The first thing you will notice is the dull screen. Even at the highest setting, the screen is not bright enough. The second thing that was a deal breaker for me was the weak speakers. Again, even at the highest settings, you could hardly hear them. Stay away from this laptop.

The battery drains 25% while pluged in when gaming. I have added another 8gb of ddr4 to hopefully improve the fps, but it didnt do much.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Please dont buy this piece of garbage, when I first opened out the box I was genuinely happy, I Thought this device would be amazing, fast and responsive, when I first closed the laptop I realized a popping noise coming from the hinges when I examined it i noticed it came from the right side Hinge as the cheap hard plastic wasnt put together right, I was told I had To ship the device to Lenovo for repairs of the Hinge, keep in mind this is the SAME day I purchased this device. Later I went ahead and did the regular installation of apps which took OVER 10 hours and I kept getting error messages about my connection failure when there was nothing wrong with my internet, this laptop isnt for me I will be returning for something else. Simple games took over 7 hours to install other laptops I had would install games in 2 hours or less this laptop took 6 hours to even download minecraft which kept giving me error messages and i had to keep restarting the PC…. DONT BUY

This IdeaPad Gaming 3, model number 82K201XCUS, features a 45Wh battery, with a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on device settings and its workload. Should you feel like the battery life is shorter than what you desire, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. If these adjustments do not help in prolonging battery life, we recommend reaching out to Lenovo Tech Support for additional assistance at: 877-453-6686.
