Customers regard the IdeaPad Duet Chromebook favorably, particularly praising its ease of use, included keyboard, and excellent battery life. The device's value for the price and compact size are also frequently cited as positive aspects. While some users mention limitations in the amount of RAM and the sound quality of the speakers, the overall user experience appears to be quite positive.

We purchased the "open box" version for the first time. Was in immaculate condition, so first physical impression is great. Just opened it today for use as it was a birthday present, and will have to see how it performs. Will update review if it gets glitchy at all!

We got this for my wife’s online classes she is taking, but unfortunately we needed something a little more powerful, and running windows. This however is a great little machine. I tried to get her to let me keep it, but unfortunately we didn’t have the money to buy both, maybe next time.

I replaced an older Android tablet with this. Since I use a full-size Chromebook there was no learning gap. Especially nice for reading as compared with the 7" tablet since the screen is much larger. It's great that it can switch between a tablet and a mini-laptop by removing the cover and keyboard.

Good tablet/laptop with excellent battery life. I can get a full day's use out of it and I love the keyboard. It's very responsive. The touchscreen isn't as responsive as an ipad, but it's still very good. And a lot less expensive, with the keyboard to boot!

Really nice Chromebook. Especially, the screen is great. If you add up all the case and the keyboard, overall weight may be a bit hefty but still good enough to carry around. Even though the size is about the same as basic iPad this Duet has a slightly bigger screen size due to the narrower bezel.

I give this a 3/5 for actual performance. the 2/5 reflects my disappointment. I bought the Duet as an iPad replacement. The package is beautiful, price is great, and usually I find the whole Chrome/G-Suite thing to be pretty user friendly. For context here are some other electronics I own: -Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1 laptop (works great) -iPad (works great, but about to outlive the supported OS) -Pixel smartphone (works fine) -2x JBL Charge 3 speakers (amazing) -AirPod Pros - (amazing) -BeatsX earbuds (good, but aging) I returned the first Duet, because the touchscreen response was VERY poor. As it, I was always pawing at it, to try to pause and restart a movie, and I'd have to tap the screen 7 or 8 times to get it to respond. Swiping was very hit and miss. I mean, 'touch screen' is very basic stuff, so I can't imagine the issue, when my Pixel phone, and my old iPad do just fine. Also, earbud bluetooth connectivity was unreliable. When watching a movie on HBO, the audio drops out like a 'hiccup' every few minutes. When I pair my two JBL Charge bluetooth speakers in tandem, as I do with all my other devices, the Duet drops them and disconnects. Also, accessing the bluetooth audio options on the fly is cumbersome. So I exchanged it for another Duet, hoping that I had bought a dud. The second Duet has all the same problems. Unfortunately, I was slow to return it, missed the 2week period, and Best Buy informed me that I could neither exchange or return it. This may be the most disappointing new piece of electronics that I've owned. I continue to use it, since I paid for it... but it has other idiosyncracies as well, such as seeming very 'disoriented' when I wake it up . Like a sleepy person who needs their coffee, it responds in a groggy, glitchy manner when I haven't used it in several hours. I would expect this on a 10 year old machine. Not a 4 week old machine. Touch response is poor in various applications. It's hard to swipe to display all of the open apps. 'Scrolling' to a certain time point in a movie is almost impossible. Picture is subpar for modern smart devices. So, it's 'good enough'. I wrote this review on it... I watch movies on it at night, and once I finally get it running, it does fine. I bought it because Apple devices are so expensive, but you know what they say...

Honestly, the price is amazing for what this can do. Being able to install a Linux apps along with Android and ChromeOS is just amazing. My only gripe is that the keyboard is really cramped. I'm constantly mistyping and hitting the enter key. Eventually, I hope I get it. But I'm not holding my breath.

This is a versatile and useful Chromebook. Works as a tablet, or as a mini computer. I hooked it up to a monitor for a second display using a USB-C adapter. I'm currently writing this review on the Duet. Overall great device. I wish they made a 12" or 13" option, but 10" will have to do.

The first Chromebook was defective. I had to return it inside the store which I didn’t appreciate during a pandemic! The second Chromebook works perfect! The keyboard is a bit clumsy but we use it mostly as a tablet for games so it works fine.

I like the Duet. The quality seems great for the price and streaming and web surfing on chrome is great. My only slight disappointment is that although google play is supported, many apps are not even though hardware on this tablet exceeds that of my other tablets where the apps are supported.

I use for basic functions. Good enough quality for the price, though I've found that it will randomly crash. Not sure if that's the fault of the apps I'm using or the device itself.

I absolutely love this product. I am an art teacher, and while it doesn't run ALL the programs I would like it to, it does work perfectly for communicating and interacting with my students on a daily basis. Add in the fact that it works as a tablet, which is great for grading on the go.

Nice product, but a bit under power. It lacks a bit and when left open for a while you notice the slowness. The software with the hardware are way off and the wifi is so-so.

Bought this for my wife and she likes it alot. She needed a newer computer and was thinking about a laptop. Her iPad is also getting a little old and sometimes slow; so she liked the idea of a Chromebook that converted to a tablet therefore replacing 2 machines at the same time.
