Customers commend the Ideapad Gaming 3 for its strong performance, especially in gaming, and its upgradable RAM, making it a good value for the price. However, some users point to shortcomings in battery life and storage capacity as areas for improvement. The screen brightness and potential overheating issues were also noted as concerns by a few customers. While generally considered easy to use, some users suggest considering upgrades to the power supply and storage for optimal performance.

This is a really good budget laptop whenever it goes on sale for the price. My only concern would be the battery life as it'll run you 5 hours maximum and other issues would be the space of the SSD and the size of the ram but those issues can be fixed with some minor upgrades down the line so nothing crazy. Keep in mind though, I'm writing this because I aqquired it when it was on sale and I wil only say get it whenever it goes on sale.

Light weight and easy to hold and maneuver. The screen isnt the buggest but is good quality and clear. I like the back lit key board and it also has the option to turn that off. Processor seems fast with the little gaming ive done on it using steam games. Overall for the price im very satisfied. I do keep it plugged in when gaming even with it on balanced battery mode it will die quickly, but the battery seems to hold up well for nornal web searching.

Great laptop for the Black Friday price of $550. I added a 1TB SSD and replaced the RAM with two 8GB sticks (16GB in total). Runs great. Handles multiple applications across two monitors easily. Gaming is silky smooth on the modest 1080p display. An easy pick up if you can find it at the right price and don't mind fiddling with a simple upgrade or two. As others have said, the standoff for the second NVM slot is not included which is very inconvenient. You might be able to get an appropriate sized one from a computer shop or perhaps by contacting Lenovo. Either way, I took a star off for it. Of course, the standoff is not needed if you just upgrade with an SSD. See below for compatible upgrade selections. In terms of tools, you will need something to pry the case open with (e.g., a guitar pick) and a small screw driver or two.

I purchased this laptop to replace another Lenovo with and Intel Core 5 chip - I am impressed this computer seems faster and more robust - Windows loads quickly and it has been quick in everything I have processed on it thus far. I will say I'm not using it for gaming purposes but based on how fast it is for regular computing I think it would be an amazing gaming system. I am very happy witth my purchase and would recommend.

This laptop is incredible. Wether for work or play, every task I have thrown at it the machine has far exceeded my expectations. The reason i picked this particular model over other options was the ability the plug and play upgrade components. I have installed an M.2 1tb NVME and upgraded the RAM, both operations were simple and painless. The only drawback is a little bloatware but thats easily handled. definitely recommend this laptop for gaming and productiveness

A normal laptop wouldn't cut it for the kind of simulations I needed to run. This laptop ran laps vs my old one saving me hours of idle time. It also runs games decently if you start to go crazy from work. Battery life could be better.

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 Review: Power Meets Affordability
**Rating: 4.5/5**
The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15.6" FHD Laptop is an impressive blend of performance and value, making it an excellent choice for gamers and productivity enthusiasts alike. With a robust set of features, including a Ryzen 5 5600H processor, 8GB of memory, and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, this laptop offers a compelling performance package at an attractive price point.
**Performance: 4.5/5**
At the heart of the IdeaPad Gaming 3 is the AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor. This 6-core, 12-thread CPU delivers smooth multitasking and impressive speed, easily handling both gaming and demanding applications. Whether you're diving into the latest AAA games or running intensive software, the Ryzen 5 5600H ensures responsive performance.
Paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU, this laptop offers solid gaming capabilities. The RTX 3050 Ti provides real-time ray tracing and DLSS support, which translates to enhanced visual fidelity and improved frame rates in modern games. You can expect a great experience on medium to high settings in most titles, making it a versatile choice for both casual and competitive gamers.
**Display: 5/5**
The 15.6" Full HD display offers a crisp and vibrant viewing experience. With a 1920x1080 resolution, games and movies look sharp and detailed. The screen’s color accuracy and brightness are suitable for most gaming and multimedia needs, though it might not have the absolute highest brightness or color gamut of premium models. However, considering the price, it delivers more than satisfactory performance for everyday use.
**Build and Design: 5/5**
The IdeaPad Gaming 3 sports a sleek, modern design in Shadow Black that exudes a subtle yet stylish gaming aesthetic. The build quality is solid, with a durable chassis that feels robust enough for regular use. The keyboard is comfortable for long gaming sessions, featuring well-spaced keys and decent travel. The trackpad is responsive, though some gamers might prefer using an external mouse for more precision.
**Memory and Storage: 4.5/5**
With 8GB of RAM, the IdeaPad Gaming 3 handles multitasking with ease. For most users, this amount of memory is sufficient, though upgrading to 16GB might be beneficial for heavy multitaskers or more demanding applications. The 256GB SSD provides fast boot times and quick access to files, though storage space might be limited for users with extensive game libraries or large media collections. The SSD's speed significantly improves overall system responsiveness.
**Connectivity and Ports: 4/5**
The laptop includes a good range of connectivity options, including USB Type-C, USB 3.2, HDMI, and Ethernet ports. This variety ensures compatibility with a wide range of peripherals and external displays. The inclusion of an Ethernet port is a notable plus for gamers who prefer a wired connection for optimal stability.
**Battery Life: 4/5**
Battery life on the IdeaPad Gaming 3 is decent but not outstanding. Expect around 4 to 5 hours of use on a single charge, which is typical for gaming laptops with high-performance components. For extended gaming sessions or productivity work away from a power source, you might need to keep the charger handy.
**Final Thoughts:**
The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15.6" FHD Laptop strikes a commendable balance between performance and price. It offers a powerful combination of a Ryzen 5 5600H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, making it a strong contender in the mid-range gaming laptop market. With a solid build, responsive keyboard, and good connectivity options, it caters well to both gamers and general users. While the battery life and storage might not be top-tier, the overall value provided makes this laptop a highly recommended choice for budget-conscious buyers seeking reliable gaming and computing performance.

Bought one open box for 535$ and it was a STEAL, for the price there’s not that’s gonna beat this thing, only two complaints I have is the battery life but I was expecting it due to the processor and graphics card built in to this thing and the speakers aren’t the loudest. Other than that it’s an amazing laptop for the price!

Did amazing for everything I needed and then some. I played every video game I had on it with no problem. Just upgraded 32 gigs of ram. Only probable is it got a single dead pixel after a few weeks of use but nothing bad since
