Love my duet
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my duet chromebook. It's very convenient for me to use in the go. From streaming movies, playing games or writing a paper it gets the job done. I also share my chromebook with my children for their school work and they love using this device too. The removable keyboard is easy to hook up, my favorite feature is the back magnetic stand. I use it a lot, I've been looking online to purchase another magnetic back piece like this one with no luck...if anyone knows where I can purchase one that would be great.

Great Value at $160!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I managed to snag this little Chromebook on open box excellent for about $160. That's a tremendous value right there. It works like an android tablet without the keyboard and switches to a Chrome OS UI with the keyboard. I haven't had any issues with my use it's mainly been used as a college note taking and reading device. The keyboard feels nice as expected of Lenovo. The 128GB SSD is nice to see especially when Chromebooks have EMMC storage or a small capacity.

Great value!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My four year old android tablet is not operating smoothly and it seems to be left behind in android 7.0. The Lenovo Duet will be updated into 2028, it is lighter than my old android, and it comes with a decent keyboard and kick stand. So far, I love it. Don't buy it for college or business use, it is not robust enough. Get it for watching videos in bed or on the sofa; email, social media and entertainment work well. Its' one pound weight is excellent with a reassuring build quality. The screen quality is bright and the full hd ips panel is easy on the eyes.

Not an iPad, but good for what it can do
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace my aging Chromebook. After some time with it, there are a few pros and cons about this product that prevent me from giving it a higher rating. Pros: 1)I like the design. It reminds me of a Microsoft Surface. 2)It's priced very competitively. 3)Comes with all the accessories that would normally be sold separately, such as the keyboard and stylus. Cons: 1)The processor is below average in my opinion. There are times where it feels very quick, but there are stutters every now and then (where the table feels like it needs a moment to think). 2)Chome OS needs a little more polish. While there isn't really a difference (in my opinion) between Android or Chrome OS, I feel that this product has an issue switching between laptop and tablet modes. 3)Not an iPad or Surface. When considering this product, please remember that this is NOT an iPad or Microsoft Surface. While there are similarities in the design, the abilities can vastly differ especially in the App markets. A perfect example is Facetime, which isn't available on this device. Again, this device is still very capable of what I need it for and its price point. When considering this product, I would recommend evaluating your expectations as this may have a few disappointments.

Impressed
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely impressed with this thing. It's very smooth, hasn't lagged for me at all. I like that it runs Android apps as well as being a Chromebook; gives it quite a bit more flexibility. The only things I would change if given the option: 1. I would like to see the kickstand backing be more of an actual case (it's really just a magnetic cover that sticks to the back of the tablet) to better protect it when carrying it around in tablet mode. I am sure manufacturers will start coming out for cases for this soon though. 2. It would also be nice to have the connection between the keyboard and tablet be a little more "secure." Like, to be able to hold the weight of the tablet and keep it upright without a kickstand). But the keyboard connects magnetically and it hasn't fallen off yet, at least on a desk or tabletop. I don't think it would work very well in your lap for this reason. All in all, a nice tablet/Chromebook convertible. Definitely like it. Actually ordered another one for my husband now.

Awesome Value for Chromebook
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you don't need OS X or Windows, you can't beat this Chromebook device. You can use it with a keyboard (which has a nice feel) for a desktop experience or separate it out as a lightweight tablet. The screen is 1080p with nice colors and brightness. Is it super-bright? No, but excellent for indoor use. Are the speakers loud? No, but loud enough and clear enough. It comes with an adapter if you want to plugin headphones or you can go bluetooth. All around a simple quality made device that is easy to use for web browsing or even running Linux apps.

Affordable Chrome Tablet WITH a keyboard.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a number of Android tablets in the last several years. Ever since Chromebooks gained Android app support, I have been waiting for a true Chrome Tablet. Android tablets quickly become "orphans" for software updates, but Chromebooks should get many years of OS updates. The 128 GB of on board memory is definitely worth the $20 price difference. This device does what I've wanted in my (so far) limited time with it. The screen is bright and crisp, the keyboard works well. The magnetic coupling for the keyboard is fast and easy, strong enough to hold, but not hard to quickly uncouple. Accessories I have purchased so far - Bluetooth mouse, a Universal Stylus, a USB-C hub that includes Power Delivery, SD and Micro SD slots, and two USB 3.0 "A" ports. I have a membrane screen protector on the way. Things I'd like to see on the device: A second USB-C port, a SD or Micro SD card slot, a headphone jack, a back-lit keyboard, and extra ports in the keyboard. Accessories I'd like to see someone make: A glass screen protector, and a hard/bumper case that would still allow the keyboard to attach.

nice surprise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an impulse purchase for me. It was no mistake but an inspired choice. I am really very impressed with this little guy. It is a quality build. The Duet feels good in my hands. The battery life per charge is very good and the software is very responsive. Both the touchscreen and detachable keyboard work well. I purchased the Duet to learn about Chromebooks and I am learning. It has one USB-C port for charging and every hing else. I bought an adapter to type-A connections for less than $2 and I have not used it yet. .

