Customers are saying
Customers commend the Ideapad Gaming 3 for its strong performance, especially in gaming, and its upgradable RAM, making it a good value for the price. However, some users point to shortcomings in battery life and storage capacity as areas for improvement. The screen brightness and potential overheating issues were also noted as concerns by a few customers. While generally considered easy to use, some users suggest considering upgrades to the power supply and storage for optimal performance.

RTX 3050Ti for $600 = STEAL!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.$600 for any laptop with an RTX 3050Ti is a ridiculous deal. This single component makes this a 5/5. You can upgrade the memory to 32GB DDR4 for like $60 and add a 2TB M.2 for like $100 so don't even stress those issues. You should be buying this laptop for the graphics card and that's it. The rest of the components are easily swapped out so it's a moot point. Get it on sale for $600 and smile all the way to the bank!

Solid Performer
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This won't set the world on fire stacked up against much more expensive gaming laptops, but it's hard to beat the price to performance ratio offered here. The chassis and keyboard feel solid and well constructed. Adding additional RAM and an another SSD was easy, though you need to provide your own mounting screws when adding a second storage device.

Over all decent
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a decent laptop, I have upgraded it from 8gb ram to 32gb and put a 1tb ssd in it. There was a weird problem with some games where it wouldn't launch the game because the integrated graphics drivers were interfering with the dedicated 3050ti. This was however fixed by disabling the integrated graphics and re-enabling a short while later.

This is a great laptop!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why this has 3.8 stars, I have no clue. I feel like it definitely deserves 5 at a $549. If the price goes back up to $899, I’d pass on this one because if you can do $899, you might as well get a more spec’d out laptop… but at $549, it’s a deal. Sure the shell is flimsy plastic, but its basically a Legion 5 for $549. Same keyboard, same fan set up as Legion 5, just a subpar shell is all. It runs Fortnite, Death Stranding, everything you’d want to play very well. RAM is upgradable to 32GB, so I’d suggest throwing in another 8GB of RAM when you first get it to take it to 16GB’s, though be careful taking the back off because you will crack it if you’re not gentle with it. I got this to handle schoolwork until I graduated in another year and a half since I’m getting in to some heavy applications to complete my engineering degree. I figured if it was coined as gaming laptop, it would definitely handle multiple things going on at once for school so I wasn’t expecting a beefy gaming experience. But to my surprise it also handles 99% of games like a champ as well. It comes with a GamePass Ultimate subscription, so I ended up saving money until February off my existing GamePass subscription. The storage is upgradable as well, and you can upgrade the WiFi card. I’ve had it for a week now and have been patiently wanting every day to get off work and play games and do homework. Everything just works well on this laptop and I couldn’t be more happy with it!

great deal
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this during the Black Friday deals back in November. great for gaming and regular productivity. the only downside that I had when I first bought it was the lack of memory and Hard drive space. since the purchase, I have upgraded the memory to 32 gigabytes and added a 2 TB m.2 SSD. Works so well I even suggested it to a co-worker and did the same upgrades to that one.

Best option for 600$ or less
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop plays all the games I need at high graphics while maintaining at least 60fps. The only downside is the keyboard is only white. The included 100 something watt charger will need to be upgraded because the battery starts to drain when plugged in gaming. Only buy this at 600 or less you can buy a rtx 4050 laptop for 800 right now.

Great for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop goes on sale a lot. When you could get a sale under $600, the base storage and ram is a bit low, but you can spend less than $100 on more storage and ram and have an insanely good laptop. The screen is a bit dim but for the price the screen is great.

Great budget gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best budget gaming laptop. I bought jt on sale for 600 dollars, and it has done everything i needed. I am unsure if it could run newer games, but it runs games like Batman Arkham night good. Overall, i would recommend it to anyone who wants a gaming laptop and does not really care if they only get around 45-60 fps on most new games

Good Laptop, decent price, handles games great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop. I got a great deal and it and it's worked great. Lenovo has always made pretty decent and sleek for the price. Works great with Rocket League and the Hunter: Call of the Wild. It handled both of those games almost flawlessly. Looking forward to maybe even doing a little video editing in college and with the ssd its pretty fast.
