High quality tablet for affordable price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very impressed with this tablet, especially for the price. The screen size and quality is great, it's easy to set up, and perfect for browsing and watching videos. Incredible that it comes with a keyboard - some small keys but I think it'll be easy to get used to. The only odd thing I've noticed so far is the power and volume buttons can be tricky to find and push. But overall highly recommend!!

Great Chromebook Platform
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a replacement for my Kindle but it does so much more. It is now my mobile platform for work. In addition to all my Office 365 products working between all my platforms, the small size hits into which ever backpack I am using at the time. With this device, I can now take a computer to the pickleball court when giving lessons and either video the student for instruction or show them You Tube videos to explain a difficult concept. It has plenty of battery life for all day use.

Excellent iPad alternative
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using a Nexus 7 (2013) for a couple years for casual use, but it no longer gets updates and was getting unbearably sluggish. I've looked at new tablets including an iPad, Surface Go, and Android tablets from Samsung and Huawei. The iPad seemed like the most polished option, but I'm too invested in the Google ecosystem and I'm not too fond of the iOS UI. When the Lenovo Duet Chromebook was announced in early 2020, I was excited because Google made great strides in making Chrome OS usable for tablets. In addition, Chrome OS supports Android apps, so I wouldn't be missing a thing after parting ways with my Nexus 7. I purchased this with full intentions of using it as a casual-use tablet. Because of that, I use it without the keyboard. From the past two or so weeks of usage, I have mostly positive feelings about it. The build quality is fantastic for the price. Metal construction and a USB C port. The display is a nice size for casual use and the resolution, color, etc. are pretty good. I actually prefer an aspect ratio that's a bit less narrow, but it's still alright. The battery surprisingly lasts for quite some time. The UI took a bit getting used to. Gestures are different from Android (but still usable) and I'm not used to having to close apps in the background. I'm more used to just using and forgetting about apps, but the OS was really designed to be a desktop OS in the first place. There is a bit of occasional lag, but the OS is overall very responsive. Android apps are mostly good on Chrome OS, but there are some nitpicks. There are some apps that will jarringly force you into portrait mode. In addition, a good amount of apps are designed for phones, so you will get a lot of unused space between buttons and other elements. I try to use progressive web apps (PWA) whenever possible, but overall, Android apps are mostly usable. Putting things together, if you are looking into a casual use tablet that isn't an iPad, I highly recommend picking one of these up.

Nice Chromebook but Lacking Tablet Features
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet that is stuck with Android 7 and no longer compatible with some apps. I was also hoping to be able to use it for travel instead of my heavier laptop computer, thus replacing two devices with one. Since this was advertised as supporting Google Play Store apps, it seemed to fit the bill as a replacement for the tablet as well as being able to do most of what I use a laptop for when traveling. It was easy to set up and I liked the touch screen and its attachment to the keyboard and stand. The keyboard and Chromebook functions worked well I was able to install my favorite Play Store navigation app but was disappointed to discover that the app didn't work because this device has no GPS hardware. My overall assessment is that this is a very nice device if what you want is a Chromebook to use as a light weight replacement for most laptop functions, but as a tablet its lack of GPS makes it much less desirable. I didn't check to see what other standard tablet hardware may also be missing, like accelerometers, compass, etc. If those are not needed, this could be a great dual function product. I ended up returning it and replacing it with a Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite plus a 3rd party magnetic keyboard case. So far, that combination seems to be able to do everything I need.