What a steal!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not perfect, but I'm thoroughly impressed. I purchased this Duet and another Chromebook at the same time; returned the full sized touch screen Chromebook in favor of the Duet. It is so compact and easy to take anywhere. It even fits in my purse. I am finding it very fast and have had no trouble with having oodles of tabs open (20+) at a time. It turns on very very quickly; it's practically instantaneous. The cover is practical and clever. The keyboard itself is less than ideal for me and I would say this is the biggest drawback I have found. I am an old-fashioned two-handed typist and I find that I am hitting wrong keys much too frequently. If you are a 'hunt and peck' typist I don't think you will have any problem with this keyboard. The camera is not great. My iPhone takes a much much better picture/video. But, I wasn't planning on taking the Duet on safari so no big deal. This is the 1st Chromebook I have had. I was worried about making the transition since I am used to working with a full Microsoft Office suite. But, so far, no problems! Using cloud storage and Microsoft app, it's simple and productive. Overall, I would absolutely buy this again. It is a bargain price for fast and convenient solution.

||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has become my every-day computer. Good value for the money, and convenient to use and take with you. Lightweight makes it easy to hold in your hands while on the couch for hours But, remember, it is a inexpensive computer, that is NOT very powerful. It will occassionally freeze up, necessitating a reboot. Highest resolution is 1080p. For everyday use (watching YouTube, YouTubeTV, going online, getting email, etc, it is very nice

Great Chromebook for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I've been computing on Windows forever and it is a necessity in any business. While it works well, I do get tired of the constant updates, crashes, freezes from RAM getting eaten up, etc. This is my 1st Chromebook (if you don't count the one I bought for my daughter) and I love it. Starts up from off in about 6 seconds, runs android apps, is a tablet but comes with a keyboard, all for $300. The system updates happen behind the scenes and never interrupts your computing needs. You can use google docs and sheets that are compatible with Microsoft office which is what most home computers would use. For what I need...it fits the bill. Now for the negatives. Running on chrome, it's not compatible with a lot 3rd party programs you're used to on windows. Video and image editing comes to mind. While there are apps for that, it won't be the fully fleshed out program you may be used to. In terms of hardware, I'm fine with the size of the screen and keyboard...but 2 things could be improved. Increase the scant 4 gigs of RAM and increase the number of ports (only 1 USBC). Lack of RAM will give you slow down with many windows open and 1 port is limiting though I did buy a hub to increase the ports. Conclusion: do some research on chrome before purchasing. There's a lot that you can't do on it when comparing to Windows but if all you need is the use of a word and data processing, email checking, app playing, web browsing tablet with a keyboard...this is the best choice for the price of entry.

Exceeds Expectations
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With an ARM processor, I had low expectations for the Duet. In fact, its performance has far exceeded them. For reasons unknown, it loads Gmail (web version) faster than any other device in my household, including a HP Chromebook 13 G1 and a 2019 iMac. This is not a "do it all" Chromebook, but its small size, light weight, and incredible battery life make it an excellent travel device. Battery life is so good that "battery anxiety" has been banished. With intermittent use, after ~14 hours, it has never showed less than 30%/4 hours remaining. Speakers are better than expected, although I usually use Bluetooth earbuds with any laptop. The screen is bright and sharp. The keyboard has decent travel and the trackpad is responsive. Keys are small and close together, necessitated by the small size, but it's still usable, although I wouldn't want to write a book on it. The only issue is the same as for the Google Pixel Slate: floppy keyboard to screen connection. The magnets are strong enough, but the flexible hinge makes laptop usage awkward. I bought this as a Chromebook first, tablet second, and its portability make it a good fit for my use case.

Solid value Chromebook
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product. The provided detachable keyboard was very impressive. The screen is bright and the Chrome OS is super intuitive and easy to set up. I will say, make sure the Chrome OS will work for you. In the end I had to return it due to some compatibility issues I had with Adobe. Adobe DC (used to edit PDFs) does not support Chrome OS and found that the OS wouldn't quite work for what I needed it for. Apart from that this is a great little tablet/Chromebook for a great price.

Great little Chromebook
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little machine. Got 2 for the kids around Christmas time. They use them to practice typing for school and tablets for play. They are what they are, slightly cheaper Chromebooks that are capable for basic everyday use. Battery charge last a fair amount of time. Have had no issues with them going on a few months of use. The keyboard is detachable and charge ports are located on both sides of the tablet portion.

Amazing value, great portability
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It would be hard to find a better value in Chromebooks today. With 128 GB of RAM, 10-hour battery life, great build construction, and updates for eight whole years, it's a pretty amazing package and I'm loving it so far. I also love that it can run Android apps and Linux apps. There's definitely a reason why most security experts carry Chromebooks... They're pretty much the most secure thing that you can use.

Great product for the price, good display
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price: very reasonable. Build quality: Surprisingly good for the price. Performance: It has only 4gb of ram and a not-so-fast processor. Sometimes when streaming videos, the touch becomes less responsive. Still, I would give it 8/10 for performance- browsing, watching videos, google doc etc. The display is good too. Cons: Aftermarket case is non-existent. The only one available om amazon does not support the keyboard.
