially now that most phones have screens that aren't much smaller.

The Chromebook Duet is fun. Small enough to toss into any bag you happen to be packing. 128 Gb memory is substantially more than most Chromebook, enough to run Linux comfortably, along with a number of Android apps. Screen is bright and clear; keyboard is surprisingly good, despite its small size. Only problem I have with it is its relatively sluggish performance, and that is hardly a problem given what I tend to use it for - writing, browsing, and an occasional trip into Linux to use Gimp. But I wouldn't want to use it as my primary tool for development or heavy design work. It's fun!

Bought this for 3rd grade daughter for remote learning and fun. She's a seasoned Android tablet user and this Chromebook with keyboard and Lenovo USI stylus I got her separately is awesome. Migrating all her apps from her tablet was automatic. The speed of this was unexpected (pleasant surprise) and storage capacity should be sufficient for a while. I shared our Office 365 on this device so we downloaded the Android OS version of Office - really easy and she was able to get the hang of the programs pretty quickly. Looking to get USB-C dock so we can hook up external monitor for when she is working on schoolwork at her desk. So far, so great!

Definitely recommend! I am super pleased with this tablet! It has every feature I was looking for not just in a tablet, but in a laptop, and I am thoroughly impressed with the specs so far. I can run all of my favorite apps including Microsoft Office, Netflix, and Spotify with ease. The picture is crisp and bright, and sound quality is good. The tablet itself is slim and beautiful. All of the separate pieces of this device snap together perfectly. The kickstand and keyboard pieces both attach magnetically and appear very well made. I love the feel/material of this tablet and its components. This device also came nearly fully charged so from unboxing to use it took just about five minutes to set up - couldn’t be easier! Battery life appears to be good so far. So, so happy with this purchase and I’m so grateful I found this particular tablet to suit my needs. Great buy! Amazing value. I almost spent twice the money to purchase another device of a similar quality, and I am thrilled I took a chance and went with this product instead.

Pros:
- pleasant looking design
- large screen
- easy to switch from tablet to laptop
- Chrome OS comes pre-installed
- great battery life
- easy setup
Cons:
- keyboard doesn’t always work
- not compatible with Zoom
- no headphone jack(but comes with an adapter)
- no home button
Overall it’s a good tablet, but I really needed Zoom, which is why I got it in the first place. It makes me sad to return it because I really do love everything else. I saw other reviewers using it for online learning so I assumed it would be Zoom compatible, my mistake.

Really impressed with this package! The kids love it for their home school needs. It's nice and small, making it easy for them to pack and travel as we are on the road very frequently due to my work requirements. Battery easily lasts all day and then some, despite the kids using them actively for 4-6 hours a day for their schooling. As a Chromebook, I can manage the devices using FamilyLink to approve and control the apps that they can use on the device. I do wish there were a few more ports, however, to support peripherals or headphones without the extra dongle.

The display is very clear and vivid, it is easy to use and my daughter is really enjoying it. It was easy to setup with my google family link app so I can monitor what my child is doing on her tablet at home while I’m at work. It was really convenient that the keyboard came with it, although my daughter prefers using the touch screen. The only thing that didn’t work out was that Minecraft & Minecraft mini games will not work on it I’ve installed and removed 3 so far. However she is still enjoying Roblox so not too much complaint.

I like this tablet a lot. it does everything I wanted/needed it to do. I like to play games and it was fast not sluggish, it is easy to navigate. My problem came with the keyboard, I really wanted the tablet only but decided to give it a try with the keyboard. I have short stubby fingers and I had trouble using the keyboard. I need a keyboard with raised keys so I can navigate it with ease and I could not do that with this one. I had to take it back and get one without the keyboard. I gave it 5 stars because the problem was with me and not the Lenovo. It is a good product.
