Based on my interactions with an in-store ChromeBook representative, I thought it might fit my fairly specific needs: web surfing, emails, hand-written notes, and medical record usage via Citrix. Turns out I've been too privileged with my experience with OneNote and couldn't find a suitable workaround on this device, so I returned.

Google Docs is completely compatible with Microsoft Office Programs and this is a free service through the Google Server. If you currently have a Microsoft Office 365 Account, you can access that existing account through a Chromebook. A bit small for an all day computer for adults, but great for quick internet searches and Android apps. For the price, this can't be beat.

So far he likes it. Not too crazy about it not having a USB port, but he knew about that before I bought it. So far, so good.

Not worth the hype

Processor was slow and pokey compared to other Chromebook/ChromeOS devices and needs a better CPU and I'd reccomend 6GB of RAM to really be worth it. Storage average. Not suited to a power user of technology who needs a responsive, peppy device.

It did freeze a few times at the beginning ( app problem) but my husband optimized some features and it improved. I would recommend it.