exactly what i've been looking for
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.received this item today and after waiting forever haha (i pre-ordered it) and absolutely love it... this is my fourth Chromebook in the last ten years-- i had two Samsungs that i loved and eventually gave away to friends, and i still own an Acer 15" that continues to perform impeccably, but i needed something that i could carry around with me on business as well as classes (those Samsungs were 11.5")... i've owned MacBook Airs and also own an Acer Windows machine, but since i switched to ChromeOS i haven't looked back... everything is perfect and works and makes sense with this machine: size, comfort, and the options it gives me: tablet and laptop, in a size that works for me... no-- this isn't going to be my number one machine-- i have an Acer Chromebox 3 desktop for that, but this is currently my new favorite when it comes to casual use whenever i am not at my desk... right out of the box, i turned it on, and within a minute i was logged into my account and Chrome was downloading its newest version (it took 4 minutes)... i knew i was right for waiting for this after putting off buying a 2-in-1 after i noticed this gem back in January... even reading all the speculative reviews did not throw me off-- you know the ones: where all the tech people feel the need to write about the different specs and how they aren't "the best ever"... but for $300 this thing will do exactly what i want: work in Chrome, have access to all of my documents, apps, and the bonus of taking handwritten notes... the touchpad is great, the keyboard is great, the screen is great, the kickstand is great... and all for $300!!! i do not play games so who cares about that? i have all my streaming services just in case... it came with the headphone jack adapter... and just in case, i also ordered an SD card, mini SD card, and USB combo adapter... one never knows and it wasn't any skin off my back to get it... i could not be happier...

Great Chromebook... Period!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have noticed that before this tablet shipped, a lot of reviewers who were singing its praises would invariably finish their statements with the phrase "for a tablet". Let me assure you that as an avid Chromebook user (I actually prefer the platform to my Windows laptop for running my writing business), I have found the Duet to be not only one of the best tablets that I have owned, but it has turned out to be an excellent laptop, as well. Although not a powerhouse (but honestly, how many of us using the Chromebook platform are using it as a gaming machine?), I have found the Duet more than capable of handling both my email and web browsing task with ease and aplomb, but also proving more than adequate at handling my writing and blogging chores as well. My verdict, if you are looking for a platform that will let you surf the Internet, check your email, read a book, or watch your favorite move, along with full access to all the Google apps, PLUS do all this while being the most portable Chromebook on the planet, you would do well to consider the Lenovo Duet.

Compact and fun
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compact fun. Bought this as a gift for my teen daughter to work on digital art. While it's not a powerful graphics system; it was perfect for the program she utilizes to do casual art work. Not complex graphic design mind you... but more than just basic drawing and coloring art work. It's compact size and long battery life make it a great tool for her to create her work anywhere.

Multi talented
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device hit 9/10 boxes I wanted in a new tablet. I wanted something versatile and this device delivers. If you are looking for a get up and go device this is the one. Chrome OS is becoming more and more mature and while it can't fully do everything a PC or Mac can do it can do 90+% of it. I have a much more expensive laptop and find myself using this device more because of its battery life and ease of use. It's not a spec beast but it gets the job done.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchases this Chromebook Duet because my laptop doesn't work unless it's plugged in. I wanted something that was lighter and easier to carry. I chose the duet after much debate but I am very happy with my purchase. The size is great and the battery life is awesome. It's quick to turn on, I love how I can close it and when I open it up the screen turns right on. I'm new to chromebook but I really like this device

Great work from lenovo
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a previous Chromebook. The performance wasn't that great, but it is much cheaper. With the pandemic we had to buy more so kids could use this for their studies. I found this model and got 2 of them. Kids are more than happy. Size is big enough for them to have their work done, they can use it on the couch or at the table. Performance is much better than my previous Chromebook and now my older kid is jealous. I may need to buy one more...

Handy and affordable tablet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight and small, runs smoothly. I quickly adapted to the keyboard size, and I really like that it comes with a case, that also has the stand. The cameras are nice. It's a nice piece of equipment that has made my work from home life more convenient. The biggest con, the built-in speakers are TERRIBLE. I usually use it with my Bluetooth headphones or a speaker connected.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for my 12-year-old daughter to use at school and at home for homework. It performs flawlessly! The battery life is unreal, it truly lasts for a couple of days of full-time use. The screen is crisp and clear with a HI-DEF look to it. and it's lightning-fast. And the versatility of turning it from a tablet and back to a laptop with such ease. I give this5 stars and if I could give it ten I would,
