All of this in spite of the prior laptop also having lower specs out of the box. Tried everything, nothing seems to fix the performance issues. Browser crashes semi-frequently, has trouble loading up even some less demanding games, and occasionally goes unresponsive for a few seconds, for seemingly no reason. I think I'll be avoiding Lenovo products in the future.

EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS IT UPGRADEABLE TO 32GB, WITH IT AT 16GB AND I TRY TO PLAY MY GAME IT WILL START TO FREEZE AND OVERHEAT AND SHUT DOWN MY LAPTOP. IF YOU WANT TO USE THIS FOR LIGHT GAMING WITHOUT UPGREADING ITSS A GOOD LAPTOP BUT IF YOU NEED HIGER RAM DO NOT BUY.

Regarding upgrading memory, we recommend consulting with a Lenovo certified technician or a Lenovo Tech Support representative to discuss upgrade options before making any modifications. With the overheating issue, this may be due to incompatible software installed on the computer and ensuring that the installed software is compatible with Windows 11 and the specifications of this IdeaPad Gaming 3. Also, we recommend checking for updates through Windows Update settings. These updates can help resolve issues from operating system bugs to driver software improvements. To navigate there, select start on the taskbar (windows logo) or press the windows key on the keyboard then select Settings. In Settings, select Windows Update, and then select the Check For Updates button. Install any available updates and restart your PC if required. If you didn’t have any updates that required a restart, it’s still a good idea to restart your device to make sure any pending updates are installed. Additionally, check for updates in the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled on Windows devices.
