Customers are saying

Customers commend the Ideapad Gaming 3 for its strong performance, especially in gaming, and its upgradable RAM, making it a good value for the price. However, some users point to shortcomings in battery life and storage capacity as areas for improvement. The screen brightness and potential overheating issues were also noted as concerns by a few customers. While generally considered easy to use, some users suggest considering upgrades to the power supply and storage for optimal performance.

This Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 82K201XCUS, ships with a Integrated 45Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on the work the device is performing and the Power Management Setting you are using. To maximize battery life, switch to a Hybrid Power Management option. Regarding the touchpad, you can adjust the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 11 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Some more tips for extending battery life between charges: Set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery Charge Threshold is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off Battery Charge Threshold within the Lenovo Vantage APP installed on this computer. In Vantage select Battery Settings and turn off Battery Charge Threshold, if turned on. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 11 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://websiteforstudents.com/how-to-find-what-is-running-in-windows-11/. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 11. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

There is no standoff screw in the mount for a new hard drive. Lenovo cheaped out on a .50cent part. Then they charged me 32$ for a pack of screws that did not even have the part in it. Had to order generic on amazon. Nobody wants to open their brand new laptop with plastic clips 3 times bc lenovo cheaped out on a 50cent screw.

Its a good laptop for a few years of use. - Runs smoothly - Decent lights/colors - Good purchase benefits - Handles decently sized games well. For reference, Cyberpunk has a lot of spikes but runs decent. There are a few flaws. - Very low storage space. Have to delete and reinstall a lot of things to use different things. - Picks up a lot of dust - Fan is a little loud but that could be good and bad - Needs a factory charger

I am very happy that I purchased this notebook. I upgraded the memory from 8 to 16 gb. Ram and the memory went from a 256 to 1 TB. I am very impressed with this brand and very affordable for a gaming laptop. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to get a great laptop for gaming, work, or even school.

So the first one I got shorted out and wouldn't power on anymore. Annoyed, I had to return and replace it with another. This one works just fine. I'm not playing really high end graphic-intensive games. Mostly Space Engineers, 7 Days to Die, World of Warcraft, Elite Dangerous, and a few others that have been out for a while already. So far im happy with it. The laptop does get very hot and I had to get a laptop cooling tray to sit on. It was worth every penny as it keeps the laptop cool. I did run into an issue where graphic-intensive games tend to use more power than the laptop plugged in can supply. Even though the power cord is plugged in, I'll get a low battery notification whenever I play certain games for long periods of time. Best way to solve that is to turn the game off and take periodic breaks which we should all be doing anyways. Would I recommend this laptip? Yes, but you'll really need a cooling pad for it to sit on top of.
